It was 4 pm and the classes ended but the downpour suddenly started. The gloomy sky began rumbling. Jungkook regretted not bringing his umbrella with him. The rain came so suddenly and he didn't listen to his mother earlier when she told him that it would start raining soon.
The students were gone one by one with their umbrellas but Jungkook was still standing out of the old building sighing.
"Jungkook?" Hoseok called out, holding on his newly opened umbrella. "You didn't bring your umbrella?" Jungkook nodded.
"Oh, then wanna join me instead?" Hoseok offered and Jungkook was about to consider but when he saw Taehyung and Namjoon together with Seokjin and sleepy Yoongi, he scoffed.
"I'm fine...I'll just wait for the rain to stop." He said and looked away.
Taehyung and Namjoon knew that it was their doing that's why Jungkook was mad. He wasn't even talking to them even in class even though they tried approaching him. Hoseok, Seokjin, and Yoongi somehow sensed the tension between the three.
"But it might take a while for the rain to stop Jungkook." Taehyung said with a little worry in his voice.
"I can manage." Jungkook spat, still not sparing a glance.
"He's still mad." Namjoon whispered to Taehyung.
"It's your fault I could see it. What did you guys even do?" Seokjin asked whilst glaring at the two. Namjoon scratched the back of his head and looked down.
"We somehow said some mean things to the creep--I mean to Jimin." Namjoon admitted and felt embarrassed. Jin was curious as to why Jungkook would be that sensitive over that. He wasn't even the one to receive the mean comment.
"We laughed too... when the boy got bullied earlier. Jungkook got mad and asked us if it's funny. But I swear I tried to apologize but he's not even listening! He's ignoring us." Taehyung pouted but he knew it was his fault too.

Jin sighed as he shook his head. "Next time be careful with your words okay? Jungkook must be sensitive at things like that."
"Yeah, and you could tell that he's a little stubborn too." Yoongi interrupted, looking sleepy but sparing glances at Jungkook who is still not accepting Hoseok's kind offer. Hoseok gave up a few minutes later because Jungkook kept saying no.
They soon left with their umbrellas leaving Jungkook with the very few students who also didn't have an umbrella that day. Minutes had passed but the rain just grew stronger. Jungkook was cursing himself for not listening to his mother so he just accepted his faith and began running in the rain with his bag over his head.
He was soaked but it's not like he could stop now. His uniform and bag were already wet so he just ran. His footsteps are tapping on the water at the street and that's when he suddenly feels someone's presence behind him. This time, he shrugged the idea thinking that maybe it was just his imagination working on him again like last time.
Jungkook kept on running but the tapping of footsteps on the water from his back wasn't stopping. He doesn't want to be paranoid but he can't help but do it again. He began to panic but this time he didn't scurry away like some little girl. He's a man and he shouldn't be scared of such things.
He hurriedly halted and when he looked back, a body crashed on his chest making them both fall on the wet street. It took Jungkook a while for him to realize that someone was on top of him. The raindrops aren't helping either as it only made his vision blurry. Jungkook felt the body move up but he tripped on something and fell on top of Jungkook again once again and it made the taller grunt.

"S-Sorry." Jungkook immediately knew the owner of the voice.
"Jimin?" Jimin was surprised, his eyes widened in shock. He tried to move again so he could get up from the latter once more but he once again tripped over his now wet cloak and stumbled but this time, Jungkook grip on his waist in annoyance making Jimin blush form the sudden contact.
"Stop please, you're hurting me by doing that." Jungkook grunts in a little pain because of Jimin's body's impact whenever the shorter would fall on him.
The wind suddenly blew hard making the hood of Jimin's cloak to slide down revealing his face. Jimin was shocked himself and he tried to get his hood back up but when he looked at Jungkook.
The boy was already staring at him.
His face... it can't be seen.
No... I-It can't be...

But when an object of great and malevolent power promises to make good on all the promises the mages broke to him Mar is thrust into the world of magic. Mar will find that fate had something more than a life confined to the library planned for him after all. Authors Notes: I consider this to be a comming-of-age Sword and Sorcery story based mostly on the style of classic western fantasies. So if that's your thing then I encourage you to take a peek. Something I want to mention though is that the main character starts of pretty wimpy, and that might not be your thing. That being said, if you stick with him he's got a long way to grow. Also, while this version of the story is meant to be fully readable, more dicerning readers may want to wait until I move out of rough draft phase. There may be some inconsistancies with character and plot while I am still in the rough draft phase. I'm sorry for this, but this is my first web novel and from what I've read the best way to get a good novel out is to write write write, and then edit ruthlessly after you're finished with the book, so that's the plan I'm going to follow. Again, this is a rough draft. Everything you are reading is subject to change, including the name, title, and cover photo. This may no longer be the case once I've decided I know where this fiction is going and I have a reasonable understanding of the characters and their behavior. You're reading what comes off my keyboard as it's made, with very limited editing. There will be mistakes in the text. I do a quick spell check to take out the worst of the errors, but there will be some I miss. You can point them out in the comments if they are particularly confusing or glaring and I will try to fix them, however I am not overly concerned about minor errors as this is not the final draft by any means.
