《Never in a Million Years ✔️》54- Never You

"Belle! The guys are all here c'mon! We're leaving in a bit!" Beck calls me down from my room but I don't move. It's New Years Eve and I'm doing Bio work. I had time anyway, I knew they were going to pregame before going to Tyler's house.
"I'll be down in a bit!" I yell back to him. My parents said we could have our friends over tonight while they went over to the Kazers. We weren't staying though, New Years was a Powell night.
"Hey, c'mon, it's New Years Eve, you still have a week to do all that" Arrex says softly as he comes in my room
"Yeah I know, I just wanted to get some stuff done" I look up at him with tired eyes. I'd been stressed about the Caleb thing for days, I haven't even talked to him yet. I've been really just hiding out in my room for the passed week or so.
"Hey are you okay? You've been acting weird, we've all noticed it"
"Yeah, I'm just-"
"Don't say stressed, it's winter break, you can come up with a better lie than that" my brother grins as he hops on my bed "You know you can talk to me right?"
"When did you get all sensitive?" I grin at him. Arrex has alway been the, well to put it simply, the hardass brother. He's the one you go to when you want to have fun or need someone's ass kicked, he's not the one I'd usually go to when I just needed to talk to someone.
"Very funny" he playfully glares at me "But seriously, I know I'm a dick sometimes but I love you"
"I know A" I grin at him "I'm good, I promise"
"Alright," he smiles as he gets off my bed "I expect you downstairs in twenty minutes"
"Yes dad" I roll my eyes at him
He leaves with a very dramatic scoff, leaving me in my quiet room. However, it doesn't last long as both Em and Amy barge in my room.
"Belle! New Years Eve pre-party is going on downstairs and you're in here studying" Em groans, throwing a hand to her forehead dramatically.

"I already heard it from A" I glance up at her, the two are like the same person.
"You gotta get ready!" Em once again scolds me
"To go to my own living room and then T's house?" I question slowly
"Yes! A living room that is now full of hot guys, one of which you will kiss at midnight. You gotta look hot, besides, Ty's party is formal," she states dead serious, once again as I watch Amy behind her, trying not to laugh her ass off.
"You really are the most dramatic person I've met"
"Caleb's downstairs" Amy comments
"I know"
They both knew about our situation and awkwardness. They were both on Jordan's side with this, I however wasn't so convinced. Obviously I knew what I should do, actually doing it though, that's the hard part.
"You have to face him at some point" Amy reasons "Regardless of everything that's happened he's still one of your best friends"
"I'm surprised you haven't jumped onto that dick yet" Em calls out form my closet "You guys have been flirty since forever"
"Can you sew her mouth shut?" I grin at Amy
"Believe me, if I could I would"
"Hey I'm just being honest" Em grins walking out of my closet "You have nothing to wear, so I brought you this" she says holding up a rosé tulle dress
"Em-"
"Wait no this is Amy's" she cuts me off, throwing the dress at Amy before taking out a silky white thin strapped top with lace lining its v-neck cut, paired with a rosé sequined skirt "this is what you're wearing, the top will make your boobs pop and the skirt will make your ass look better than it already does" it was actually pretty cute
"Fine" I throw my book aside to put it on, she was lucky this was considered a more formal party. The one party a year that's considered more formal.
"Okay, now your hair looks good, got I hate you" she glares at me, more specifically my hair
"You lay around all day and your hair look perfect," Amy laughs "You suck"
"I'm sorry" I grin at them

Em just rolls her eyes at me before taking her makeup bag out, along with all of her brushes, it had become a ritual at this point.
"Okay, mascara, eyeliner, and this lipstick, thats it along with some concealer" she states, I don't argue either, there was no point.
Twenty minutes later the three of us are walking downstairs, to all the boys who looked very nice themselves with styled hair and dress shirts.
"I'm gonna find Beck" Amy says before walking through the groups of boys
"I'm gonna go find alcohol" Em grins before sauntering away, leaving me alone at the bottom of my staircase.
"Wow look at you" I turn to see my best friend grinning at me "You put a bra on today!" Jordan teases
"I'm gonna punch you" I grin at him. Since we've talked three days ago, he still hasn't talked to Lexi, and was just as stressed as I was.
"You look good," I grin at him "not like a fuckin hobo"
"Thanks Belle, really appreciate that" he laughs "C'mon, all the guys are out back"
I follow him through the small crowd in our house to our backyard, where our usual group has resided along with Travis and Jamie, missing only Tyler who was still probably setting everything up for his party tonight. When that boy threw a party. He THREW A PARTY, tonight though was probably going to be a more tame one though considering it wasn't nearly as many people. Only the whole football team, cheerleading squad, some of the band, and then some friends. Believe it or not. That was tame. Tyler in a sense was a baby Nico.
Wes whistles as we approach while, my brothers all roll their eyes. I avoid Caleb's eyes all together, taking a seat between Jordan and Travis. I hear Jordan snort and catch a glimpse of Caleb who looks like he's about to punch Travis.
"So Belle, which lucky guy will you be kissing at midnight?" Travis smirks at me, of course he starts on this.
"Uh no one tonight bud" I laugh, I couldn't kiss the one I wanted to in front of my brothers, so it wouldn't be anyone.
"Hmm yeah we'll see" he laughs at me
"Travis I swear to god, I'll kill you" Beck growls from across us
"Know what?" Travis smirks, looking between Beck and I "BECK YOUR SISTERS HOT, THERE I SAID IT" he stands up saying this, just as Beck starts to get up.
He bolts away, into the house, Beck following close behind until a loud "OW" is heard and both of them return, grinning. Travis was having the time of his life.
"Worth it" Travis laughs and I cover my now beet red face.
"Okay guys, lets go over to Ty's, it's eight" Ace states, looking down at his new watch that he'd gotten for Christmas. They'd already established that Amy, Jordan, Ace and I were driving to his house tonight, considering we were the only four here that hadn't pre-gamed.
I take Arrex's keys from him, as he walks away with the group. I stay where I am for a minute, picking up some of the beer cans that had fallen on the ground. When I stand back up from my previous squatting position, I notice Caleb still there, seated across from me.
"Oh sorry, were you done with that?" I questions sincerely, still holding one of the cans
He just grins his adorable grin before looking at me with amusement in his eyes "You've been avoiding me Princess"
"I've been busy Co" I huff, looking away from him
"Yeah okay" he says, obviously not believing me "You ready to go?"
"Uh- yeah let's go" I huff looking back up to him, he was already staring at me though, taking a second or two before glancing back up at my eyes
The two of us, walk side by side through my house, not speaking, but every so often brushing hands, it almost felt like he was doing it on purpose. I looked up at him after the third time, he doesn't look, down though, just straight ahead with a grin on his face.
"I know you're messing with me"
"Never you Belle" he states once more before walking out the door leaving me in the doorway annoyed, confused and slightly mad at myself.
"Oh what the fuck?"

Glass Cannon
Mortal Coil is the best VRMMO in the market with millions of people playing it! In this game, two best friends made a bet with each other. Whoever becomes the #1 ranked would win. Such a simple bet, but to them, it was like a declaration of war. Being two of the most stubborn individuals on the planet that saw loss as a personal offense, they made this last bet before cutting off their friendship due to some... complicated matters(Don't worry It'll get explained in the book). The problem was, that one was super talented at the game, and the other was super shit. This story revolves around that player. No, not the talented one, the shit one. Hated by many for his rather "uncouth" strategies (one of which included hitting a guy in the back of the head with a wooden board, stealing all his stuff and leaving him stark naked in the middle of the woods), his name is Jack. Oh, and did I mention he's a min-Maxed for health which drives people insane? Unfortunately, as luck would have it, he stumbles upon the worst possible hidden class for him. Warrior of Glass. A class with insanely high attack power... and insanely low HP. He's also given a quest to retrieve a sword in the middle of the Ashen Forest (lovingly nicknamed "Suicide Woods" by the players) and another quest to kill 7 insanely powerful demon lords that roam the lands so he can fulfill his predecessor's legacy. Now, armed only with a veeery high damage output, an unbendable will of steel and his almost nonexistent sense of guilt (emphasis on almost), he still aims to become the #1 player. This time, with some serious handicaps.
