never did anything for myself.
If I wanted a latte, people will thrust multitudes of flavors in-front of my face. If I said I needed to go to the bathroom, two of my female make-up artists will go with me, toiletries in hand. In short I was spoiled. And I didn't like that.
Nor that I didn't like that I was tucking under a roundhouse kick by a fat giant.
One thing's for sure he was definitely red. A bright red that I might have mistook him for a red jelly bean. But his smell didn't exactly remind you of the candy. He was crazy tall-almost 7-feet tall with almost the same width to boot. He was wearing a crisp white buttoned dress shirt and beige slacks in contrast to his red skin. Even if both of them were over-sized, the buttons were pulled to the extreme as the seams of the slacks were tearing apart a bit. You didn't need a sensitive nose so you could deduce that he used way too much cologne to cover up his stench. Which made his actual stench a whole lot worse.
I sidestepped as he swung his fist at the ground. I shuddered when I felt the ground quake under it. It was almost the size of two heads.
"What exactly are you?" I blurted out without realizing. His fist lifted from the crater he made. He then smacked me with the back of his hand, sending me crashing into the fountain.
"Great strategy." I heard the fox say. "Really. It is."
"Can I live without the sarcasm please?" I grunted as I lifted myself from the rubble. Steam produced off of me because I was still on fire. "Do you know anything about this guy?"
Inside my head I can hear growling. "He's an oni. A Japanese-demon that is considered evil... Says Wikipedia." She said with distaste. "In reality they are much more dangerous, more vicious, and more smellier than you could have ever read in the stub."

"Should I even need to know about the smell?" I asked her. The ground shook again. The oni, as she calls it, was coming at me. I tightened my fists as I got into a fighting stance. Sniffing the air, I can tell he was close. Closer and...
Thwack!
I blinked as the arrow was protruding from the pudgy neck of the oni. He blinked as well and picked the arrow clean out of the wound, not even wincing when sand was pouring out of it. He was only a few steps away from me when the arrow was nicked. I turned to the left and saw the little dude holding a bow.
The oni let out a huge roar and ran towards the sports twins, every step he was making caused a mini earthquake. The boy seemed unfazed, kinda like that guy in the anime with the titans, and unsheathed his sword that made me look away due to the sun glinting at the blade. As soon as the oni was a few strides from the guy, he rolled to the side and slashed his sword at the oni's knee. Then Martha appeared out of nowhere and stabbed him in the back. The oni let out a huge roar, staggering, then plummeting down to the ground, now motionless.
"There's no way that can be easy." I muttered to myself.
"And you're right." I heard the fox said. My two feet ran on their own and skid to a halt near the oni.
Yeah, he was still breathing.
"Hey, Levi. Give me your sword." I said to the short guy.
"Who said you could get my sword?" He said, eyeing me closely. Huh, he kinda acts like him too.
"Just give me the dang sword!" Without a reply, I grabbed the sword out of his hands and made to stab the oni. But I didn't.

Instead, I got a fistful of red as I was sent flying into the air, then falling onto a building. I stood up but gasped when I felt my bones crack and something much worse. I looked down and the sight almost made me hurl. The building's rebars were stabbed through my stomach area.
"Don't you dare faint." I heard the fox yell. "When I'm still inside you, your immune system and physical resistance are enhanced much. It'll heal overtime. Now stop overeacting and get up!" I groaned and slowly removed myself from the rebars. It was even worse when I heard a disgusting schluk! and more cracking of bones.
Taking in a sharp breath, I stiffly stood up and moved my limbs, ignoring the cracking. Once I feel at ease I looked down. The wound was spilling blood but it was slowly closing up.
'That's good at least.' I thought.
"LUCAS!!!"
I whipped my head to the voice's direction. Martha had her ankle trapped on a twisted bus stop sign that had been bent so that she can't escape. Ahead of her, the boy, named now known as Lucas, was driving the oni away by waving his sword helplessly. Even if he did look like a fit warrior, he was in no way fit to fight a monster that size. So, being the most fit out of the three, I sprinted towards the oni and raked my claws across his side.
'Wait, claws?'
Sure enough when I looked down, my nails were elongated into sharp-looking claws. Now that's one reason why I should cut my nails.
"Freakin' demigods..." I heard the oni groan in a heavy Boston accent. "I don't have time for these Roman demigods. I need the-" I cut him short with my elongated claws. I hated villain monologues anyway. "You freakin' half-borns!!!" He roared as two horns curled from his head and rammed into me.
Now, I'm no matador, but from what I can remember, matadors don't take the bulls' horns and let them be dragged and tossed around. But hey, first try for everyone right?
Digging my heels under the pavement, I grasped the horns as if my life depended on it (which, in reality, it is). The oni bellowed as he skid his giant feet on the ground, wanting me to be crushed by the immense strength. He got his wish when the back of my feet hit some rubble, sending me crushing under the weight of the oni.
"I've wasted half of my time dealing with you and getting that damned picture! Shelly couldn't even do-" He hissed when my blue flames licked his skin.
"You are the reason why Yomi is going crazy. You are the reason why my bocchan will have my head!" He added more weight, making my back crack the pavement below. "I hate you... I frickin' HATE YOU!!!"
Now, I've had my share of hate. Trolls in the Internet, haters, fallacies about me, all you could think of. I classified those as 'I-literally-don't-give-a-hoot-about-them' hate. The hate that this Boston-born oni is giving me is what I called 'I-literally-cannot-stand-this' hate. No pun intended.
Using all the strength I have, I pushed the oni off of me, flames getting stronger and wilder. My heart was pounding against my ears as my vision was clouded with blue flames.
And that's how I became a human barbecue. The end.
