Aricka woke up to Virgil shaking her on her 17 birthday. "Happy birthday," he whispers, and she smiles.
"Thanks, Verge. This is already a lot better than my 16 birthday." they both laugh, and she gets up, grabbing her outfit so she can get changed.
When she walks downstairs, Roman hugs her, spinning her around. "Our dancing queen is here"! he proclaims. Aricka laughs, and then someone knocks at the door. She opens it-and Dan's there! She hugs him, and they laugh.
"Happy birthday, Aricka," he says. The box he was holding barked. "Um-can I come in so you can open my gift?"
She nods, and they walk in-and if they linked pinkies, no one dared point it out. He hands her the box, and she lifts the lid:
"Awwww MY GOSH YOU GOT ME A PUPPY!" she exclaims. "I'm going to name him...Patton Remy Jr!" she stands up and hugs Dan, who's blushing bright red. "Thanks, Danny boi."
Logan was hiding a squeal, Aricka could tell. She walks over, puppy in her arms, and says, "Lolo, look at Patton Jr!"
"He's-too precious to process," he answers. Aricka giggles as the puppy licks Logan's cheek.
"Patton Jr. likes you just like real Patton likes you!" Patton says, coming up and hugging his-slightly-taller boyfriend.

Old Version - The First Magician
INDEFINITE HIATUS I always seem to make these too long when I ask for peoples opinions so I’m not gonna try an exciting description anymore but instead just give you an idea of what to expect. First off, this is my 2nd attempt at a story but my foundation for this one is much better than the 1st already and I see this going much further and so far its coming together much faster and easier. So please excuse me if things are not up to publishing standards. Also I tend to confuse your, you’re and so on so sorry to people that triggers ahead of time. The First Magician follows the story of 15 year old Alex in a post apocalyptic rpg-ish world in the near future. Earth was transformed, monsters appeared and people began being able to use Ki but could not figure out how to use magic. Alex ends up becoming the first human able to use magic through a series of events and sets in motion events that will change the very future of the human race. He will be somewhat OP simply because he is the only human (at least to start, who knows about later?) who is able to use mana. Many classic RPG elements have been removed. I didn’t want the story to be like all of the other lit rpg stories on RRL but it also makes the writing easier for me hence the watering down of rpg elements. UPDATES: I am doing this to relieve stress and for fun so I will release chapters when I can. So far though ive managed to keep up with 2 most days. CONTENT WARNINGS: There will be some light language but it won't be insane. I might have some gore later on but am unsure and the same for the sexual content. Sexual content isn't super likely as I doubt I can write it well but I put the tag so people cant yell about it if I add some in the future but forgot to add the tag. PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
