Chapter 8: A Generation Of Reincarnators Is Coming
I sighed and wore a very tired expression upon seeing Sev who was just smiling as if she did nothing wrong, I had many questions in regards as to why she came here. But this crazy Sage had a pace of her own thus I had to guide her flow of energy.
"I am not going to beat about the bush here. I want to know the real reason why you are here. Tell me all the specifics"
"But that really is the reason why I am here. But as your intuition told you, there is something else that I need to talk to you about. I may need a private room though"
"Understood, this way then"
I walked within the hallway with Sev who was observing my every movement, I reached the bedroom that I was supposed to sleep in. I opened the door for her allowing her in locking it right after she made a good distance away from it. Sev casts a spell that makes the room very soundproof, of course I am kind of jealous that she has a lot of neat spells I do not know of. Most of mine are battle oriented.
"Alright then. What is the next reason for you coming here?"
I asked with a serious tone to my voice, I might be flimsy and not that serious but I can switch if I wanted to. It does have a strange effect if my loved ones are near and they see me in such an unusual form.
"I know that you are not from this world"
"How so?"
"Who has ever heard of a slime that absorbed a human body and took its appearance as its own"
"Well that is true but it could have happened a long long time ago"
"There is no such case"
"Caught huh?"
I dropped my shoulders and merely collapsed right into the sofa that was nearby. I then sat back up with my arms on the rim of the sofa and crossed my legs staring at Sev who was amused by my reaction.
"I believe you are a Migrator"
"A what now?"
"A Migrator, a being who is either summoned or teleported to this world. We have had many Migrators enter our world and change it for the better"
"I see. What does that have to do with me?"
I mean I am living my carefree life right now. What those people do is of no matter or business to me. I'll just answer without a single care about the topic in question.
"It is not known when it shall happen but several Migrators are going to enter this world soon in droves"
"Oh dear, is that a bad thing?I mean this world will advance in technology and such because of people from Earth"
"It is not, but one cannot be so sure. The Cornea Empire is planning to summon several in preparation for the new Demon King that may rise"
"There is no such thing"
"His child remains, and there is the matter of your adopted children who are candidates for the throne."
"...."
There's also me who has the job of becoming the Demon King as well. Dammit, now assassins from my world are gonna come to kill me.
"The main issue at hand here is within the predictions of the oracle, a lot of brash children and people with personality errors are going to come here very soon"
".....so you want me to correct their personalities?I am not exactly a mentor type of person"

"Then be an adversary who will make them kneel. I can only ask such for my Master"
"Damn, you know how to use your words. I can only think of idol school kids and delinquents who would fit that profiling. The future is looking pretty bleak."
"Indeed but my safety is guaranteed if I stay with you"
"I see why you chose to give up your job"
She chose to run away because she didn't want to be in the crosshairs of being a mentor to a bunch of problem children who have personality issues and chose to quit and run away with a potential Demon King. Should I just choose Demon King for the laughs of it?Maybe not, it's too dangerous. I could feel a headache spawning into existence that I touch my forehead couple that with me sighing. The future is so scary, I might need to be even stronger than what I am right now. Umu strength cures everything! If too many of the hero kiddos come though I might need to figure out a way to run away when push comes to shove. Could even do that return home thing. As I was thinking about this I stared at Sev who was enjoying this the whole time. My thoughts stopped as I realized something.
"Is Sev a nickname for Severn?"
"Yes. My full name is Severn Magnolia, pleased to meet you."
"Funny, I swear I had a character who was called Severn as well. She too was a sage like character, the game for her got axed though"
"Hmm?"
Severn was mischievous, powerful, a researcher who loved creating new items for the sake of it and a sadist who loved to play with her opponents. This Sev and her Sev had some similarities though they were different in some aspects. I walk towards the door and open it so I could get some fresh air but the person in front of me doesn't allow me to, it was Shen who easily got into the room.
"How did you?"
"I felt Sev's aura within our vicinity and came to check up on you"
"You wouldn't do that unless you were suspecting I was doing something with her."
"T-That's not the case. I merely wanted to help you out if you had any troubles with her"
"Uh huh, I ain't buying that. Don't worry Shen I won't get NTR'ed by anyone."
"I already said that is not the case"
"I can see how you changed that stoic Shen into the being she is now. You are certainly remarkable"
"Thank you, she was like a delinquent who was power hungry most of the time"
"Wha-?!"
"Enough screwing around, time I told you the situation to you, since we are both partners after all"
I had my fun teasing Shen for a bit and decided to tell her everything. Her expression went from "Could you stop embarrassing me already" to "OH NO!MORE PROBLEMS LIKE YUKIYO ARE COMING!". It was easy to tell what she was thinking at times, I could read her like a book but the same could be applied to me with Shen. She puffs out her chest with confidence, arms akimbo and beaming a large smile.
"Heh. I will defeat all of them and make it known even across other worlds I am powerful."
"As expected of Shen"
"Indeed"
"And I know this is sudden but"
Why do I feel like I set up a flag here?It seems like Shen was going to say something even before all of this.

"What is it?"
"I am going to be visiting my older sister in the summer"
"Eh?"
"That's very soon."
"Indeed"
"Is your older sister also a water dragon?"
"No, she is an ice dragon who lives in the cold mountains of Alesia. I was thinking of taking you to her"
"Is this the equivalent to taking one to someone's parents?"
Uwah.....what kind of flag is this? What kind of older sister does Shen have?Is she also like Shen or the type of older sister one can rely on?I had many questions but Shen closed them off with a simple reply.
"No, I just wanted to introduce you to her and it has been ages since I last saw her"
"Then what about your parents?"
"My mother, yes. My father I will never see eye to eye with him so I prefer that we do not meet if at all"
I see she has dad problems. I wonder why, oh well if she is reluctant to meet him who am I to say she should. I just smiled and filed it at the back of my mind because it will likely hold great importance in the future. I hope her dad is not some scary dragon that has the aura of some evil mage like a certain maid dragon's, I would shrivel up and vanish into the wind if it is that type of dad.
"Alright, let's have lots of adventures from now on!"
"That still doesn't explain why Sev is here"
"Ack...."
"I am Yukiyo's companion as well as student now, pleased to be at your service"
"Ehhhhh~?"
SEV YOU GODDAMN SADIST WHY THE HELL DID YOU HAVE TO BLURT THAT OUT?!I whistled looking away from Shen's gaze as I did so. Shen then sighed whilst touching her forehead, my charm knows no bounds Shen you gotta get used to it.

Geri and Freki were having a dilemma, all their lives they never had younger sisters and now overnight even they suddenly had twins. Each who were into their exact preferences, it was mind splitting on what they could teach them as their older brothers.
"You see Freki I believe teaching Shiro the way of the warrior is best"
"If that is so, then Kuroe must be knowledgeable about monsters and dungeons. She will definitely aid Shiro in great ways"
"Indeed. But what do we do?"
"That's the hard part"
"........the fact nothing comes to mind is disturbing"
"I know right?"
The sun was blissfully shining down its rays on their fur, they were discussing whilst inside of the yard of the Marquis. The children were playing inside of the bright sun laughing as they did so, Risa was watching them enjoy themselves as she drank her cup of orange juice with a smile.
"These are certainly peaceful days"
"I certainly do want to continue living like this but I am afraid that my skills will rust if too much peace is within my soul"
"Same here. The art of dungeon hunting is to continually do it....wait"
"What is it?"
"I just had a great idea.....what if we make them adventurers and take them to dangerous dungeons and level them up. Destroying the cores as we go"
"Ah..........that is a good idea but will Mother accept such?"
"She will, Shen as well"
"Then let's do it. Right after their lunch"
Geri and Freki had planned great things for their younger siblings, they wanted the best for them as well just like Yukiyo did for them.
☆
The stories of the fall of Weissvalt had spread far and wide, it was inevitable that nations that were not inhabited by humans would also hear of the tales of the great destruction of the kingdom and its usurper king who killed the Demon King.
"So it is said that this person destroyed the capital of the nation using the dragon they were operating to fly over to their location and personally fought my father's murderer and overpowered him. Who is such a person, why haven't they been heard of in all this time?"
She directed that question to her servants who seemed to shiver at her voice. The girl who was questioning the authenticity of the stories, Alisia merely put her hand on her cheek as she stared right into her servants' souls. She was the Demon King's daughter, the rightful heir to the throne and was burdened with ruling the land that her father left behind when he was murdered by that insane human supremacist Hero. She had pale white skin which made her feel like she was a ghost, coupled with long black hair that gave her an eerie aura. Her eyes were like cold ice and she held little to no emotion on her face, with her voice being flat as ever. But one could tell what her emotions were because of the movement of her tail, one could say her soul manifested in her tail. She was angry and wanted to look for this person and kill them.
"I shall take a journey to find this person, a dragon roaming the world is easy to find. Keep the palace and nation safe for me"
"As you will"
☆
"You want Shiro and Kuroe to become adventurers so you could teach them the stuff you know?"
"Yes"
"Indeed"
"Doesn't sound bad. But does the guild allow kids of such an age to be adventurers?"
"Yes they do. They are mostly rookies though, most adventurers start out at that age and grow up within the system"
Sev explained with a matter of fact tone whilst patting Shiro's head as she had just called her older sister just a few moments ago. This child's greatest power is being like an angel that shines brightly on the darkest of souls, even Gertrude who I would say can be introvert like is interacting with her. Will she be known as the Kind Demon King?
"They must become strong because they would be unable to defend themselves against anyone else"
"Indeed"
"But they have us as well."
"We still live"
Their older brothers said with a smile on their faces, you two have undergone a change so quickly, I am so proud of you.
"I guess it is decided then we are going to be stopping by the Adventurer's Guild to register these two"
"Will they though? I mean they are vampires after all"
"They will, in the past vampires were the ones who helped the Guild against monster attacks at the dead of night. So they will register them with glee in their hearts"
"Let's go then"
We all made our way to the Adventurer's Guild at this point everyone had grown used to Geri and Freki but now they were staring at the two vampire children in front of us. Upon presenting them to the guild they had fairly normal responses, wait that's just it?!Weren't they going to freak out that they are Demon King candidates?Ah, wait I can see how tired they are. It seems they are already used to the strangeness that surrounds yours truly.
"Yukiyo, Shen the Guild Master would like to see you"
"Alright, Sev where are you going?"
"I am going to say Hi to your other adventurer friends."
I pity Alex and Ellen, now they are going to be thoroughly questioned as to how they know the Sage.
"I've gotten so surprised in the last few days that I think I'll have no expressions to use in the afterlife"
"Don't say that Rem you'll have plenty to use"
"Oh?Tell me this, how did you get two twin Demon King vampire children? Not only that you have the Great Sage following you as if she is your lackey"
"It is a long story"
"I would like to hear it all"
After hearing everything from the beginning to the end Rem sighed and made a magic circle right above her hand. What came next was rather strange, it was a huge glass cup filled to the brim with foamy beer.
"Ah"
She downed it all as if it was nothing, is this a part of her dwarf genes acting up?Oh well I will need to apologize to her for being so irregular.

The Errant Otherworlder Watanabe
“In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death, taxes and trucks whom transport men to other worlds.” Meet our titular protagonist Haruto Watanabe, a man who has all the markings of a good protagonist for a generic portal fantasy story. As an overworked office worker, to escape from the grips of crippling capitalist alienation, he had taken up to reading many stories where young men like him were transported to other worlds and enjoyed their lives at a most leisurely pace. Armed with genre-awareness and (what he believes to be) a marketable personality which would make him an easy audience self-insert, he longed for the day the isekai express would take him to his long-awaited adventure to another world. When the fateful day came, where the fair yet harsh mistress that is the fabled truck took Watanabe on one last date to the other side, he was most ready to escape his previous life, ready to embark on an errant so great he’d be most overpowered, his heroics so exceptional and his harem so vast that they would barely fit ten or twenty volumes of an overly long novel made by a desperate author looking for quick cash. Lo and behold however, Watanabe instead found himself in a low fantasy world which lacked severely in the department of any game-like systems, cheat skills or easily charmed damsels in distress. In a setting so antithetical to his established genre savviness or any attempts at power fantasy, how will a man like Watanabe, lacking in strength, wits and courage, manage to survive in a land most foreign to him? This is my first time trying to share to the wider world what I’ve written, and I hope you’ll enjoy reading the errantry of Watanabe as much as I enjoy writing about them. I'll be posting one chapter per week on Sundays, along with extra chapters whenever I get the chance to write more than usual.
