East of Kattegat, a small kingdom, called Eporijria (e-por-re-a), is. A ruthless king is placed on the throne. This king is named is Ulvar. King Ulvar does whatever it takes to get what he wants and his people are too scared to fight back.. Even though he is a cruel man, he was still able to find love. He married a farmers daughter and gave her everything she could desire.

He forgot about the gods and placed this women above them. Because of this, the gods decided to punish Ulvar and all his children. First, his wife would never be able to conceive a son, second, their daughters would all have a disability that will get them killed one day. and lastly, one daughter, who looks nothing like the rest, will never be able to love, unless she gave up what her passion to fight. If she is not able to love by the time of her 12th birthday, she will cause chaos that effects everyone.

After hearing this news, Ulvar was furious because he could not believe someone would tell a tale that would ruin his life. So Ulvar and wife conceived many children, all being girls. The first too were twins( Nalica and Alca), Cerico, Zelfrie, Sarafina, and another pair of twins (Ashletoe and Lizeltoe). All girls with pure blonde hair like their mother, except for Alca whose hair is a dark brown. At first, Ulvar was shook because the prophecy is true. But instead, he took it as a sign. Because he could not have son, he would train her to be the son he never had.

Years past and Alca,12 years old, with long braided brown hair and blue eyes, is a fierce shieldmaiden. Many people feared her and she feared nothing.
