《Doctor Who : The Emerging Robots》The Race Against Time

The wires at the bottom of the head the Doctor had pulled off had began to spark in his arms. The first time it did so he dropped the head as hundreds of volts sent flying through his body electrifying his muscles and frying his arm. A warning siren went off to signal the remaining Sedranstak that it was only 4 minutes until time collapsed on Earth permanently. Red lights flashed rapidly throughout the corridor. He slowly approached the cockpit knowing the other robot would surely shoot him straight on sight if he wasn't careful. The door to the cockpit was sealed shut from the inside. The screwdriver was yet again the only way of getting inside to stop time from freezing. Using his other arm to get the device from his inner left pocket, he pressed the button causing a whirring sound to alert the robot to announce something the Doctor knew would happen.
"Doctor, if you dare to go through with your plan, you will be shot on sight and disintegrated to ash. Turn around and get back in the chamber or you will suffer the consequences." The Doctor payed no attention to what was being asked of him, instead proceeding with the plan. What he was clearly unaware of was the sound of heavy stomps from the other side coming closer. As the sonic finally worked, the door unlocked and opened only to reveal a large Sedranstak robot holding his gun towards the Doctor. "I warned you."
The Doctor gulped and straightened up before the robot. "Activate to Standard Execution Level 2. Prepare to die Doctor."
"I've just been reborn again, doubt this will do much. Do your worst." The robot fired directly into the Doctor's chest, sending him crashing down to the floor and dropping the head.

"What is the meaning of this ?"
"Simple. Your mate just couldn't take on a partially frozen Time Lord. Shame, I'll have that back now. He's in the cryogenic freezing room if you want to see him." The robot proceeded to run down the corridor to see the outcome of the other, leaving the door to the cockpit wide open for a weak Doctor to alter what they had in mind. He staggered forward with a slight hole in his chest, knowing the Sedranstak wouldn't be long. He would persevere with himself in order to save Earth yet again. He still had the head in his grasp as he swayed left to right, as if he was drunk. He approached the console to attempt to stop the crash with his screwdriver. He then realised he dropped it as he was shot. That was just more time wasted as he staggered back where he was previously, developing a faster pace. When he got down to get the screwdriver, he looked up from a crouched position to see metallic legs and the tip of a gun in front of him.
"Right, how are you doing? All good."
"You killed Simon. You will pay."
"Simon? Who's Simon?"
"That was Simon, my closest friend, like a brother towards me, and you've killed him." He swung his gun around quickly and aimed at the man. He had no choice but to face up to another blast.
The bullet hit him in the chest yet again, however this time he arose only to reseal the two holes and force the bullets out. He was still in the first hour of his residual energy cycle and was able to do this. He regained his strength and ran into the cockpit, being shot at but missing by a narrow amount. He ran over and picked up the head, cupping it in his arm as he carried on running towards the main controls. The screwdriver was in use whilst the robot stormed over. It fired yet again and hit the console, causing the time crash to stop. A loud crash could be heard from the outside. From outside security footage, the TARDIS had finally crashed into the diner causing a fire to erupt from the inside. Time was restored. The Sedranstak however was still on a murderous rampage and activated his current mode to level 5 as it raised the gun to aim at the Doctor.

"You have put me out of business. You will die."
"Likely." He threw the head of the other robot towards the oncoming bullet causing it to explode in the remaining Sedranstak's face, causing it to malfunction slightly. It dropped the gun as it restored itself. This left an opportunity for the Doctor to take it in which he did. "Didn't take long for the tables to turn did it?" As that was said, he fired at the legs of the robot, paralysing it. He then shot the arms off the robot.
"I'm sorry, it had to be done." He finally expressed some remorse for this Sedranstak as it lay useless. The Doctor didn't have to perform an autopsy this time as he knew what was inside. "Tell me who you were before you were converted. I'd love to know."
"I was... a Private... I... hid... behind the... cover... my friend Simon... was hiding... with me..."
"What was your name?"
"My name... is... Trevor." The Doctor knew that this was causing immense pain for Trevor. He could only shut him down to stop the pain. One switch of the sonic device put the pain to rest and the former Private to sleep. The Doctor had saved time but let 3 people die in the process. He couldn't help but see himself as a monster. He left the ship with his heart sinking deeper and deeper with each step. It was the only way to save time and he knew that.
He entered the TARDIS and dematerialised only to materialise inside the ship...
