"yeah, bad things happen to good people" I said as Cassey couldn't hide her shock

"What did your dad do?" She brushed a strand of blonde hair from her eye

"He doesn't let me do anything again, he's being very careful" I munched something else that was in my plate

"About Nick?"

"He informed the police, they are carrying out investigations"

Just before I was done speaking, Cass picked her phone up to call her mum who picked on the third ring

"Hi mum, yeah so I'm gonna be going home with Amy so you might not see me till tomorrow"

"Yeah okay, love you too" she dropped the phone

"Hallelujah" I said raising my hands high

"We didn't finish our little investigations" she smirked

The ride home was sooo cool. My dad and I drove in front while Cass drove behind. She had a convertible so she stuck her hand out a couple of times. I don't think she cared about damaging her mum's car because there were times it looked like she was trying to swerve off the road but she'd just laugh and say she was kidding.

My dad dropped me off and made sure Cassey and I locked the door before he left. The only worker left with us was Freeda in case we needed help. My father trusted Freeda a lot, probably more than he trusted me.

Cassey thought we should start our findings from my father's room and this time, his diary was our case study. I'm finally going to get the chance to complete what I started
