Grace woke early than she had done in her life just to grab some bread and find Halfdan. As Halfdan was leaving out of his tent she ran up to him. "I brought you some breakfast." He shook his head as he had already eaten. "Come on. Why don't we share?"
She ripped a piece of bread and handed it to him. He gave her a small smile and then they walked. "Shall we take a walk through the woods?" He said holding his arm out to her.
Ubbe watched from afar as Bjorn walked up to him. "Worried for her?" Ubbe shook his head at his half brother. "No, I trust her. I know he will do right by her." Bjorn smiled and patted his back in agreement.
"Do you always have to pick flowers? Why not let them grow?" He asked as she was just about to pick another. She stopped and looked between him and the flower and stood straight. "From here on out, I will not pick another flower for you."
He gave her a chuckle as he shook his head, "you can pick flowers. I was not saying to stop." She smiled at him and brushed her fingers through the grass around them. "This will be my last flower gift to you." She said picking the prettiest she could see and putting it behind his ear.
She was oblivious to Halfdan as he gave her a loving look. He put a hand on the back of her neck as she looked up at him with confusion.
He quickly bent down and gave her a lasting kiss before pulling back to see her smiling. "Why did you do that?" She asked with a grin as she put a hand on his cheek.

"I could not help it. I could not wait longer." She laughed with her head thrown back as he smiled to her with happiness. "We should be getting back. I believe you have battle plans."
"You are going to war as well?" "Yes, but I would like to spend some time alone." She told him and have him a quick kiss and dragged him out of the woods.
"I shall see you tonight?" He asked as he turned on his way to the great hall. She nodded and waved with a soft smile. "Of course."
She watched him leave and let out a breathe and held her chest. "Oh my gods!" She yelled and jumped while putting a finger to her lips. Some people that were around looked at her confused by her sudden happiness.
She quickly ran to her room and pulled out her brush. "Mother. I don't know if you can hear or see me. But I think I'm in love, as you said but I wish I had your advice." She said brushing her hair as her mother had.
"I am going to meet him tonight. I hope you are smiling at me or happy for me. I really hope Sigurd is happy as well." She had brushed her hair for the last time as she heard a knock.
"Sister, I heard you speaking of mother." Ubbe said closing the door and sitting on her bed. She turned to him with a smile. "Oh no, don't tell me." "I'm in love!" She said in a sing song voice and jumped up pulling him with her.
He let out a laugh and jumped with her. "Congratulations. I just may have to give him a better talk." She shook her head and sat on the bed. "I can't believe I have finally fell in love as mother said."
