《♛The Wallflower♛ (Jikook/Kookmin) [[COMPLETED]]》♛Chptr. 17: Within a closed room♛

Jungkook and Jimin are now in the same room, lying beside each other but not literally too close to each other. Whilst Jungkook is on his bed, Jimin is on the floor with thick blankets and covers for his first sleepover.
Jungkook did not like the idea at all too when he first heard his mom asked Jimin. Since it is also his first time having someone to sleep over in his room. He hated the idea and if you would ask why, he just prefers being alone and having his private life to himself.
"Look I know that you're uncomfortable and stuff but..." Jungkook halted, he doesn't even know if he should continue with what he's about to say. But he said it anyways. "...I don't think you should do that in that extent. I mean, you could do whatever you want but don't you feel more uncomfortable with that blanket over your body?" He continued with a questioning tone in his voice.
Jungkook isn't really the type to be nosy about things but it's just Jimin...
"I-I'm sorry..." Jimin mumbled under the blanket and soon gets his feet out. Jungkook chuckled when he saw in his peripheral vision what Jimin just did.
"I didn't mean your feet Jimin... I meant your whole body." Jungkook pointed out whilst shaking his head. He's just worried that Jimin might suffocate from under that cover since the younger is literally covering his whole self with the blanket like he's that dead body from the morgue Jungkook had seen in movies.
Jimin slowly peeked through the blanket but he hurriedly slipped his head inside again when he saw that Jungkook is sternly looking down at him from the bed. He held his heart in shock, Jungkook almost saw his hideous face!
Jungkook narrowed his eyes on the younger when he saw his reaction. Why does he do that all the time? He asked himself with a blank expression on his face.

Jungkook positioned himself as he was now laying on his side with his palm supporting his head and elbow on the bed. He was looking down on Jimin still with a questioning look. He wants to ask the younger lots of questions and he decided to do it today.
Might as well spend time with him to get to know him better. Not like I want to know more about him it's just...I'm curious. He explained to himself.
"Jimin could I ask you a question?" He asked with a calm voice, almost in a monotone.
"W-Why?" Jimin replied from under the blanket, not sure what Jungkook wants to know about him. He's just an unimportant boy who has lots of flaws and there's nothing he could share really. That's why he's not sure if that would be a good idea.
"Could you at least remove your blanket so I could see your face-"
"NO!...I-I can't do that, I'm s-sorry." Jimin didn't let him finish as he blurted that out. Jungkook flinched but he sighed after, accepting that Jimin has that certain habit of getting terrified if it's about showing his face or even just revealing some skin on him.
"Fine, I won't force so calm down." He rolled his eyes. "So? You still didn't answer my question."
Jimin bit his lower lip, his heartbeats increasing because of how scared he is of what Jungkook could ask him all of a sudden. He's been thinking hard and he's been feeling weird because somehow...he is considering opening himself to this certain boy in front of him.
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked-"
"W-What is it?" The younger mumbled, almost in a whisper but Jungkook managed to hear it. "What do you wanna...know about m-me?"
Jungkook smiled. He was about to face the ceiling earlier so he gets back to his position of laying on his side. "Okay so umm... are you always like this?"

Jimin gripped on his blanket from under. He knew what Jungkook meant. The older was now talking about his weirdness, why he's a freak or why he was so different from the others and why is he such a loser or-
"Are you always shy around people?" Jimin's train of thoughts stopped when Jungkook continued, he wasn't expecting that Jungkook meant it that way. Jimin bit his lower lip once more.
"N-Not really...I wasn't...like this at all before." Jimin said with a hint of sadness in his voice, remembering some past events he doesn't want to recall anymore.
Jungkook heard the change in his tone of voice so he cleared his throat and mentally face palmed. He did not intend to ask something sensitive to the younger.
"Forget that...anyways, why do you always stutter? Not like I have a problem with that but I'm just curious."
"When I f-feel nervous and shy...I always find myself stuttering." Jungkook nodded in understanding.
"I'm sorry, do I always make you uneasy? I mean, I hear you stutter every time you're around me." Jimin shook his head even though Jungkook can't see it at all.
"I-It's not like that! I'm just...naturally this way and, and I haven't really talked to someone for a very long time...that's why..." Jungkook smiled for another time.
"I'm glad I didn't make you feel that way. What about your cloak then? Why do you always wear that?" You're even wearing it while sleeping. Jungkook continued in his head.
It was another punch to Jimin. He doesn't want to answer that question, afraid of Jungkook's judgments if he would say about the reason.
"I'm sorry, is that another sensitive question? You don't have to answer that if you don't want to." This time, Jimin didn't say anything. He just kept silent. Jungkook soon lied down on his bed again, facing the ceiling with contentment. And it seems that he's not that scared of Jimin anymore.
"What about you, J-Jungkook-hyung?" Jungkook was taken aback when the younger suddenly speaks.
"What about me?"
"Why did you transfer here?...I-I have never seen you before." Jungkook's emotion slowly faltered.
"My mom's work requires her to travel a lot so she drags me everywhere she goes. I always transfer from school after school. I don't even know how long I'll last here, it's just... complicated." Jimin doesn't understand why he suddenly felt sad by hearing that.
"You can't... stay here?"
"I don't know...it depends on my Mom's next workplace." The atmosphere was now filled in silence. It felt heavy like some weird spaceship just fell between the two of them. Both relaxed but still anxious.
One found the heart of asking whilst the other one found the courage of even asking one. Although both weren't contented of what they got from it, one was relieved and thankful whilst the other one somehow feels regretful of knowing that the other one could soon disappear without a warning. Jimin was that regretful one. He regretted even asking that one question.
I should've asked how long he could stay. If only Jimin knew... he would change his question, or maybe ask more.
Jungkook dimmed the light from the lamp on his side table, finding comfort in his blanket over his comfy bed.
"Goodnight Jimin..." He uttered before he closed his eyes to sleep.
Jimin finally removed the blanket that was covering his face, finally able to breathe properly.
"Goodnight... Jungkook-hyung." He said with a smile even though Jungkook didn't hear it now that he's asleep.

Starchild
“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment.
