I couldn't believe Thomas wanted me to sing Warrior Girl. I love the song; I just-it makes me nervous singing it in front of a whole bunch of people. Today, I was mimicking my "big brother" Virgil.
Now it's my turn to sing. Virgil was going to play guitar for me, and Thomas was letting me look at him while I sang; because he knows Virgil keeps me calm. I take a breath, and start singing:
"Warrior girl only goes to where she wants to

That could be me...." to my surprise, Roman comes over and offers his hand-he wants to dance with me? I nod, and take his hand. Then we start to dance.

I'll find a way to climb the tallest, highest tree..." as I finish, he spins me around and I'm looking at DAN AND PATTON JR! "Oh my gosh!" I exclaim, and hug them, as PJ licks my cheek and Dan hugs me back. "You're here," I whisper, glad my mic was off. "I can't believe it."
*time skip to after the show*
Dan and I hug backstage, and I finally let the suppressed tears fall. "I can't believe it-you came to see me?"
"Of course. I can't ask you out via text now, can I?" he asks. I look up at him and tilt my head.
"You still haven't asked me." he nods and asks,
"Aricka, will you go out with me?" I giggle, and reply,
"Of course."
