《Vikings, Mini Drabbles》Ivar: A forced marriage
Advertisement
You hated this more than anything in the world, being forced to do something. You were a strong independent woman and yet somebody else set the rules for you, forcing to marry somebody. It wasn't really the person making you so cold and distant, although Ivar pretty good know how to expand that but it was just that you were married and you hated that capturing feeling in your chest, bound to Kattegat biggest fear, Ivar the Boneless. 'Y/n, give me my axe.' He pointed from where he sat to his axe.
'Take it yourself.' You simply answered, not looking away from your own hair you were braiding. He grunted angry, giving you a poisoned look before getting it himself.
'I gonna pray that I'm gonna die on that raid rather than sitting here with you.' He hissed. You turned on your seat, fake smiling. 'Good.' And he crawled out for his raid.
It took him a couple of days to come back but when he did you were for the first time really concerned. 'You are still alive I see.' He said as soon as he crawled in.
'You are wounded.'
'I wanted to get rid of this marriage so badly that,' He groaned in pain and you helped him onto the bed.
'I didn't mean it like that.' You said, rushing for water and some ointment you had lying around to ease his pain. When you got back to the bed he was trying to get his layers of clothing out. You looked at his wounds, which were pretty nasty. 'Let me take care of you.' You whispered while sitting down aside him, pushing a cloth into the water.
'And now all the sudden you care?' He asked angry. You didn't looked up in his eyes, you just looked to his wounds, softly placing the cloth on it. He hissed under the cold and you looked to him, a little ashamed of your own behavior.

'I don't hate you, I just,' you felt silent, stroking the blood from his chest before putting the cloth back in the water. 'I hate that I was forced to marry, that I'm caged in this commitment.' You pointed to the distant between the both of you before getting back to his wounds. He was completely silent for a moment and you didn't knew if that was a good or a bad sign.
'Do I cage you?' He asked. You opened your mouth to say something but didn't, you just shook your head as an answer. 'So, where are you making so much drama about?'
'I just need to get used to this.' You answered him.
'And I not? I have a wife that hates me and two legs that don't work. What is your excuse?' He tilted his head and you signed, giving him a soft smile.
'I don't have any.' You muttered, looking over his chest for other wounds.
'Can I kiss you now?' He asked, leaning in on you. You looked at his face, suppressing a smile when he got closer. 'I'm gonna kiss you.' He agreed with himself, placing his lips on yours, taking you with him so you lied with your back on the bed. You opened your lips and he eagerly started exploring your mouth. But if felt good, you stroke his braids, resting your hand on his shoulder, forgetting his wound. He groaned against your lips and pulled back. You placed your teeth in your lip, hiding a smile. 'Can we finish this up when I have rested?' He asked practical, you smiled.
'Sure.'

Dungeons Are Bad Business
Vee Vales has been kicked out of his home and directed to make his own way in the world. Along with his friend Alforde Armorsoul, Vee travels to the city of Oar's Crest. Once a prosperous and well-to-do city, Oar's Crest has fallen into depression and disrepair. After finding a strange stone that takes up residence in a tattered top hat and introduces itself as Reginald, Vee and Alforde decide to open a dungeon in Oar's Crest to revitalize the city and, more importantly, make some fleurs. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Author's Note: Dungeons are Bad Business (DABB) is a slow burn slice-of-life dungeon core litRPG citybuilder that's focused on the day to day experience of running a dungeon. There will be some action, but it won't be the focus of the story and Vee and his friends will usually overcome their problems with their minds and their pocketbooks instead of their weapons. Since I'm participating in the writeathon, I will probably be uploading chapters almost daily for the duration of the event. Thanks for reading!
