I finish dusting of the cabinets. Then I hear Philip jump down the stairs. Sometimes he does not act like he's 17. Oh great. He's singing. Don't get me wrong, I love my son's voice. But the words are terrible.
"I'M TOO HOT!"
Ugh. That song. He ends up next to me and holds the hairbrush (I guess he's using it as a microphone) to my mouth. Ugh. No. Please no.
He raises his eyebrows, still grinning like an idiot. Fine.
Completely monotone and straight faced, I mutter.
"Hot damn".
His grin widens as he runs away.
"CALL THE POLICE AND THE FIREMAN" He shrieks from his bedroom. I hum along as I finish cleaning.

But not all is as it seems in the shadows of Stormwall, and if Tay can figure out the importance of what it is he's stolen, he may just have a chance at saving the game of Runicka. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Runicka: Tournament of Monsters is a high fantasy, card game-based adventure novel with enough magic, worldbuilding, and characters to fill a Sanderson series. I would consider it a part of the GameLit subgenre. This series in particular is not an isekai, and will start and end in a high fantasy setting complete with its own lore and backstory. It is a progression fantasy, and I am writing it inspired by all the Yu-Gi-Oh mangas/animes, and all the hours I've invested/wasted (depending on who you ask) playing TCGs like Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic: The Gathering. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a work in progress. In your journey through Stormwall alongside Tay, you'll probably find typos, grammatical errors, and maybe a confusing sentence every once in a while (although I hope to keep these to a minimum).
