If you would like to guide your readers to a link so they can see your personal website or so they can see a reference to something you've written about in that story part, you can add an external link to your story.

External links will appear at the bottom of your story part on the web and users will see a hyperlink under the votes section (next to the Sharing options) where they can click the word 'External Link' to go to that page.

Note: This function is only visible on the Wattpad Website and with a mobile web browser

You must have at least one part of your story published to be able to add an external link.

On the Web:

1. Click on

2. Open a story

3. Click on the title of a story part

4. Click on the three dots in the upper right-hand corner

5. Click on beside 'External Link'

6. Type in or paste a link in the text box and click Ok
