Roman walked by Aricka's room one day to hear singing.

"Hey princess," he says, and Aricka looks up. "How're you feeling?" she holds up her journal in response:
It's been a month without Jack. Mark's been a great help. He kissed my scars and the palms of my hands. He tells me that it's okay to feel this way and that we can fix each other. If I'm upset, he brings me my favorite food and we watch Disney together.
"Mark seems like he's a great guy," Roman comments. Aricka smiles and holds JackaBear close.
"He's amazing."

Touch is a story about a boy named James, and his friends: a group of young, superpowered people brought together by trauma; all trying, in their own ways, to come to terms with what that trauma means to them and who they want to be in response to it.
