"So this book writes down everything that is happening right?" Charity said rubbing his head. "Yes, it went as far as my father calling for the extermination of the werewolves." Brian's fists were echoing off his punching bag and into the large gym we stood in. Brian dripped with sweat anger rolling off of him in waves. Charity glanced at me before back at Brian.
We both knew this was not just about the extermination of werewolves. It was about the king taking back Elizabeth. "I have already rallied the Alphas in the states they should be able to hold their own for a while." Brian growled. "What does the book say now? Any way to stop this shit before it gets more out of hand?"
"No it just stops and goes as it pleases." I whispered to him. I lay back on the hard floor of the gym. "Vampire history tells us that the Hartfords did die by the kings family, though the wolves turned on the family half way through the battle. It is said that the Alpha wolf killed the king's mother." "He wants to kill all wolves because of one pack?" Brian growled. I could see hair beginning to sprout on his back as his teeth began to lengthen. "Calm yourself." "I am fucking calm." He growled giving the punching bag one last punch. "Wait. Wait. Your mother was saying she was a witch right?" Charity asked.
"Enchantress." Brian corrected. I couldn't help the chuckle that escaped my lips. Brian growled once more before joining us on the floor. "Well its said that the king's father enlisted help." "What kind of help?" I asked sitting up once more. "The magic kind." "It all fits together." Brian whispered. "How so?" "This battle was before our time so much before our time. I remember in the ancient lycan scrolls it was said that were created from the moon goddess. As was the enchanters. It was vaguely said that they created us almost. Yet we became their biggest competition.

Hatred between werewolves and Enchanters have long since been known through out centuries." "The enchanters enslaved the werewolves did they not?" I asked. I had read something like this on Harmony private bookshelf. "Yes, but the elders broke free and branched out to create their own packs." "So what you're telling me is. We have all been played like toys." "Yes." "So let me get this straight. The Hartford were powerful royals besides the king and queen of vampires. A lower branch family wanted to ascend to that status as well and began to feud with the Hartford family.
From what I have heard the Hartford family was a formidable opponent. So the family would have to enlist help, but if Enchanters are stronger why ask the wolves?" "They didn't asked the wolves first they asked the Enchanters. Yet you know how the enchanters are very cryptic and calculating. So none the less they must have refused." "So with no other options they asked the wolves." Brian whispered. "But wolves don't follow orders other than the Alpha's.
So he must have pissed off the Alpha. So the Alpha killed the king's mother and retreated from the fued. So the families killed each other off." "That still doesn't explain how your father became king." Charity glanced at me. "He was adopted into the royal family." "But the position would have been given to a blood cousin, which my father is." "So all he had to do to get his revenge was murder my father and mother along with my sister and I." "How does Harmony fit into all this?"

Transposition
Please note: the Sexual Content tag is there due to a single brief plot-relevant scene, which has a warning at the beginning. For other details, read the full description below. Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 5 x 5*, 2 x 4.5*, 1 x 0.5* During a blackout, a frail and ragged old woman stops to ask for a glass of water from a backyard barbecue party. Given a good supper instead, she looks around the group, and tells them, "Be who and what you truly are." Days later, seven of the people from the barbecue find themselves drawn into a trap laid by a pair of wizards and their accomplices, who kidnap them into a bubble reality. All seven, who have known each other all their lives, are informed that they are not in fact entirely human: they have active fae blood, due to a series of conditions culminating with the blessing of the elderly fae woman. The transformation into fae form comes as a shock: all seven, whether originally female or male, find themselves now unreasonably beautiful women. More urgent even than that, though, is their captivity. Getting back to the real world is a higher priority than this metamorphosis that rapidly begins to feel natural... but this is only the first step, as the diverse types of fae blood they carry begin to surface. With no resources except themselves, how can they escape this prison? If they succeed, how can they possibly reclaim their lives? Just how many other faelings have been kidnapped, anyway, and what happened to them? And is there a way to make sure that their captors never put anyone else through this? Back in the real world, Kayla, who learned long ago to trust her gut instincts, is absolutely certain that something is very wrong. The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. Then a young woman turns up at the backyard gate who knows more than she should, and even though her explanation makes even less sense, every instinct tells Kayla that Riley is her only way to get them back. If they're not quite what they were, well, that's a bridge to cross later... Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-) Also available on Scribble Hub.

Some may be pushed more than others, but everyone has a limit. These are the threads binding us to our identity that, once pulled taut, can't go any further without snapping. When every last thread is cut and we are left to face ourselves in a mirror, will we even recognize the person standing there? This is a tale of loss, of the powerless achieving power, of gods and men, and of the hatred and ambition that propels the founding of a legend. This is a tale of revenge. Tales from the Triverse
Tales from the Triverse is part detective drama, part fantasy adventure and part space opera. I’m influenced by the likes of Iain M Banks, Isaac Asimov and ND Stevenson and work including The Wire and Gotham Central. It begins with an incident two hundred years ago which crashed three parallel universes together. Portals open up in 18th century London, sending England down a very different path. We pick up events in the 1970s, with the Metropolitan Police having established a new department to handle portal-related criminal activity. The story is about intolerance, immigration, multiculturalism and power. It’s about what happens when incompatible viewpoints are weaponised to seed discontent, and the efforts of some to create a fairer world. In the tradition of the best science fiction, fantasy and crime fiction, I’m using the setting to examine themes that matter to me in the real world. Who is it for?If you like science fiction or fantasy, or a mix of both, this is for you. It’s my first foray into crime fiction, but I hope if you’re a fan that you’ll enjoy yourself - especially if you’re looking for something a bit different. I write fiction that is optimistic, progressive and empathetic. Bad things can happen to good people in the stories, but the overall arc tends to be hopeful. Note that if it were a movie, Tales from the Triverse would be a 15 certificate in the UK.
