SAME DAY

"Wait, you actually talked to Brendon?" Addilyn asked, looking at me with disbelief.

"Yeah. I messaged him over Instagram to wish him a happy birthday and a short conversation continued on from there. I wanted to talk more, but somebody decided to show up to my house three hours early," I told her, shooting her a glare in the process.

"Hey, you didn't tell me that you were talking to him or else I wouldn't have shown up at all!"

"I didn't know that I would be talking to him!"

"Anyways, moving on. What did you guys talk about?"

"Erm... stuff that I'm not allowed to say. But right before we stopped talking he asked if we could talk again sometime."

"What kind of stuff you're not allowed to say?" She asked, raising her eyebrows.

"Did you completely ignore when I told you that he wanted to talk more at another time?"

"Wait, he said that?!" She asked, turning her head towards me violently.

"Yeah," I replied, drawing the word out.

"Oh my god! Camdon is coming true!"

"Excuse me, what is coming true?"

"Camdon. It's you and Brendon's ship name," she explains to me. I obviously still look confused, so she explains further. "To "ship" a couple means to have an affinity for it in one way or another. So like a bunch of people on the Internet think, and I agree with, you and Brendon would be a cute couple, therefore they started shipping you."

"I'm still confused, but not as much."

"Let's just order our food and forget about this conversation," she suggests, looking back at her menu.

"Good idea."
