《Breathe Princess (Daryl Dixon Love Story)》Chapter Thirty Five

''What do you want from me?'' I whispered whimpering wrapping my arms around legs as i sat down in the bottom bunk bed watching him standing in the corner a weak smile plastered on his face.
He shook his head stepping a bit closer making me back up against the wall ''Please leave''
''I can't'' I froze his voice ringing through my ears though his lips weren't moving.
''Why?'' I asked firmly tugging my loose damp strand behind my ear.
''Promises Annora, he's gone. I can love you now'' My heart start aching as he mentioned Daryl remembering what about yesterday, i can't explain how painful it was to hear that news. To be kept up all night, hoping i would wake up and finding him laying beside me like this was all just a twisted dream but nothing...I woke up with an empty space taking a deep sniff of Daryl's musky smell that was on the pillow i held closely to my chest.
''You're not even here'' My voice started cracking as i spoke with every word.
''I can't but you can'' He looked at me smiling nodding his head to the side.
I stared at him not breaking eye contact. Was this it? Was this the final moment? My happy moment? To be with Jacob? Forget everything that happened with Daryl from the start of this journey? Was i ready to give up on a person i have come to unconditionally start to love?
''No''
He stared at me his face showed no expression, he walked over to me and stood there staring.
''Leave Jacob'' I said closing my eyes shut. I opened up my eyes as i saw him still standing there fiddling with the necklace he had on. I touched my necklace my heart racing as he continued to fiddle with it a smile on his face.

I let go of the necklace backing away even more closing my eyes again hoping he would just go away. My eye fluttered open as i saw him sitting on the floor fiddling with the necklace ''Stop''
I glared as he twirled the necklace between his finger. My thoughts went back to Daryl as he said his name over and over again but like i said his lips weren't moving. My eyes harden as he bit his lips showing me the necklace ''Leave! Just Leave!''
''Annora!'' I turned around breathing heavily, my eyes softened as i looked at Beth. I took a look around the room finding nothing, he was gone.
''Are you okay?'' She said making me sigh and nod. I made sure my gun and knife were with me in my holster before pushing past Beth and walking out.
''The tombs outside the boiler room are overrun again'' Glenn suddenly walked in all blooded out as soon as i stepped out.
''That whole section had been cleared'' I spoke up crossing my arms over my chest.
''It's a steady stream of walkers'' Carl breathed standing beside me. I wrapped my arm around his should as he leaned on to me.
''You alright?'' I checked up on him making sure he was alright, we didn't want to be loosing anyone right now. We had already lost enough of people. Since Rick is away doing whatever he was doing, i had to make sure Carl was fine and alive.
''Yeah are you?'' He questioned making me shiver from the look he was giving me. I knew what he meant, Daryl. I was holding up okay, might seem like it but i don't want anyone worrying about me even if they all were. Hershel and Beth have been checking up on me constantly last night making sure i had the stuff i needed to have and making sure i won't loose it like Rick did.

''We're wasting time, the Governor is supposedly on the way and we're stuck in here with walkers'' Hershel pointed out and started packing what looks like supplies.
'''For the last time, running is not an option'' Glenn said reminding them of the conversation they had a couple of hours ago, i wasn't a part of that conversation but i caught up on a couple of sentences.
''Glenn, if the tombs have filled up again, it may just be a matter of time before they push in here'' Carol commented frowning as she looked at him with a good point.
''Or until some fence gives way''
''What if one of them herds is passing through? Or settled? Can't handle that with just the few of us'' I sighed leaning against the wall making eye contact with Glenn as he tried to figure out what to do.
''All right, we need umm we just need to scout the far side of the prison'' He planned making me nod at him thanking god we have someone that's in control.
''You're going out there?'' Hershel concernedly asked.
''Take a car and make it quick''
''I'll drive'' Axel offered making Glenn shut him off.
''No you stay here. Help with the fortifications. I'll take Maggie''
I laid down staring at the wall Daryl's scent was all i could smell. I sighed shoving my face into the pillow. Why is this happening? Everything was going so perfect then all of a sudden everything turned out to the worse. He found Merle, which is great. But he couldn't come back because of Merle. Didn't he think of me back here? That's the question i keep asking myself. He probably didn't. I get Merle's family, he's blood but it just hurts knowing after all that happened between us; he didn't even care.
I jumped up as i heard a shot gun worried that something might of happened or someone might of got hurt, i grabbed my gun from the table running outside as fast as i could. I slammed the door open spotting Carl and Beth running hiding behind the bench.
''Fuck'' I mumbled hiding behind the wall as bullets were fired at me. I loaded my gun my heart racing as we started shooting back at them.
I took a glance from behind the wall as i spotted a man i'm guessing he's the famous 'Governor' that had one eye covered shooting at us ''Cant believe this is happening''
Everything went silent after that. I took a peak my eyes widening as i was this truck speeding up and go through our fences. What happened after i wasn't expecting; the truck's door opened and walkers started to pour out. This women steps out ran outside and started shooting, i got my gun out aiming it on her leg, i hoped the bullet will go through it like i wanted it to be but it didn't. like i said ; i'm not the best shooter. The cars drove off and the was my que to go out there.
I ran, knife in my hand plugging it in the walkers skull. I kicked one of the in the stomach shooting it in its brain. I heard Rick's scream of struggle making me turn around.
I cried out as he go attacked by two walkers, i stopped running towards him as i saw an arrow go into the walkers head making me freeze. My eyes glimpsed in tears as we both made eye contact.
''Daryl?''
