"I think there's something wrong with my phone. It doesn't have your number in it".
"Fine," I reply. "It's 1-800-Cassé toi."
"Hmm?"
"French for 'go away'".
His shoulders slump. He looks defeated. I'll admit it, he is kinda ho- WHAT? No! He's my sworn enemy. NO. No no no. No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no.
Jefferson looks up, probably having thought of another pick-up line.
"Do you have a band-aid? Cuz I scraped my knee falling for you."
AGH. Why am I thinking like this. I have half a mind to go kiss him! Actually....maybe. I pull a bandaid out of my pocket, hand it to him, and wink. Then I turn on my heel and walk away. You could practically hear him smile.
