《VIKING PRINCESS》Chapter Twenty-Eight

As Grace was eating she had started to think to Ivar and Hvitserk. She wished that Hvitserk had just gone with her and Ubbe. Part of her was glad she left and stayed with Ubbe as she trusted.
She then thought back to the words of Lagertha as she looked at her. Lagertha was talking to Ubbe of who would glance over at her. She smiled as she looked back down at her porridge as she had guessed Ubbe told Lagertha.
"I can't thank you enough for this, Lagertha." She said as Lagertha shook her head. "No need. I will take care of you for as long as your here." She nodded as she scooped the last bit of the porridge.
She sat back in her chair and closed her eyes with a big grin. "Come on, it hasn't been that long." Ubbe said patting her on the shoulder as Lagertha watched. "Brother, I don't think you know how tired I was of bread."
They laughed together as Lagertha stood to go back to her room. "I will leave you two to talk." Grace nodded and looked at Ubbe. "Later can we train." He nodded and jumped up and grabbed a bow and arrow.
"Why don't we make you on of your own." She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Why can't I just have your old one." "Because, if you make one it will be your own. It will be your creation." She stood and grabbed the bowl as a thrall hurried over to take it.
"Well, let go get wood." She said as he jumped again and walked to the door and opened it. She smiled as he was as giddy as a child to help her make a bow.

She followed behind him as they made their way to the woods. "What are you going to do cut down a tree." He laughed to her as he picked up a heavy branch that had fallen.
"This will be it. Now let head back and you grab a knife." She sighed and nodded as Ubbe walked back and sat outside the great hall. She walked over to some of the builders and stood hesitant.
"Could I borrow your blade?" She asked the man who looked towards and quickly nodded. He handed it over and she smiled as a thanks. "I got you a knife."
He grabbed it from her and started to cut it down and add places for the arrows. She sat there watching incase she would have to make one later when he was gone. "I want you to take this and add it to each end."
She took a skinny piece of rope and tied it to one end then tried to the other. "I can't get it!" She yelled in frustration. Ubbe held back a laugh as he grabbed it from her and tied it.
"It only because your taller." She said as he shook his head. He knew it was an excuse because she had short arms. He liked to spend time with her so he wanted to make her a bow.
He wanted her to know he was there and would never leave her.
