Wattpad allows you to dedicate your published story parts to other Wattpadders that you'd like to make a special mention of in your work.

You can only dedicate to other users that you are following on Wattpad. Enter their username and once the you've dedicated a story part, the user that you dedicated to will receive a notification about it.

You can add, edit or remove a dedication at any time, provided the part is published. Unfortunately, this feature is not available on the apps.

To dedicate a chapter on the website:

You must first publish your chapter before you can add a dedication.

1. Click on on the top menu bar

2. Select a story

3. Open the story part

4. Click on the three dots in the upper right-hand corner

5. Click Add beside 'Dedicate'

6. Type in a username

7. Click Dedicate

Mentioning another user in your chapter

Grab another user's attention by adding them to the conversation in a comment, or by mentioning them in a story by tagging them in it!

When a user is mentioned in a comment or in a story part, their name will appear as a link, which leads to their Wattpad profile. The user will also receive a notification that you have mentioned them.

Please note that you are only able to mention users that you are currently following.

To mention a user on the website or apps:

In a comment or message:

1. Type an @ followed by the username (no space in between)

In story text:

1. Type an @ symbol

2. Start typing the username or scroll through the list of generated usernames and select one

3. Click enter or return
