《Unforgettable (Peter Parker x Reader)》Monument trouble

The day of the Decathlon had finally arrived. Both mine and Michelle's alarm clocks on our phones went one after another, incase we decided to close our eyes and fall back asleep.
I herd a groan come from behind me before there was a soft thud. I rolled over to see Michelle head out of bed with her phone lying face down.
I let out a small laugh which made Michelle look up at me and give me a death stare. "It's to early for you to be laughing at me." She said and pulled herself up then threw the covers off.
There was a sudden loud knocking at the door. "We're leaving in half an hour." Mr Harrinton's voice came from the other side of the door.
"I guess we should get up." I said, throwing my covers off and got up to get ready. I glanced at out yellow blazers that hung off to the side so they wouldn't get creased. Today was going to be stressful but fun, knowing that my three new friends where going to be by my side.
I started to put my shoes on when we herd Liz's vice yell though the door, telling us it was time to go. I looked over to Michelle and gave her a smile. "Lets do this." I said as I put my blazer on and grabbed my backpack.
As we where about to walking down the hall, Ned came out of his room but no Peter. He had a worried expression on his face.
"Morning Ned. Where's Peter?" I asked. He jumped and turned around to look at me.
"Uh, he had an emergency. He should be here in time for the decathlon." Ned said as he fidgeted with his bag.
I rased an eyebrow at him. I tired to think of a possible explanation as to where Peter was when the only thing I could think of was he went to as Spider-Man.
I started to worry that Peter might have gotten himself in some sort of trouble. "Hey are you alright?" Michelle asked as she put a hand on my shoulder.
"Uh yeah. We should go before we make everyone late." I said and started to walk towards the lift.
~~~
As we all sat on the bus, doing last minute prep before we arrive at where the Decathlon is being held and go up on stage against another team.
Liz freaked out when she found out that Peter was missing. Some of our team mates tried to calm her down, saying that I would do just as good of a job as Peter would.
I highly doubt that, but I will try my best.
We all got off the bus and started to make our way into the hall. We handed our phones to the people at the door and walked in.
I started to fell the nerves start to get to me. I stuffed my hands in my blazer pockets and followed behind Ned.
We all stood together as a group as Liz gave us a little speech.
"Remember guys, take your time and don't rush the questions. All of your will do great." She said with a warm smile.
Everyone smiled back and started to make our way on stage. As we all sat down in our seats, I looked down at the paper that were sitting in front of us.
The person who was up on stage with us, started to tell us of the rules before the timer started and we all started to work on the multi choice quiz's as well as the essay that we had to write.
As I was writing my essay, my mind kept going back to Peter, hoping that he was alright. I shook the thought out of my mine and concentrated on my work, knowing that he wouldn't want me to be to distracted.
~~~
It was tense at the moment, both us and the other school where tied up with points. I looked around at everyone who sat next to me. The only person who looked calm was Michelle.
I was jealous of who calm she was in such a stressful situation.
"We are not entering sudden death. The next correct answer, wins the championship." The lady said.
I had my hand ready over the buzzer, waiting for what the question was. My leg started to bounce which was a nervous habit that I had.
The lady asked the question and nither side answered for a short while before a ding was herd.
"Midtown Tech?" The lady asked as she looked over at us.
I looked over to Michelle who looked like she was about to answer the most obvious question ever. "Zero."
The lady looked astonished and and said "That is correct."
As those words left her mouth, everyone jumped up and cheered. A huge smile appeared on my face and I pulled both Michelle and Ned into a hug.
"Michelle your a genius!" I yelled over the loud cheering.
She smirked. "I know."
I laughed and gave her a light punch on her arm. "I just watch Peter was here to see this amazing win." I said as everything started to calm down.
"I'm sure he'll be ecstatic when he finds out that we won, especially when he finds out that you answer more then half of the questions." Michelle said as we walked up to receive out medals and the trophy, which Flash took.
We all walked off stage to meet up with Mr Harrinton who had a large smile on his face. "Good job everyone. I though since everyone did a fanatic job today, I though we all could go to the Washington Monument." He said and everyone cheered.
We all grabbed out stuff from where it was kept safe out in the foyer and started to make our way over to the monument.
" I knew that we would win." Flash said, being as cocky as ever.

I gave him a dead pan look. "Flash, you where quiet the whole time." I said and he shot me a glare but didn't say anything.
Ned held out his hand and I gave him a low five. We all walked up to the entrance of the monument. As we where waiting in line for the X-ray machines, my phone started to go off.
I pulled it out and saw Peters name flash across the screen. "Peter?" I asked. Ned turned around and looked at me wide eyed.
"Thank god! You need to tell Ned that the glory thing that you uh where given is a bomb." He said in a rush.
"Hold on. What?" I asked confused.
"What is he saying?" Ned asked as he put his bag on the conveyor belt.
I was about to answer back when I was told to put my phone down and walk though the metal detectors.
"Sorry Peter, I'll call you again when I can." I said, worried about what he had meant. I hung up on him and put my bag and phone down and walked though the metal detectors.
I was about to call Peter back when Mr Harrinton walk over to me. "Who ever that was can wait."
I looked down at my phone worried and put it into my blazer's pocket. All of us walked into the lift with a tour guide.
The doors closed as soon it started to go up. As we did I found the tour guide boring as she spoke in a monotone voice. I started to zone her out when I smelt something start to burn.
I looked over to Ned and saw something start to glow in his backpack. "Uh Ned." I said worried.
He looked over to me with a raised eyebrow. I was about to say something when a bright purple light came from his bag, making the whole elevator come to an abrupt stop. "I think I knew what Peter meant now." I said as I looked at Ned's burn bag where the Chitauri stone was.
He threw his bag onto the ground and looked at me. "I was carrying a bomb in my bag." He whispered with wide eyes. "We could of died."
I looked up and saw the roof of the elevator was been cut and melted from the blast. "I think we're still in danger Ned." I said as I pointed up at the roof.
"We're all going to die here." Abe said, speaking everyones though out loud.
"Ok guys, I know that was scary, but our safety systems are working." the boring tour guide said. I don't quite believe her as I herd loud creaking come from around us.
The boring guide then climbed up onto the railing and opened the hatch. One by one, everyone started to get pulled up though the hatch and then pulled to where I guess was the observation deck.
I looked toward Ned worried as the elevator started to creak again.
As flash started to be lifted up, the elevator dropped a few inches causing everyone to scream. I felt Ned grab my arm and hand on for dare life. "Flash, don't move as much!" I yelled, worried if he moved any more we would all fall to our death.
It dropped a little more. At this point, I was terrified.
I looked up at where the metal of the roof was melted from the blast, and saw it start to brake apart. The elevator jolted once more, before we started to fall.
Me, Ned, Liz and Mr Harrinton, where screaming at the top of our lungs. When I though this was the end, the list stopped falling and we all fell to the ground.
But that didn't last long as we started to fall again but then stopped. As it did, something fell into the lift and landed with an 'oof.'
When I looked over to what had landed, Spider-Man was lying on the glass clover floor. He started to move and we then contended to drop.
'Peter do something!' I yelled into my mind. I closed my eyes and once again the elevator stopped falling.
I opened my eyes to see that Peter was on the roof, holing onto his webbing. He was the only thing that stopped up from falling to our death.
He cleared his voice and looked between the four of us. "Hey, how're you doin'" He said.
You wanted to laugh as his attempt at making his voice lower.
Ned then started to move around causing the lift to move as Peter started to pull it up. I was impressed with his strength.
Behind able to pull up a extremely heavy lift with four people still in it. I stared at him in aw as I watched as he pulled up us.
As we got up to the level where the glass doors to the observation deck was, Mr Harrinton, Ned and liz managed to get out. I was about to when when I was weightless once again.
I looked up at spidey with wide eyes. I let my relaxes do the work as I kicked off the wall and gabbed onto his hand just in time. "Don't you dare let go." I said as I dangled over the elevator shaft.
"Don't worry, I won't." He said is in a soft voice. He then started to pull me up. I felt people grab me and pull me up to the floor.
"Looks like watching ninja movies saved your there." Spidey said and I let out a breathless laugh.
We stared at each other for a second. I was about to say something when he suddenly fell. I looked down the elevator shaft to see him falling until he disappeared into the dust and smoke.
Hopefully he wasn't hurt from the fall. Flash then walked over to where I was looking and yelled "Are you really friends with Peter Parker!"
I looked over to Flash with a deadpan look.

Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.
