"Really? We're gonna stress about music in a time like this?"
"I don't know why you're stressing. Jackson is out cold until I snap my fingers again and that means there is no kanima out killing anyone. Derek can't get to us because us involves me and he's learned his lesson." Violeta said. "Oh! I love this song." She began singing the opening which was a few ad-libs of some cole-world. Stiles turned it up, interested to see what sort of music taste Violeta had. He knew she liked the Arctic Monkeys - which he had died when he found out and hadn't stopped listening to 505 - but he didn't actually know what kind of music she would be happy to hear come on the radio.
So he turned up the song, wanting to hear something that did.
It was catchy with a nice beat as the guy rapped about a girl in class that he had a crush on. He grinned, looking at Violeta and thinking that he'd never passed a note to her.
"It started off so innocent, she had a vibe and a nigga started diggin' it. I was a youngin, straight crushin', trying play the shit cool but a nigga couldn't wait to get to school." Stiles smiled and thought about how excited he was to see at school after he spoke to Kenny's that time and found out she would help them. And then every time after that.
"Cause when I seen them thighs on her and them hips on her and them lips on her got me daydreamin' man what?" Stiles blinked as he realised the turn the lyrics had taken. But there was the undeniable truth. Just the other day in Chemistry when she had come in that tight shirt. And now in that dress.
"Hey, who is this?" Stiles asked, straining to keep his voice light and neutral.
"Rapper called J.Cole," she explained, "he's my all time fav. Despite how you're listening to this song, he's actually very poetical and the a good story-teller... as you'll find out."
What Violeta had meant by that was that J.Cole began to tell the story about how he first had sex with this girl from his class. Stiles fought to keep himself calm as he felt all of the lyrics, feeling like this J.Cole guy was telling the story he, Stiles, wished would one day happen for him. One day very, very, very soon.
It didn't help that the narrator was a nervous virgin who overthought everything and was heavily attracted to very confident girl whose confidence alone made him feel like she was out of his league.
It also didn't help that the hook was the line "and I ain't never did this before, no" repeated over and over.
"And you know who else wants to have a good time? Stiles. Stiles wants to have a good time. Many, many times. Several times in a row. In several different positions. Preferably with a certain Spaniard..."
That's what Stiles had said. He had said it after just becoming friends with Violeta and the comment was purely based on the fact that Stiles was once again having a sexually frustrated moment and she was the prettiest girl he could think of. Granted, back then he was always thinking of her. Although, to be fair this was because he had just met her and the novelty of her had him, some would say obsessing over her.

That was the excuse he had used but as she sat here beside him, he knew that wasn't true. It wasn't true because that attraction grew. It grew and grew and Stiles couldn't believe he ever once thought that bright yellow hoodie once belonged to a boy because Violeta was... she was cute in her dorky moments and beautiful in her constant, natural state and man was she hot. The first time Stiles had seen her in the gym, wearing crop top and black pants and mildly sweating he had to take five cold showers.
Now, she was here and wearing a dress he wish never existed because he honestly felt tormented with her sitting there and him sitting here and this song playing.
"Stiles... are you okay?" Scott asked his friend. He heard Scott sniff and his eyes grew, remembering that his friend could smell attraction and, more importantly, arousal.
"Yeah, uh, I'm just thinking about the Jackson." Stiles blurted out. In the rearview mirror he saw Scott's horrified face and Stiles glared at him and shook his head. Scott frowned and looked at at Violeta who was leaning against the window, looking outside at the night, rapping the words of the song under her breath. Realisation came onto Scott's face as he once again did the signature more of wiggling his eyebrows.
He couldn't wait to tell his best friend that Violeta's heart had literally skipped a beat because of him. He gave Stiles a look and winked at him. Stiles knew Scott McCall knew what that look on his face meant. He shook his head frantically but Scott had already opened his mouth.
"You know, this Cole guy gets it right."
"Excuse me?" Violeta said, frowning and turning to look at the werewolf stuck in the back beside a sleeping kanima.
"You know," Scott said, a grin on his face, "the first time."
Violeta glanced briefly at Stiles who had by now refused to look at anything but the road ahead of him.
"Are you honestly trying to find a way to brag about not being a virgin?" Violeta asked the werewolf.
"I, uh, what no!" Scott asked, realising how much of a douchebag he sounded. "No, I was merely commenting that the song, is, it's a good song."
"It's okay Scott." She said, grinning at him. "You forget that I'm friends with D-Bo and my friend tonight ditched me for some guy in a cowboy hat he just met." She shifted her entire body and turned to face the werewolf in her seat. "How are you and Allison going though?"
"We're..." The mischievous glint in his eyes disappeared as the sad fact of his relationship hit in the face. "I'm... uh."
"I am sorry," Violeta quickly apologise, "I always pictured you to perk up and begin rambling about how amazing she is whenever someone asks about her."
"Oh no, he does do that." Stiles said, recalling the day he'd been a messenger for the pair in vivid detail.
"It's hard since her entire family wants to kill me." Scott muttered sadly.
"I do believe that would put a damper on a relationship, yes." She said and Scott shook his head, smiling at her fain joke. However, her words triggered something and she perked up herself. "By the way, if Noah asks, Stiles and I are dating."

"Noah?"
"Stiles' dad." She elaborated. Scott's brows shot up, not realising she was on a first name basis with his friend's dad, "He's under the impression that we didn't tell anyone because we didn't know how people would react and that's why we went to a gay club where would no one would notice."
"Oh." Scott said, his smile returning as he knowingly looked at Stiles. "Really?"
"Mhm." She said. "When you tell Allison — don't look at me like you two don't even ask each other what the other had for lunch."
"Okay you got me there." Scott said, holding his hands up.
"When you tell Allison," Violeta repeated, "make sure she doesn't tell Lydia. We don't want Stiles' chances here of having his own Wet Dreamz-esque story being ruined."
"What? Oh no, no, no, no!" Stiles finally chimed in. "We, uh, that won't be necessary!"
Violeta frowned and tilted her head, wondering why he was adamant that would never happen. Her mouth dropped open in shock and she turned to Scott and stared at Scott and then back at Stiles. "Oh." She said and adjusted herself to sit back normally in the seat. "Um..." Stiles and Scott both made eye contact, freaking out with how Stiles had practically admitted to Violeta that he had feelings for her, that he was now over Lydia. Scott was about to speak to smooth things over when Violeta spoke first.
"Congratulations, I guess." She said, catching them both off guard. "Well, uh, looks like I'm the only virgin in the car."
Silence.
Once again the boys spoke the exact time as they both asked exclaimed, "You're a virgin!" with shocked tones. Violeta recoiled at that comment, her face crumpling. That was how you would describe it: crumpling. Her eyes welled up as she turned in her seat and stared out the window.
"I know I have a lot of guy friends," she began, "but they are my brothers. I have never — "
"Oh my God no!" Stiles said, immediately understanding why she was so upset.
"We didn't mean it like that!" Scott added.
"It's because, you know, you're a very beautiful girl. Not because we think you're a slut!" Stiles said, Scott saying a 'yeah' in agreement. "I mean, like Vio, you-you're so confident and you never let anything phase you and I swear every guy would throw themselves at your feet and you're incredibly hot and cute but like at the same time and that sounds cheesy but I don't know how it's possible — "
"—What Stiles is trying to say!" Scott jumped in before Stiles could truly confess his feelings on accident, "Is that we're surprised you seem to know everything and everything."
"And you think sex is included in that?" She asked. They both nodded, sheepish. "Well no," she said. "I'm unashamed to inform the both of you that I haven't even had my first kiss. I don't believe in multiple guys, I like the idea of one guy and sharing all those special things with that one guy who was destined..." she cut off, looking down at her arm.
Maybe she should move to Poland.
"See Scott!" Stiles exclaimed after a brief lapse of silence, "Here's someone else who believe in soulmates!"
Violeta all but flinched in her seat as she turned to face Scott and Stiles. Scott rolled his eyes, "I used to not believe in soulmates."
"Used to?" Violeta questioned.
"Then I met Allison." Scott said with a cheesy grin.
"Besides, you said you believed in soulmates because Lydia was yours but now—" Scott immediately stopped talking with Stiles gave him a look in the rearview mirror. But it was too late.
"But now what?" She asked but neither would answer. "But now what?" She repeated, not letting it go.
"Now, I, uh," Stiles stammered, "now I see that she's always gonna be hung up on Jackson and we're probably not going to work out, like we never were gonna work out."
Oh.
"Oh."
"Anyway," Stiles was quick to say, "I'm just driving here. I don't know where to take Jackson. I mean, could we take him to yours?"
"What? No. My mum would freak!" Scott said. "Um... what about..." and the boys continued to brainstorm where to take the sleeping Jackson when Violeta's phone buzzed. She pulled it out and saw Tomei calling her. She frowned, Tomei was well aware that she was out with Luis right now. Sure it might not be the truth but there was no reason for her to call right now—
"How long?" Violeta immediately asked as she answered the phone.
"I don't know. Melissa McCall just contacted me and said she's asking for you to visit her right now."
"I'm on my way." With that she hung up and turned to Stiles who was looking at her wary, concerned eyes.
"Stiles," she began, "I know you were freaking out about Jackson but I will only ask you this one time if—"
"Hospital." He said, not even asking her to confirm where it was she wanted to go. "I'm on it."
Violeta turned and snapped her fingers. The boy groaned in the back. "I can't promise I'll be on this Jackson-Kanima case in the foreseeable future so if he wakes up I'm sure Scott can punch him really hard."
No one disagreed with her.
The rest of the car ride was silent as Violeta focused entirely on her breathing and keeping it calm and steady. There was no time for tears right now. She had to be strong. This moment was all it came down to.
They arrived there shortly after, being closer than they had thought. Violeta was out of the car before he had even parked. She rushed forward and made the usual route to her grandma's room. She stopped at the door and took a steading breath and opened it.
