Beeping sound of machine attracted everyone's attention. The doctors and nurses rushed inside while one nurse kept others outside. Doctors were shocked with the view in front, Manik and Nandini both lying lifelessly. The staff shifted Manik to the other bed in the same room. Nandini and Manik both were taken under treatment. Doctors were trying their best to bring the two lifeless creatures back to life.

An hour of continuous tries, but now there seem to be no hope. The doctor declared inside the room "They will now either die or will be back to life. And even if they would be alive there is 99% chances they will slip in coma. If not, that will just be a miracle!"

The staff was looking at each other with a very low spirit now. They kept the equipments down and turned to move out. There's the MIRACLE!! Nandini and Manik both took long deep breaths. The whole staff turned to them. They were relieved to see the scene and quickly continued with the treatment.

Half an hour passed, The doctors went out. Their families stood up with expression full of questions.

Doctor - Don't worry. They both are out of danger. Neither slipped in coma. And they will gain conscious soon.

Everyone took a sigh of relief. But suddenly,

Kabir - Wait, Both? Manik...

Doctor - (took a long breath) He almost took his last breath with Nandini today.

Everyone gasped but were soon relieved realising both Manik and Nandini are fine now. The doctors left.

SAM and other staffs were informed about the whole thing. SAM was packing his stuff as he got discharged but he wanted to meet Nandini before leaving hospital. He went to Nandini's ward and sat outside with her family members.

SAM - (to Manish) Don't worry Uncle. She is the strongest human I have ever met. Not just physically but also mentally and emotionally. Please pull yourself together. She would be more broken to see you being in this broken state.

Manik woke up. A nurse came out to inform everyone and told them they all may come in. Everyone went in while SAM went to complete some paper works.Manik was just staring at Nandini with a slight smile so he didn't notice others.

Manish - I am glad you are fine, Manik!

Manish said bringing Manik back to his surroundings. He looked around to see everyone and mumbled a small "Sorry". Raj went on and patted his head. Soon after, Nandini's hands showed slight movements. Doctors were called. Nandini woke up finally and doctors checked her up. Doctors left after announcing and assuring that Everything's fine!

Manik held Nandini's hands. Tears slipped of both their eyes unknowingly, they kept staring at each other, "Congratulations" was the first word that left Nandini's mouth. Manik chuckled mumbling "Thank You". Soon, everyone met and talked to both of them and Nandini was all smiley talking to all. Everyone was finally happy and smiling widely after days. Hours passed talking and smiling. SAM came to meet Nandini. Nandini welcomed him with a wide smile which he gladly returned.

SAM - So..., how's our MK?

Nandini - Obviously, fine as always!

The ward filled with giggles and laughs. They kept talking for a while.

Nandini - umm yeah SAM, what about JAMES? I can't remember anything after bomb blast.

SAM - Behind the bars! He will soon be announced guilty and be punished.

???? - James is announced guilty and got punished just an hour ago!

Nandini - Hello, Mr. Khanna.

Mr. Khanna - (smile) We all are proud of you and your mother MK. You helped us a lot. We are really thankful to you for joining our team. We are really happy to work with you. Definitely, looking forward to work again.

Nandini - Thank you Mr. Khanna. But.... I will retire and if can't then will resign!

Everyone was shocked to listen this while Manik was just having a blank face.

Mr. Khanna - But why?

Nandini - I joined the team because I wanted to complete this one mission. While completing it, I already helped in more than ten. MK will not just retire from your field sir but from this industry! Also, I have a family. Look at their broken states. I dare not face this state again! My stupid fiancé (pointing to Manik) almost took his last breath with me! (sigh and smile) I will not use them as an excuse but I just will not continue being MK.

SAM - Means you are also not going to tell the world who is MK?

Nandini - It's better to keep it as a life long secret but it will be revealed soon. It's fine if it gets revealed by the time and not by any of us now.

Mr. Khanna and SAM - Fine, as you wish!

Nandini - Oh right! Please make sure to send my stuff soon, Mr. Khanna.

Mr. Khanna - oh... Actually I came to give your stuff. (pointing to the table) There's your stuff.

Nandini - Thank You.

SAM and Mr. Khanna left. Kabir, Navya, Mukti, Abhimanyu, Dhruv and Alia came and Manik and Nandini talked to them happily. Manish and Raj were happy seeing their kids all fine and happy.

Manik was sitting beside Nandini watching TV.

Nandini - Manik, please pass me my phone.

Manik nodded and handed Nandini her mobile. Nandini called someone and Manik just kept looking at her. Suddenly she put call on speaker once answered.

Nandini - Hello Mr. Sethi, Hope you doin well.

Mr Sethi - MK??? MY GOODNESS!! How are you doing? Like...like seriously you were in a bomb blast.

Nandini - I am all safe and sound now. Don't worry.

Mr. Sethi - Good to hear from you.

Nandini - By the way, I called to say. You and UNI TECH can hold contract signing and press conference next month! I will be discharged the next week and recover fully by the next month.

Mr. Sethi - Alright! But wait! How do you know that we finalized UNI TECH?

Nandini - (chuckle) I have my ways!

Mr. Sethi - Right! So, I will talk with Mr. Malhotra later and will decide on the date and venue.

Nandini - Great!

Mr. Sethi - I have to go for a meeting. See you soon. Bye! Take care!

Nandini - Go on. Bye!

Nandini hung up and winked at Manik. Manik chuckled and pinched Nandini's cheek and they both burst into laughter.

Manik and Nandini were meeting with all the guests. Mr. Sethi was still to arrive. Their friends were all busy in talking and enjoying. Manish and Raj were having some business talks with other businessmen. Nandini excused herself to washroom. Meanwhile, Mr Sethi arrived. He went straight to Manik. They both exchanged greetings and had a good talk. Nandini returned and noticed Mr. Sethi, she went and stood at a distance behind him where Manik could easily notice her. Nandini winked at Manik to which Manik slightly smiled. Manik continued his talk with Mr. Sethi. Nandini interrupted their talk,

Nandini - Manik....

Manik - (smile) Nandini....., come here. (locked their arms) Nandini, meet him. Mr. Sethi.

Nandini - Hello Mr. Sethi!

Mr. Sethi - (flustered) He...hello!

Manik - And Mr. Sethi, she is my fiancée Nandini. Nandini Ahluwalia!

Mr. Sethi - Hello Miss. Why do I feel..... I have met you before.

Nandini - (chuckle) Maybe! Think hard please.

Mr Sethi - (thinking deeply) mmm.... (eyes widened) MK!!!

Nandini - (chuckle) Right! Long time no see Mr. Sethi (forwarding hand)

Mr. Sethi - (accepting handshake) My goodness! MK you here! No wait! HIS FIANCEE!

Mr. Sethi shouted loudly and gained everyone's attention. everyone started whispering about Manik and Nandini being engaged. Nandini and Manik were quite flustered and Mr. Sethi immediately apologized. Manik passed and assuring smile to Mr. Sethi, held Nandini's hand and took her to the stage. Nandini was confused about his actions. Manik took the mic and greeted seeking everyone's attention.

Manik - Hello everyone! Actually........ What you all heard just now is all true! Me and Nandini are engaged!

There were loud cheers. Everyone was awing at the couple and congratulating them.

Manik - Infact, I want to apologize to our these (pointing at Alia, Dhruv, Mukti, Abhimanyu and Navya) best friends as we never told you before but we were engaged even before entering college.

All five of them gasped while Kabir burst into laughter. Navya glared at Kabir and he got quiet and was trying hard to not burst out laughing again.

Navya - No doubt, I was noticing rings in your hands from the moment I entered the party tonight. I was thinking of going to get my eye sight checked!!! (angrily pouts)

Mukti - Since this is the case.... You guys need to be punished.

Nandini - Fine! We will accept any punishment you give!

Alia - Fine! Fine! We will not punish you! Manik, PROPOSE HER AGAIN!!!

Everyone cheered and started shouting "PROPOSE HER!" A shade of red covered Nandini's cheeks as she was all shy by now!

Manik - No problem bestie!

Manik brought a bouquet. Nandini was surprised how he managed to get it arranged suddenly. Nandini turned to him and in a blink Manik was on his knee holding out the bouquet.

Manik - Nandini......., I love you! We were always together, in happiness, in sorrow, in hard times, in good times. We were always there for each other no matter what! We trust each other, have best chemistry out there, best understanding! You are the best happening to me. (forwarding his hand) I am all ready to hold your hand and never leave your side for the lifetime. Are you?

Nandini - YES!

There was shower of rose petals over the couple.

Nandini held Manik's hand and took the bouquet from him. She hugged him tightly like there's no tomorrow. By now, they both had tears in their eyes. Others were either hooting or also crying being emotional. Kabir hugged Navya from back and kept adoring his sister and brother-in-law.

Manik and Nandini parted.

Manik, Nandini - I have a gift for you!

They both chuckled and pulled out a small jewel box, opened it at the same time.

There it was, a necklace in Manik's box and a bracelet in Nandini's box with "MANAN" written on it! Both made each other wear it. Manik pulled Nandini closer by her waist, leaned in and kissed Nandini pouring all the love.

Everyone awed at the sweet couple in front.............
