I was about finished dusting off the house and was ready to take my break when a voice stopped me. "Maria!" I heard. I turned and my expectations matched reality. Aurora engulfed me in a hug and I was happy to see her. I didn't really think I would be able to see her again. "I'm so happy to see you again." She said. Butterflies stated to fell my stomach. This meant that she had missed me just like I missed her.
"Really?" I said taking my bottom lip into my mouth due to my nervousness. "I missed you too." I said quietly.
"Alex and I were going to watch a movie and since you seem to be on break I was wondering if you wanted to come along?" She said. Behind Aurora was an angry looking Mr. Mills who seemed to be glaring daggers at me. He came up close to Aurora and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"What is going on here?"Mr. Mills said with gritted teeth. I gulped because I knew that I would be in deep shit. His eyes darkened and he seemed to try and put distance between Aurora and I. I didn't like that he was trying to ruin our moment.
"Well, I was just inviting Maria to watch a movie with us." Aurora said.
"Well I'm sure that Maria has better things to do right?" Mr. Mills said looking t me. I was terrified of Mr. Mills. I wasn't sure what he would do. It seemed like the only person he listened to was Aurora.
"U-uhm yes-
"Nonsense." Aurora said interrupting me. "Can she come along please?" She said batting her eyelashes at Mr. Mills. For some reason I was glad that she intervene because I so badly wanted to spend time with her.

"Fine."Mr. Mills groaned. I was so excited, but I didn't want to let how I felt on the inside effect how I appeared on the outside. I already knew that Mr. Mills didn't like me because Aurora gave me the attention that he wanted all to himself. The day Aurora came into his life I noticed that he has become a possessive and obsessed man. We started to walk to the theater and things were kind of tense. I tried to get closer to Aurora without Mr.Mills noticing, but it seems he did because his grip would tighten around her occasionally. We all made it into the theater and Aurora ended up sitting in the middle of Mr. Mills and I. Mr. Mills was glaring at me when Aurora would not be looking. I needed to get out of here and take a breather.
"Oh wait we can't watch a movie without popcorn."Aurora said.
"I'll get the popcorn. I said timidly.
"Do you want me to come with?" She said. I wanted to say yes, but I knew that Mr. Mills wouldn't approve.
"No I will be fine." I said as I rushed out of the room. I started walking to the kitchen when one of of the maids stopped me.
"Maria!" Someone called form behind me. I turned around to me met with Gracie another fellow maid.
"What." I said.
"What do you think you are doing." She asked quiet enough so only I could hear her.
"What do you mean?" I asked confusedly.
"You were with Mr. Mills. I told you to stay away from him because he will only bring trouble to you." She responded.
"I know, but Aurora was the one who invited me." I said looking down at my fidgeting fingers as a red tint started to cover my cheeks.

"Maria, there are rumors swarming around that Mr. Mills might fire you and I know how much you need this job. I know how much you like Aurora, but you need to stay away. You know how Mr. Mills is about her." She said as she looked at me through her pitied filled eyes.
"Don't worry I got this. And plus I can't stay away because I have to bring popcorn back." I said.
"Maria-
"They're expecting me so I have to go but really Gracie, thank you for caring." I said interrupting her and walked away making my way to the kitchen. I finally arrived to the kitchen and was met the chef.
"What do you need, love." Patrick said.
"I have to bring popcorn back to Mr. Mills and Aurora." I said.
"Oh I can arrange that." He said.
"No I can just do it. It's not that har-
"Let me. It is my job." He said.
"Okay." I said. After about 5 minutes the popcorn was finally done and I was walking back to the home theater with a fresh batch of popcorn around my arm. I came into the theater walking towards the seat. I noticed that Mr. Mills looked really pissed. He looked like he was ready to kill someone.
"I uh got the popcorn." I said circumspectly.
"Oh my god! You scared me. Don't sneak up on me like that." Aurora said holding her hand to her chest.
"Oh I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to." I said apologetically. When Aurora jumped I noticed that all of Mr. Mill's anger was replaced with immense worry as he looked at Aurora, but his cold exterior returned when he saw that she was okay. I sat next to Aurora as she sat close to me excitedly. Throughout the whole movie, Alex would send daggers my way. I did try to ignore him, but in the inside I knew things weren't looking too good for me.
