As Giles walked into the elegant dining room of the mansion he saw many expressions. Scared, worried, nonchalant, and other varies of these. The group of people were discussing how the murder happened.
"My dear guests," Giles stated, "The killer seems to have a message for you."
He pulled out what looked like an index card on steroids. It was polished, laminated, and had the rue manor crest on center of the card.
"Dear guests, I am hear to tell you how I pulled off the death defying murder. Allow me to explain. It all started when David was writing a letter to his friends. It stated that he knew that something bad was going to happen in the house. He was right. So before word got out I had to dispose of him. I filled the pen he was using to write with white ink, mixture of cyanide and ricin. Of course all went well when he pricked him self with the pen. Poor "Sleeping Beauty" was helpless after that. I then entered his room with my own handheld gun with a silencer and made sure the job was done. The slug blew him back and pushed him off the railing. Explaining the bruises on his back. His scream could be heard for only a split second and then all was quiet. Oh and the killer is among you, one of the "contestants" not Giles!"
Everyone shivered at the thought of that. They looked around scanning the room to who they thought the killer was. Giles then told them it was time for bed and everyone went back to their room. Giles was sitting in his quarters thinking about who the killer might be then he feel asleep. He woke up to loud boom! He ran in and saw out one of the windows that Matt Grey, Cyril Marinescu, and Layla Simon were in a tree, dead.

Fear. Regret. Memories. They all flashed before my eyes as my life began to fade away. I felt a darkness encroach upon my heart followed by a sinister foreboding. Within that moment I was asked a single question by a powerful, mystical being. “Brave being, do you wish to accomplish a great deed in your life?” “No,” I refused, but the voice did not listen. It summoned me to its world only to try to have me slaughtered. But then, I was saved by him, the princess who disguised herself as a man. He was hellbent on revenge, and he was determined to drag me down with him. This story is meant to be a bit of a mix of genres and cultures, so there are some elements that may seem xianxia like, but it's not exactly the same so I didn't tag it. It also has multiple lead characters but is written in first person. Schedule: Dropped Normal Chapter Length: approximately 3000 words Warning: Tagged [15+] for Strong Language and Violence (Gore and Profanity aren't very prevalent, but I added the warning tags just in case).
