《The Uchiha (Itachi Twin Sister// Naruto Fan-fiction)》Chapter 52 [To bid goodbye]

Death. In a world where people died daily, countless people whose biggest fear was none other than death itself. However, a small minority had always welcomed death with open arms. But only psychopaths could ever become one with death itself. And when they came knocking on your door, what were your chances of survival?
Legends said there was once such a person. She was Konoha's most potent weapon. When she attempted to end the world, though she had failed, she had brought many casualties down with her. Monstrous was an understatement.
Itsuko Uchiha was her reincarnation. Itsuko had never understood The Will of Hoshi that her past life had held onto so dearly. She was never entirely in synch with its concept. It was that willpower that brought along greater power than that from a precious bloodline. It was a will that required an understanding of how ugly the world was. What better way to save the world from its miserable state than death?
That's right. The weapon turned into a reaper. The reaper had come so near to eliminating man kind's existence. Fortunately, she was still human. She made mistakes that saved humanity from its extinction. But, decades later, it has been awakened. Was she going to be any different? Only time would tell.
Itsuko had brought Kakashi back into Konoha, knowing he would only be able to rest appropriately then. She no longer sobbed, nor did she hurt. It had grown numb by now. Oddly, she had made it through the village without bumping into the attackers.
She knew the hospital was going to be her next destination. Her twin brother was the only thing that she held onto now. It was the only thing keeping her from going berserk.
Unlike her journey into Konoha, she had now bumped into a variety of enemies. All of them were from different regions and had their reasons for joining this attack. While some knew better to get out of her way, some took up the challenge, which had only ended with their death. Whatever got into her way was quickly eliminated.

She had sighted her Anbus fighting off enemies at the entrance of the hospital. They were already worn out, being the only ones to defend the place. Itsuko had easily eliminated the enemy in place of her Anbus before she made her way inside. Naturally, it was crowded, filled with many who had severe injuries and many on the brink of life and death. She had proceeded swiftly to Itachi's room. She had been there so often within the short period he had been admitted. She knew the place inside and out.
"Code blue!" Strings of medical terms were spilling from the mouth of the nurses as more medical personnel rushed their way into the room. Itsuko couldn't believe it. Everything went in a blur. She could make out the image of a nurse repeatedly performing chest compressions. It was undoubtedly her twin brother lying on the bed. By now, she had lost track of how long she had stood at the entrance. The tight knot in her stomach made her sick. Her head spun, and her vision blurred. Every breath she took choked her. A deafening ring made her head throb. She could no longer tell if it was the machine that rung or if it was all in her head. The nurses had left the room one by one; grim hung on their faces. Then, finally, she saw her lifeless raven-haired twin lying on the white sheets.
At that moment, time seemed to have stopped. The sun had set, and darkness lurked in. Itsuko could feel it now. The will inside her was strong, but she was never contented. She was always angry, dissatisfied, and upset. But beyond that, she was hurt, lonely and broken. For the first time in her life, Itsuko felt aligned with her will and ideals. Losing everything that kept her going in life made her realize that she wasn't much different. Her hatred and anger grew indefinitely now.

With her last bit of consciousness, she had forced herself out of the hospital. If she was going to go on a rampage now, she figured she shouldn't be killing people who were already dying. Or so she thought.
A surge of chakra had overwhelmed her by the time she made it back in the open. An eerie dark aura with silk of gold hung around her. This was more than Kurama's chakra or even her own. It was something else entirely.
It would be long before people next saw the day of light. Time has been stopped, literally. It was as if the world had been fearing for this moment and had gone into hiding as well. It had stopped spinning, literally. From then on out, Itsuko had already lost herself. She slaughtered anyone and everyone. She was unstoppable, too fast for anyone's comprehension, and too aggressive for anyone even to survive. Innocent or guilty, nobody could compare now. Their only fate was death.
While she no longer has a reason to live, she didn't plan to go down alone. The world was going to pay for what they did to her and everyone she loved. And she was going to make sure of it.

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.

Monolith
If you like my work, donations are greatly appreciated! Monolith is a tale of fantasy, which quickly fades into dark fantasy. We are introduced to members of the Aerys family just before they are torn away from each other and tossed into the fray. They will need to endure and survive the many conflicts of this world at war and forge alliances with past enemies to combat the even darker threat ahead. Monolith will feature grim battles against grotesque beasts and tyrannical lesser gods. Heroes, favourites, and foes may be lost in the strife. Join Reid as he struggles to keep his small settlement safe and protects a secret from his family in the mysterious cellar. Follow Hailey on a journey into the woods to discover the magical world. Will Jon and his young cousins follow in the dark footsteps of their family or will they set out on their own path? Author's Notes: My work is often graphic and mature in nature. I only recommend it for the fans who are not faint of heart. This work will contain swears, violence and occasional sexual dialogue. With that fair warning done, I plan to constantly edit previous chapters as I go back to them, so they are all subject to change over time. Most of the events will remain the same but as I get more time to write I'd like to add details that I couldn't add while constrained for time. Thank you for taking the time to check out Monolith! Really appreciate it. Hope you enjoy it and look forward to the upcoming events!
