My wife and I had a bad and stupid habit – we didn't lock the entrance door with the key when we got home. Leaving for work in the morning I discovered that we slept all night with our door unlocked.
We started pointing fingers, trying to figure out who was the last one to come home and who was a more careless one. One time the front door swung open at night from strong drafts and started clapping. We got pretty scared that time, but the habit still would not go away. But then something happened that forever taught us to lock all doors with keys. And hell, I'm seriously considering the idea of a real dead bolt...
My home is my castle, and why do you need walls, if the gate is wide open?
That night I could not fall asleep. Suddenly I decided to check the front door, and although I felt too lazy to get up, that desire was obsessive and unrelenting. I walked into the hallway, tried the door and... yes, it was not locked again! I turned the key 4 times, and for some reason also the second key, the lower one, which we never used. I made just two steps towards the room when I heard strange sounds behind the door. There was a feeling that someone was touching the door with their hands on the other side, feeling it as blind people do when they encounter an obstacle and try to understand what that is.
Although startled, I still turned around with the intention to at least look through the peephole. I approached the door closely and noticed that the handle began turning up and down, as if someone was trying to open the door. Then there was a strange spasmodic knock. Suddenly I felt cold, my heart ached; I did not feel not fear or horror but some black melancholy, muddy incomprehensible anxiety crept into my soul. I didn't feel like looking into the peephole anymore. Quietly I began moving towards the bedroom, my wife woke up and she was about to say something. I showed her to be silent, she knew immediately that something was wrong. Her eyes widened.

I must say that I have one device that I almost never used. To be precise, it is a video camera that is looking at the porch and is connected to my computer. My brother gave it to me who was at the time working in the company that was installing video surveillance.
At the time I looked at it, played with it a little, and forgot about it. Now I remembered it. I do not know what trait of human nature makes us look into the eyes of the evil. And so I sat down at the computer and launched the image of the porch.
What was it? I don't know, but I saw it and my wife saw it. It was something wrapped in some dark rags, unnaturally twisting and wobbling it was walking around up front, scratching at the door, pulling on the handles, leaning and listening to the sounds in the apartments, looking into peepholes. The head of that something was also wrapped in rags, and from the rags were sticking out of its dark hands, long and narrow with unnaturally long, two to two and a half times longer than normal fingers. Several times more that something came up to my door and leaned against it for a long time. It seemed that my heart stopped, tears were streaming down my wife's face and she bit the edge of the bed sheet not to make a sound. I, confused and anxious was reading "Our Father" to myself...

The General Core {The Sphere}
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals. The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely. The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced a zombie apocalypse, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now he is asked for a repeat performance of planning and controlling a dungeon and its spawns in a world that he knows nothing about… But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be. Being a soul in a dungeon core means that the General has better chances of finding hints to the truth about the sphere – a knowledge that would help him survive. And no, the sphere is NOT a virtual reality – the key to its secrets is the place where it was physically constructed (Author’s hint). This is a dungeon core story - but there are quite a number of things that I will do differently than common to those stories. 1) I will describe the floors when they are explored, NOT when they are build. Yes, that will mean it will take longer to get to those parts - but I think describing floors both when they are build and when they are explored destroys quite a lot of chances for suspense when adventurers enter the dungeon. After all, if you as the reader already know where the traps are, then you can't really be surprised when the surfacers encounter them. 2) How the world works (and how not) is an integral part of the story, so it will be explained I'm a world-builder first and the Sphere is NOT a regular world (as hinted in the synopsis above). Things will work differently than in your 08/15 default dungeon core stories - as the General and Gunny have already learned in the second arc (and more of that is already scheduled for the next weeks (July/Aug 2019) when the Sky Arrows continue to explore and evaluate that strange dungeon) If you don't like these premises, then I'm sure you'll find a lot of other Dungeon Core stories more to your liking. But if you are interested in more than "Dungeon builds another room and corridor in medieval earth" and are not afraid of a longer and slower story, then go on. I have two more stories in the Sphere, although they both have lower priority than this one: Shaleen the Wanderer (Adventurer, NSFW) (currently on hold after some chapters) Info's on the Sphere (System Docu and Short Stories) (irregular updates when needed) Current Status reports have been moved to a new discord server: https://discord.gg/EaHkXCfm9y

Words I Left Unsaid
"Like a treasure map in a bottle, We were slowly drifting apart, Mother Nature sailing our purpose out to sea, The more I got to know you, I realised how much of a hoax your devotion was, Almost as fake as the smile I paint across my shattered face."This collection of poetry releases trauma in the form of expression - mainly the words I could never build up the courage to say. Most of these poems present conflict of the mind and allude to mental health struggles, which may be relatable to a certain community of people.Ranks -#3 in poem#3 in poembook#8 in poetry collection #7 in sadpoems#6 in poemcollection #7 in wisdom #15 in poetic
