《Vikings, Mini Drabbles》Hvitserk: A hug that changes everything

It was a long known fact, that young girls like you fell for the sons of Ragnar, the one more than the other. You were the introvert who never showed such affection, yet you seem to attract all of them. Not for the obvious reason ... why would they. You were just the daughter of a slave, you had nothing to offer and nothing to say. Yet it was often that you found yourself in their company, even when you said nothing half the time. Maybe it was just that, your listening ear, you kind advice. You couldn't resist a smile when one of them left you but only with Hvitserk you felt something turn inside your stomach, something light, like a feather, whispering that you loved his joyful manors but that you never would get a man like him.
You were filling a bath when you heard that heating discussion between brothers. You hardly looked up, knowing nothing of that was your business. Yet you felt a certain concern when you heard that high pitched treat of the youngest one followed my an angry blurt of words you knew came from Hvitserk. This was the hardest you heard them fight and it didn't took long before Ivar crawled out of the room, not giving you a glare. You looked for just a moment over you shoulder, following his body out. 'You heard all of that?' You startled, looking back to Hvitserk who was standing in the doorway, more serious than normally. 'No.' You muttered with a little hesitation. 'Don't lie Y/n, it's one thing I love about you, your honesty.' That were some words you never heard before, causing you to gaze at him with you mouth hanging half open. He frowned his eyebrows and you rushed back to the fire for hot water. 'Sorry, I didn't meant to overhear that.' You muttered, giving him a fast nervous smile. When you looked back into the fire you couldn't ignore the steps closing in on you, your body tensed the moment he laid his hands on your shoulders. 'My brother doesn't share the same eye in business as we do, he wants to do things different and it's just frustrating that he always wants to be right.' Hvitserk whispered, gazing into the fire, dreamy. Your body relaxed a little, giving him a quick look over your shoulder. 'Can't you just mix the ideas together?' It was just a stupid thought but Hvitserk nodded, hands sliding from your shoulders as he leaned against the wall. 'Maybe.' He reacted. You grabbed the hot water and walked back to the bath, filling it to realize that it was full enough and you didn't had to be here anymore.

Sneaking out was never your best course so you just stood their, scraping your throat. 'Anything else you need?' You asked him polite. He looked up from the bath. 'I need a hug.' He answered. You body tensed yet again while you just looked at him. 'I can,' 'Why is it so hard to believe that I maybe like you.' He interrupted you.He kicked you right out of the field with that. 'I'm nobody.' You whispered, still looking at him confused. 'You are so much more, you're kind, gentle, always listening and giving good advice.' He walked back over to you and you bite your lip. 'Can I steal a hug and some of your time?' Now it was his time to sound polite and a shy smile came up. 'Fine.' You whispered, hesitating in the moment. Hvitserk didn't, he wrapped his arms around you in what was probably the best hug in your life. It was warm and safe and felt so good. You felt his head rest against a part of your head and you wished this could take forever. His lips lowered, pressing a kiss against your temple before he pulled back and kindly smiled. 'Thank you.' He whispered and you couldn't do a damn thing other than looking. His fingers stroke under your chin and you felt the urge to close your eyes. 'You have some time left?' He asked gentle. You nodded and a charming smile came on his lips and you knew you were lost ... tangled in that light feeling again.

Glass Cannon
Mortal Coil is the best VRMMO in the market with millions of people playing it! In this game, two best friends made a bet with each other. Whoever becomes the #1 ranked would win. Such a simple bet, but to them, it was like a declaration of war. Being two of the most stubborn individuals on the planet that saw loss as a personal offense, they made this last bet before cutting off their friendship due to some... complicated matters(Don't worry It'll get explained in the book). The problem was, that one was super talented at the game, and the other was super shit. This story revolves around that player. No, not the talented one, the shit one. Hated by many for his rather "uncouth" strategies (one of which included hitting a guy in the back of the head with a wooden board, stealing all his stuff and leaving him stark naked in the middle of the woods), his name is Jack. Oh, and did I mention he's a min-Maxed for health which drives people insane? Unfortunately, as luck would have it, he stumbles upon the worst possible hidden class for him. Warrior of Glass. A class with insanely high attack power... and insanely low HP. He's also given a quest to retrieve a sword in the middle of the Ashen Forest (lovingly nicknamed "Suicide Woods" by the players) and another quest to kill 7 insanely powerful demon lords that roam the lands so he can fulfill his predecessor's legacy. Now, armed only with a veeery high damage output, an unbendable will of steel and his almost nonexistent sense of guilt (emphasis on almost), he still aims to become the #1 player. This time, with some serious handicaps.
