"So the king has issued the extermination of all lycanthropy." I whispered looking up at Eric. He smiled faintly his lips curling up at the ends. The smile was a malicious one, it was hardly a smile anyone would glance twice at. My hand instinctively went to my stomach as i shifted my gaze to the floor. Eric sat on his throne which was place upon the highest pedestal within his castle. The only lights in the room came from the candles hanging on the wall. Eric was dressed in all black from his leather boots, to his long sleeved shirt and cape that hung around his powerful shoulders. "Tell me princess, how does it feel to be carrying a very powerful child in your belly?" "That question seems a bit foreign to your liking. Why the curiosity?" He chuckled darkly before throwing his head back in full blown laughter. His laughter unnerved me; my hands shook visibly behind my back. "To answer my question with a question, just like Esmerelda. If you must know I just worry about your health darling." "Please do not call me darling, you know I hate that pet name. Why did you call me here?" "I need you to do a little bit of traveling. Go to America to see to it that the wolves retaliate against the vampires properly. Do not let the Wolves of the Silver River pack fail." "Siding with your blood Eric?" He growled playfully at me. "Of course not they will be a powerful asset in this war." "As you wish," "I opened a portal for you behind those curtains. The battle should have started by now." I nodded before going to the portal. My dress dragged behind me as I walked. I could feel my sleeves brush against my dress. I hated the dress code Eric had instilled around this castle. I had to wear a long dress that went down to my feet with long sleeves that hung from my wrists. My hair had to me down at all times. We all dressed in all black with the Valtor family emblem on it. Only my emblem doubled with the Hartford house to show the help that I was royalty.
I growled as I entered the portal I stood outside in daylight. The only shade I had from burning to complete ash was the shade of the tree I stood on. The trees leaves hung low giving me complete coverage from the sun. Eric knew that I was vulnerable to the sun in my condition. Even if it was the evening sun I could still die from being this weak. I could here the sound of growls coming from below. I smiled as the scent of blood filled my nostrils I rubbed my stomach. "Mommy will feed later." "Who is there?" A woman's voice sounded from below. I glanced down staring into the silver eyes of a woman. The scent of dog radiated from her as she stood completely bare before me. "Vampire." She growled. The woman's hair fell to her shoulders and passed her back to her waist in onyx waves. Her skin was light brown her face heart shaped with plump lips. "Who are you?" I asked easing myself down on to the branch. She stared at me curiously before glancing to my extended stomach. "This is a dangerous place to be vampires. Especially if you are a reproducing one." "Why have you not killed me if it is so dangerous." She glanced at the ground spitting before glancing once more in my direction. I grimaced at her manners. Then again wolves were always like that. "I sympathize with you for being able to bare children. Wouldn't want to harm an innocent life. Even if it is going to grow up to be a leech." I snarled at her. "So you are a barren wolf." She growled menacingly her eyes clouding to a dark black. "Leave now." The woman shifted into a large silver wolf before running off into the forest. The sound of fighting was closer now. Time to get to work, I moved up the tree stealthily not wanting to hurt the baby. I could see out into the clearing one by one I could see vampires an wolves killing themselves in a fight. It looked that the vampires had luck on their sides seeing as they were tearing through the wolves much faster than the Wolves. "Sorry cannot have that." I glanced at the wave of vampires that were heading towards the small amount of wolves that were left. I could tell they were calling reinforcements. I sighed before raising my right hand. I summoned as much power as I could blast it in their direction. My eyes began redden as I felt my power course through me. I needed this to be a clean shot. My energy brought down the entire wave in one swoop the corpses turning to ash as their blood bled out from them. A familiar scent caught my attention. Deeply hidden in the trees I caught sight of blonde hair. I stepped back in shock as the woman met my eyes. My brother's mate glared back at me. "Shit." I stepped back through the portal. "Back so soon?" Eric whispered.

He sat on the edge of his seat staring down at me. He raised an eyebrow at my silence. She caught me red handed in my act? How am I supposed to face Lance now? He would know that I am traitor? The baby started to stir within me as it felt my nervousness. "You abandoned my assignment?" "Jessica my brother's mate is there. She is hiding in the trees amongst the wolves." "Kill her if she gets in your way. Hurry and finish the job." "You are insane!" The baby kicked against my stomach sending me forward a bit. A shriek escaped my lips from the force of its kick. "The child is a strong one." "I'll take my leave." "I'll have someone else finish for you. Go recover." I nodded once more before leaving the throne room. I could not let that woman ruin my relationship with Lance. At least not at the moment, it was either her or me. And I choose me and my family. " Victor." I whispered knowing the man could hear me. He was one of the help. His magic was superior to all the help in the castle.
He appeared beside me. The man looked to be in his late fortys with slightly graying hair. He was a little pale from staying in the castle for so long. He stared at me with his bright blue eyes. "I need you to open a portal at the end of this hallway to Hallstead, New Jersey. I want it to lead me to Jessica. Follow me." He did as he was told as we walked through the portal. The sun had begun to set sending the forest into complete darkness. We stepped through the portal. The smell of rotting corpses hung in the night air. Jessica's candy scent was strong near here. She was close we just needed to find her. "Jessica." I called. I strode through the forest with Victor at my heels. He stayed silent waiting for his next order. My mood had soured with the scent of wolves and vampires ashes. I could barely stand the sight any longer. "Jessica." I called once more. A rustling of leaves stopped me in my tracks. It wasn't Jessica it was the lycan from earlier, this time properly dressed. "I'm pretty sure I told you to leave vampire." "I am so scared. Move aside." "Are you looking for something on my land. No not something, but someone." "I hate arrogant lycans that like to pry." I brushed passed her as I went deeper towards Jessica's scent. "I asked you a question vampire." She caught my arm with enough force to make me fall. My instincts kicked into over drive. I blasted her back several feet until she hit her head roughly against a large tree. I could see her blood oozing from her head. The woman lost consciousness, easily I could finish this woman off. "You won't believe who I saw in the clearing-" I snapped my head to side to see Jessica walking towards me. I smiled viciously the lycan would live this time. Jessica barely had time to utter the next word as i was suddenly beside her. "Harmony is-" Victor snatched the phone from her hand bringing her attention to us. "Harmony your alive? what are you doing here? Why did you kill those vampires? Oh my gosh your pregnant!" "As much as i would love to answer those questions I can not." "What?" "You know to much." Victor's hand connnected to the back of her head knocking her out effectively. "Bring her with us." I watched as he grabbed my sister in law and through her limp body over his shoulder. She knew to much.

"Harmony what?" I shouted into the phone. The line went dead i stared at Lance as his eyes grew wide. "What is wrong with Harmony? Tell me she is okay!" Lance grabbed the collar of my shirt jerking my body forward. I growled at him staring into his wild eyes. "Harmony is alive "
