Aricka nervously shifted in her seat. Today was the audition for Peter Pan at the community theater. Thomas was actually helping to decide the cast, so she was all by herself. "Aricka?" one of the ladies says. She stands up and walks onstage.
"Hi," she says. "My name is Aricka Sanders."
"Which role are you auditioning for?"
"Peter Pan," they ask her a few more questions, then they give her the go-ahead to start singing. The music starts, and she takes a breath.
"I have a place where dreams are born,
And time is never planned.
It's not on any chart,
You must find it with your heart.
Never Never Land.
It might be miles beyond the moon,
Or right there where you stand.
Just keep an open mind,
And then suddenly you'll find
Never Never Land...." Something changed in her, and she was no longer Aricka, but the famous legend, Peter Pan. She was telling others about her fantastical home, Neverland.
"You'll have a treasure if you stay there,
More precious far than gold.
For once you have found your way there,
You can never, never grow old.
And that's my home where dreams are born,
And time is never planned.J
Just think of lovely things.
And your heart will fly on wings,
Forever in Never Never Land... " her heart was racing as she finishes the song, and her eyes were wide with childlike wonder.
"You'll have a treasure if you stay there,

Forever in Never Never Land..." she didn't feel it, but her arm was extended, reaching for some unseen object. She opens her eyes, and the two ladies and Thomas were standing and clapping!

"We have our Peter Pan...Aricka Sanders, come out here!" Aricka's eyes widen, and she runs out-right into Thomas' arms.
"Ahh, you did so great! I'm so proud of you," he says, rocking her side to side.
"I did it! I did it! I'm Peter Pan!"
