EVA SCARLET.

Scene. (Liam's pack house.)

"Let's go for a walk. Leo is constantly asking me to take you to our pack forest." Liam knight asks me, we just ate lunch in his personal kitchen in his pack house. I must say makes good sandwiches.

"I can do that. Tell your wolfy he is so thoughtful." I reply back and walk back in the bedroom to grab my phone. Few minutes later, I am walking beside my mate hand in hand out of his top floor apartment towards the stairs. This pack house is beautiful and thoughtfully decorated. It's has five floors and each floor except for the first floor, are dedicated for living apartment spaces for other pack members who work for Knight Businesses. The first floor has various offices where pack business is conducted, Liam also works from the first floor with other pack members. The pack kitchen is on the ground floor along with some area dedicated for indoor activities and a huge swimming pool.

The pack house has a front entrance and a back entrance. The front entrance is connected to the front porch and parking area on the left and a beautiful Fountain Garden on the right. The road connecting the front porch leads to various houses owned by elders or mated couples with children. While the front porch is beautiful, the back entrance is stunning as it connects to the forest area. It has various path ways leading to various areas like camping range, river and trekking range. The forest area consists of small vellies where one can run freely in the forest for hours.

Liam also tells me that pack owns various hotels, resorts and adventure sites on the pack land. All the pack members work together on various projects and earn profits together. The elderly and the retired members of the pack get money checks as their retirement fund from the pack business and they settled in built houses near the pack house or on farm lands like his parents.

Every pack member tries to take part in the monthly meeting in the pack house. Alpha conducts the meeting in the grand ball hall which lies on the ground floor of the guest quarters, building next to the pack house. Liam also tell me about the training grounds on the other side of the pack house, where young pack enforcers train.

As Liam walks me through the pack house i notice I haven't meet or seen any other pack member during my tour in the pack house, beside the earlier encounter of a female hugging my mate where Anna snarled at her, i haven't even seen or heard anyone's moment in the house, it feels like it is completely empty.

As we reach further to the ground floor, I am curious why haven't i meet even a single person from Moon Knight Pack. So, i hault in one place. "Where are others?" I curiously ask him. He just smiles and tugs my hand towards his body.

"Elsewhere." He reply. Ever since I woke up from the nap, he has been toying around the topic. Even when we were having lunch earlier he answered my questions vaguely.

"Where? Don't they want me to meet them?" I am trying to not get emotional thinking, where are other pack members?, doesn't he want them to meet me..?. I should have known that he is embarrassed of me being with him in his pack. I should have just left him alone.

He must have read some strange expression on my face as he takes a step forward and place a kiss on my forehead. Jolt of electricity passes through my body. "Sweetheart, it not like that. Everyone has gone on a camping trip by the lake. Every weekend pack members go for camping trip near the forest Lake to unwind their jobs and spend time with their loved ones." He whisper in my ear and calm my anxiety.

"Won't Alpha William want us to join the pack. I think we must join the others." I curiously ask him and i also don't want others to hate me from keeping Liam away from the trip with his family and friends. It is also important to inform Alpha of the pack about things related to not joining pack on the camping trip.

"No, Alpha won't mind us skipping the camping trip. We can go for a walk or run in the forest if you want." He says with a cheesy smile on his face. Ever since our kiss in his apartment he hasn't stopped giving me those cheesy smiles which i have started to like the most.

"Okay" I say and he places a quick kiss on my lips and electric flow runs from my body again making me addicted to it and makes my body want more of such blissful kiss. He then walks me through the backdoor of the pack house to the open green grassy land which leads to forest clearing.

"Let me show you my favourite trekking path through the forest. It is one of the best path for any sort of recreational activities." He lets me through the pack grounds into the forest area where paths were laid for walking and cycling. I loved the natural beauty of the forests as like he said it relaxes our mind in the form of recreational activities and cool air blowing feels good.

We walk for a almost half an hour and it has a calming affect on my body, and i feel sense of security my mate is walking beside me. Suddenly, I hear some noise to my right side and my head snaps in that direction. It sounds like there is a group of some people in the woods and then i hear a single loud thump. My wolf hearing enhances and I let Anna scan the area through her hearing and smell. I also smell unfamiliar werewolf smell. I glance a look at Liam, he is standing beside me holds my hand tightly.

"Jeremy, Kyle and Tommy. I know you are in the woods. Come out and meet my mate." Liam says and I see three teenage boys walking out form the direction my wolf was indicating about the noise. All the three boys had a wide guilty grin on their faces and walked in front of Liam. My mate looked like a school teacher who just caught his naughty students in between their some kind of crazy act.

"Hi." The boy in red shirt waved his hand in my direction and the other two hung their heads in embarrassment.

"What are you all doing here?" Liam asks in his authoritative tone. "Does your parents know that all of you are here?" It's my first time seeing Liam with the pack members, even though he is strict with the boys but he plays a good role as a responsible adult.

"Sorry, we were just playing in the woods and Tommy just fell off the tree branch and he sprained his ankle a little." The boy in blue shirt indicates the sprained ankle of the boy in black shirt, AKA Tommy. I instantly gets into my doctor mode, taking a step closer, i ask the boy in black shirt. "You are Tommy right?.." He nods. "Do you mind I check your ankle?" He nods again in agreement and I get down on a knee and slightly lift his ankle.

His eyes move form mine to Liam beside me and I know he is nervous. "Don't worry I am in a Med school and I can check your ankle, it's kind of my job." He hesitantly nods and let me check his ankle. "How old are you Tommy?" I ask to divert his mind to some different topic. I just move his foot a bit and he lets out a hiss in pain.

"I am fourteen years old, Ma'am." He answers me nervously. He is trying to pull a brave face, to not show his pain but fail to do so as he lets out another hiss.

"Your bone is not broken but your ankle is sprained and it is starting to swell. I would advise you to follow the RICE method, and it will just be okay in about two weeks." I diagnose his ankle.

"RICE method?" The boy in red asks with confuse expression on his face.

"Yes, RICE method. Rest, ice, compression and elevation. It's one of the basic methods to treat sprain. Apply ice on the ankle and limit your moment. " I reply and face Tommy who looks confused."You should get checked by a doctor at the pack hospital for a proper diagnose but I think you will be fine in two weeks time."

I glance a look in Liam's direction and he seems to have an amused expression on his face. I lift my eyebrow in questioning look. He smiles and introduced me to his pack mates. "Jeremy, Kyle and Tommy meet Eva. She is my mate." They smile and shake hands with me before introducing themselves to me. The boy in red coloured shirt one is Jeremy, blue one is Kyle who is standing beside Tommy in black shirt. "Now you two can assist Tommy back to the pack hospital." Liam then takes my hand in his and walks me on one of the laid pathways.
