"Y/n you wait here, we will come back when the coast is clear," Dwalin told you. You watched as the company filed out of large spooky, warehouse.
You had entered Laketown successfully in hopes of returning to the mountain. The group thought leaving you here would be safe. You admired how they looked out for you and respected you in a fight. They knew very well that you could handle your own, but the company often stepped in to protect you. You saw them as your big brothers-well except for one. You had grown very fond of Fili. You were courting and you loved him more than your brain had words for.
You sat on a barrel inside the empty warehouse. You didn't like the way it's darkness seemed creeped up on you. To get your mind off of it you picked at the dirt and grime beneath your nails. You continued this for a bit until you heard a door open.
"Ugh! Finally guys! This place gives me the creeps I-" you were cut off by the sight of who you thought was the company, wasn't. It was three lake men. They all looked at each other and started walking toward you. You hopped off the barrel and unsheathed your sword.
"Don't come any closer! I know how to use a sword!" You warned them. You didn't like the vibe these men gave off. It almost felt like there were here to do more than just harm you, and that frightened you. Everyone has their weaknesses and this was yours; being over powered and helpless. You felt like an angel surrounded by demons; a small light in the dark.
You dropped your sword and froze in fear. You legs couldn't move and you couldn't scream. One of them used their large and dirty hands to hold onto your now, thrashing arms.
"Get off of me!" You cried. You felt hot tears in your eyes.
"Not until we've had our fun missy!" Said one of the men. You moaned in fear. The man who held you picked you up and slammed you hard on the ground. The breath from your lungs left you for a moment.

"You see my buddies, and I- we don't get out much. We haven't had the company of a woman in such a long time. We thought, we'd all get together and share yas," he said behind few teeth. He raised a hand to you back handed you across the face. You knew just exactly what they had in store for you. Rape.
"N-no please let me go! My company will be back shortly and there will be hell to pay!" You screamed at the man in top of you.
"At least by then we can unleash years of pent up anger and loneliness on you," he held you down tightly as he leaned down and licked your neck. You wanted vomit at the contact. You let out a sob.
"Cry! Cry all you want- no ones gonna save you now," said one of the men you looked at him and saw he and his friend had their members out and were stroking them. You felt so vulnerable and weak.
You watched as the man on top of you ripped off you clothing all the way to your breasts. He looked at your chest like it was something he hungered for. You felt so violated by this man. He leaned down again and sucked on one of your breasts; he messaged the other roughly. Your screams felt like they were going unheard. You thought you might faint from not being able to catch your breath. You felt a sharp pain on your nipple. You screamed bloody murder as the man bit you. Your nipple would surely bruise. You saw a bit of blood seep from it.
You felt the man rip a hole in your pants and underwear roughly.
"! No more! Please stop!" You cried and tried to inch away.
"The more you fight it, the more painful it's gonna be missy!" He growled. You felt him thrust a sharp finger in you. You howled at the pain. His finger was too long, it was calloused and rough. Just when you thought this was where you were going to die, the doors slammed opened. You looked to see Fili and company running in, and angry. Extremely angry.
"FILI! HELP ME!" you cried. The man on top of you was struggling to get up. Fili got to him first. He threw a hard punch on his face and the other dwarves took care of the two other men. You shot up and scurried to Thorin who was the closet person to you. You tucked yourself in his chest. You needed to feel safe. Thorin wasted no time wrapping his arms around you. He stroked your hair and tried to hush you from your tears.

"You miserable piece of filth!" Fili kicked the man on the ground hard. "You would sink that low and touch my woman? Do you know who I am?!" He kept on rambling insults and beating the man. The other two men where being held and watching all of this go down. You peeked from your spot and watched with dark satisfaction as he got his arse handed to him.
Fili kicked and punched a few more bloody rounds into the now crying man. He gave orders to tie the others up an leave them in this warehouse. Fili made his way over to you. You let go of Thorin and ran into Fili's arms. His familiar embrace had you crying more.
"Shh shh I'm here y/n we're all here," he rubbed your back soothingly.
"I hope those rats rot in here," Dwalin said walking back. The group made a circle around you. You felt a blanket be placed over you by Bofur. You used the fabric to cover yourself up.
"I-I thought they were going to kill me," you sobbed.
Fili pulled back to look at you he noticed where the man had smacked you," did he hurt you anywhere else?" He said thickly behind extremely pissed anger. You nodded slowly. "Where?" You pulled back and let only him see where your breast was turning an ugly shade of purple, you let out a light moan at the sight of it; plus it heart like the devil. Fili held you back to his chest.
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill em' Uncle!" Fili shouted at the king.
"I never said you couldn't," Oakenshield said emotionless. Fili thought for a moment and gently handed you over to you great friend Bofur.
"Don't watch lass," Bofur tried to shimmy do you couldn't see.
"no." Was the only thing you said coldly and Bofur turned and let you watch. He knew he'd never hear the end of it if he didn't let you do this.
You watched as Fili approached the men slowly. He pulled one of his dwarvish swords out and swung it in his hand. He went to the one of the kneeling men and slit his throat. He slowly walked to the other and without hesitation, did the same thing. Now he saved the best for last. Your attacker was trying scurry away. Fili slammed his sword down and cut the man's member off. The man howled in pain. Next Fili lined his sword up with the mans throat. He raised his sword and slammed it down again cutting off his head. You almost felt bad for being glad that these men were no longer alive. Fili screwed the man's cut off length and planted his sword into the ground. It stood as a reminder of what that man had done and was about to do. You smiled a bit at the justice.
Fili walked back with blood on his shirt- he wiped some from his forehead as he clung you back to him," if they lived, they would just torment some other poor girl. I've actually done them all a favor," he said. You heard the company make quiet agreements.
"You have a point in what you did, but don't ever let power go to your head Fili," Thorin instructed," come, we must find y/n some shelter and comfort. She had been through far more than we have and it's the least we could do," you were grateful at Thorin's words.
As you walked out, tucked under Fili's arms you couldn't help, but smile as you saw your brothers form a protective cluster around the two of you. They loved you and would do anything within their power to make you happy.

The Legendary Class
At the height of the Age of Terror, humankind lay shattered, its few survivors scattered like dust in the wind. It is said that at the brink of extinction, the Gods intervened and blessed five champions known as “The Titans” with legendary classes. To this day, every small child dreams of obtaining a legendary class. Whether there is any truth to this ancient tale is unknown, but it is a certainty that in each generation perhaps a handful of those children will, in fact, obtain a legendary class. But, if they ever did, the Gods no longer answer prayers, and, in modern times, a legendary class is often far from a blessing.

The Emperor's Chef
"Cook like your life depends on it, kid. Because it does." Charles had an enviable future lined up for him. Training from the age of five by some of the finest chefs in the world. Schooling at a top culinary academy in the capital. An honorable position as heir to House Boulier, a line of merchant-lords who have charmed the rich and powerful with their cooking for centuries. And in a single night, it all burned to ash. When the outbreak of war destroys his hometown, Charles is charged with escorting his family’s sacred treasure—a recipe book passed down for untold generations—out of harm's way. But his simple mission grows complicated when he’s captured by one of the most feared battalions in the world: the Spears of Mercy. Life as a prisoner in their war camp is brutal and uncertain. Charles has few allies and even fewer strengths to rely on. Only his skills in the culinary arts, honed over a lifetime in the kitchen, are deemed useful enough to keep him alive another day. But he’s not out of hope just yet. With a dash of wit, a pinch of luck, and some very creative cooking, he might just find a way to recover his family’s legacy and take back his freedom. This project is a food-themed fantasy that centers on cooking and chefs. The setting spans a wide world featuring ingredients/recipes both real and inspired by traditional fantasy. I'll eventually be publishing it as a full-length novel (or series of novels depending on length). These are the first draft chapters. I'll likely be re-writing more than once, then editing before publishing, so impressions and feedback are quite welcome. If you like the story so far and you're interested in being an early reviewer for the final product, feel free to message me. I'm looking for an artist to make some concept art and a cover (the cover shown here is just a temporary placeholder). A stand-alone novel for now, but it may turn into a series down the road.

Phantom Storm
"Have you heard, the entire Bonanno crew was brutally murdered!" Exclaimed a youth in his early teens. "What? you're lying, again!" Another similarly aged child responded with crisp denial in his tone. After all, the crew was infamous for their ruthlessness. An eery silence passed between them. Soon enough, the teens' curiosity trumped his ego, and he found himself inquiring in a meek voice. "So...Who did it?" "I heard my father talking about it while he was drunk. Guess what he said?..." The child responded, he was a natural-born storyteller. Listening intently, the other teen urged him on. "It was done by a single person. When the police arrived, the bodies were charred black, likely the work of an electro mage. Most had an arrow or two lodged in their body, and a few were even chopped into neat little slices by a sharp blade." He paused, inhaling sharply. "All the victims had shocked expressions on their faces. As if the enemy was invisible or something. That's why they call that person the Phantom Storm!" concluded the adolescent with an excited glint in his eyes. 2 CHAPTERS PER WEEK (Canada time) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] -------------------------------------------- Follow Itsuki as he is reincarnated in an unfamiliar world, left to discover where he belongs in such a place. Witness his exploits. Watch him build his kingdom, receive a rare class, and overcome trial upon trial. Our character will improve, learn, become better than yesterday, and strive for more power. All the while working his way up the food chain in this brutal and unforgiving new world. *Disclaimer:* - The protagonist starts weak and a little naive, but I guarantee he will become quite capable over time. There will be no sudden power gains. The protagonist will have to work hard for what he gets. - This story is not about a loner, he'll have a few companions, and they will not be useless. - Some romance will be explored but not take away from the story. The main character will not be dense. Absolutely no harem will happen, but there might be a few love interests, no more than 3. - I will try my best to not follow cliches and stay as original as possible. - This story is my first ever, whether online or in real life. Thus, I might have grammatical errors here and there. The story might have a few plot holes and other such minute mistakes, as well. But I guarantee to try my best. Please give me feedback so that I can deliver a better story and learn to write better.
