《Smii7yxOC》Back At It.

Fingers ran through hair beneath me. I was weak when it came to Jaren. His curly hair was so soft and cute that I lost myself in it as I played. Occasionally picking at one of the particular parts and I would twist it in my two fingers. By the time I had finished all of my thoughts on one topic, I would move on.
"Eleos?" I snapped back to reality and finally gave some attention to the actual man that was sprawled across the sofa with his head on my lap. I snapped back and my fingers ran across his forehead to pull the small portion of hair that rested on his forehead.
"What did you get up to? With Matt and that Zeus dude?" I smiled and jolted whilst a soft laugh passed through me. We had done so much.
"Not too much. Planned a wedding. Got the piercings and stuff." He seemed to have then noticed my comment about the plural. He was a good listener when he wanted to be.
"Where?" His eyebrows were raised and even from above I could see his reaction. A look of suggestion was made and I smacked his arm.
"I am not showing you." He sighed and made me feel a little bad. Even though he was only joking and laughing at me. When I had watched him for a little while my mind saw all the reasons why it was okay to show him what he wanted.
Suddenly, his hand raised up his body and to the top of his head and beyond to my hip as he gripped it and held on tight. My fingers tracing imaginary lines on his forehead for a short while.
"Maybe if you are looking at my body." His hand tightened quickly and he sat up almost immediately.

"Does that mean you want me to push for a relationship?" I shook my head and pushed him down again. Only for his hands to move to my top. I pushed him off and walked to my study.
"Come on. At least come shopping with me and we can spend time together." I felt like the worst hypocrite.
"Smii7y. I told you when you thought I had moved on that you should. Now I feel like all we have is only because Jasmine left." His hands and shoulders showed that he did not care and that he didn't believe what I had to say.
"I just want to be friends again and we can fall madly in love. With food again." His not so great save made me laugh and agree to go with him. Shopping. For shoes and clothes.
I climbed into Jaren's car and felt my phone vibrate. It still had hardly any battery but I had more than before. His car was quiet for me and so I could take the call with ease.
"Hey. I know. Basically, all right. Not to worry I will do that. Thanks. Oh, you bring me all the joy. Bye." As I hung up the phone was thrown into my lap and I placed my head on the dashboard.
"Who was it?" The jumping of the car meant I kept hitting my head and hurting myself so I picked myself up and looked at him. My hands falling to my side.
"YouTube, well, Zeus but I am signed in on my email on his phone. My latest video has been not only reported but I can't stream for a bloody long time as the creator that is claiming copyright is not a happy bean. Apparently the way I said a word was her catchphrase but Zeus looked her up. She has like 100 followers. My video would have stayed up if this was it but the girl also said that I swore too much." Anger wasn't present but upset was. I had spent an age on one video. Only for it to be taken off because I swore too much.

I was hardly paying attention when Jaren laced our fingers and we stayed like that for a while. Nothing said but he was clearly one that seemed to be supporting me.
By the time we got to the shop desired for a pair of shoes, I was done. Just wanted to curl up and sleep for an eternity as I thought about my video. There were so many signs telling me that I was not supposed to play Fortnight ever again so that was another game off my list.
"What do you think of these?" Jaren was sat and trying on a pair of shoes that were a little simple but they were classy.
"Simple but classy. I like. But, I think you should get them in a yellow, not a red. Not another pair of red shoes." He checked them out and seemed to agree with me so he also tried on some yellow shoes.
"So, Jaren. It is going to be your birthday in a couple of weeks. What do you fancy for it? I mean, activities, presents." He was just at the till paying when I asked this and he hit an awkward silence.
"I'm not saying we have to celebrate the day together. Though if you have no plans I will make it quite the day. If not, I just need some present ideas." He seemed to relax a little as we walked out of the shop. His hand fell over mine and we walked.
"Look, mummy. They're like you and daddy." A small girl was pointing at the pair of us as the four of us passed.
"She's a princess mummy. Just like you. Can we?" The small girl was begging. Her knees hit the floor and I smiled whilst passing as if trying to show the mother that it was okay. The small girl could clearly see better than I could because no princess looking people were even close to us.
Suddenly, a tap came to my shoulder and I spun around. Jaren was confused for a long second as he had lost my hand and I wasn't at his side. In a moment he was with me again.
"I am awfully sorry. Could my daughter pose with you? She thinks you are a princess and he is a prince." I walked over to the little girl and the mother did too. After crouching to her level I spoke. The mother looking to see my reaction. She wasn't too pleased to start with.
"I may not be a princess but that is only because I am a queen. Unfortunately, this is just my servant. The king is off doing his duties." The little girl squealed and then her mother took the photo. My smile never fell but my eyes did fall. They fell on Jaren as he watched on.
"I'm your servant?" I laughed and raised my eyebrows at him. Suggesting that I didn't regret it and we passed on by.

Rekindle
My Newest, and at the same time, Oldest novel. This is a Rewrite of my very first novel that I begun when I was just starting out. It follows the story of Mark Floyd, a broken man who once tried to do what he thought was right... only to be stabbed in the back and thrown away. Now, pulled into a conflict that spans time and space, Mark has a choice to make; Stand up once more, even if it means facing an unknowable future, or let the Embers of his heart die and sink back into darkness. ----------------------------------- “For gold is tried in the fire, and acceptable men in the furnace of adversity”. Once part of a Special Ops team in the US Army, Mark Floyd thought he had seen the worst that Humanity had to offer. That was until his final mission, one that would leave him a broken and shattered man, betrayed by the Country he served, and abandoned by society as a whole. His dreams filled with nightmares of the ones he failed to protect, mind and memories clouded by booze and more, Mark finds himself stumbling through life without purpose or desire. Life isn't done with Mark yet, however. For as long as even a single ember remains in a persons heart, here is still yet hope for the flames of Passion and Hope to be Rekindled. When the dying embers of Mark's heart catches the eyes of a Being far beyond his understanding, Mark finds himself thrown into a situation not even his years of training could prepare him for. Will this new chance be Mark's hope at both Redemption and Recompense? Or will it simply be the final nail in the coffin for a man already dead to the World? [This is a rework of my very first story. The general story will remain the same, however a few details have been tweaked, the chapters have be Edited better and some chapters have been broken down into smaller chunks for better flow and consistency. The biggest change will be to the System itself; It will be a lot less "Game-like", meaning no stats, levels or similar aspect, though skills will still be present in the form of "Programs". Instead, It'll focus more on the Sigil's nature as super-computers and how they change the world around them. This should make for a much more "natural" and less info-dumpy system.
