[Real life]

The next day

"Am I ever going to meet him?" I whine to my best friend. She and I are eating Chinese takeout in my living room while her puppy, Shadow, is playing with they few toys I had here for him.

"You will eventually. He did say that he has to come in like once a month right?"

"Yeah, what's your point?"

"Well maybe one of those days you'll actually be there. There's a good chance of it considering you're there 1,000,000 hours of the day," she said, clearly exaggerating the last part.

"I am there a lot, but there's not even close to 1,000,000 hours in the day, so that's inaccurate. And you can't say anything, as most of the time that I have off, when I'm not sleeping, I'm talking to you. That's more I can say for him," I confess. Things have been getting more and more flirty with Brendon, and I'm not sure how I feel about how fast it's going. He's not the only one doing it of course, but I'm still unsure.

"How are things with you and him since you're not talking as much?"

"Well, good I guess. He was really disappointed when he found out I wouldn't be there today, and asked if we could meet up outside of the set. Of course once I told him how crazy my schedule is until this movie is done he understood, his schedule is just as crazy if not more when he's on tour."

"Which next time he's on tour he better give us fucking amazing seats!" She yelled, causing Shadow to look up at her. She took that as a chance to jump up on te couch.

"No Shadow, get down. I would let you, but if my landlord comes and sees the dog hair on the couch I'll get kicked out faster than I can tell her that you're not mine."

"Why don't you just, I don't know, buy a house? You've got the money to, so why don't you?" She asked me, spilling rice on the couch. "I'll clean that up."

"I'll don't know. I've always wanted to, but something keeps holding me back."

"Like the possibility of you and Brendon moving in together and having adorable babies? That would hold me back as well."

"No, that's not it. It's been there since before him and I even started talking."

"Well, it's a good reason now that you guys are flirting and shit. Does he even have your phone number?"

"Yeah, he asked for that last night. He was still using Instagram after that, but that could be because he didn't want to start the conversation on text in the middle of an already going conversation, if you know what I mean."

"Strangely, I do. That does make sense."

"Anyways, enough about me. What have you been doing while I've been filming?"

"Going batshit crazy. Shadow's there to help with that, but it's still lonely. I miss you!" She wrapped her arms around me and didn't let go.

"I miss you too, Addi. I promise once this movie is filmed we'll go back to hanging out everyday."

"Yay!"
