"Your dad and I will have to go to work soon. We'll take Minhee with us so you and Haechan can be alone," Mark's mom said and smiled as she had appeared in Mark's doorway a few seconds ago.
"There are freshly baked buns downstairs you can take if you have the time of course," she added with a smirk, looking at the two boys current position, Haechan still laying on Mark's torso. Then she disappeared, making sure to wiggle her eyebrows at Mark before.
"Buns?" the younger question Mark who's face had gone totally red.
The older sat up removing Haechan's head from his chest. "I-It's something you can eat. L-Let's just go downstairs and eat them," he stuttered and crawled out of the bed.
☾ ☼
"So I have an idea!" Mark announced, walking into the kitchen where Haechan was chewing on a bun. "I read online that you can trigger memories to come back with sounds," he said and showed the younger a box full of movies. "Pick one!" he smiled and watched patiently as Haechan started digging through the box.
"This one looks interesting," the brunette mumbled as he pulled up a movie. "What does it say?" he asked Mark, showing off his pick.
"Me before you," the older mumbled. "I haven't seen that movie before, must be my mom's," he shrugged and took the movie from the latter. It wasn't the type of movies he watched but he could make an exception for Haechan. "Let's go," he said and dragged Haechan with him into the living room.
The younger cuddled himself into the pillows and blankets Mark had laid ready, a wide grin spread across his soft face. He let out a giggle as Mark went over and placed the movie inside the movie player. He was excited to watch a movie and maybe recover some of his lost memories.

He watched with big patient eyes as Mark took the remote and flipped through some language settings, pressed play, and hurried over to him. He lifted up the covers and Mark snuggled under them.
"It starting now," Mark said energetically and looked at Haechan. "If you hear a sound or see something familiar, say it immediately, okay?"
The younger smiled. "Okay," he whispered and glanced down at Mark's chest. "Can I lay on you again?" he asked. "Your chest is really comfortable."
"Sure," Mark managed to say calmly although he was slowly dying inside. Haechan didn't do it on purpose, and Mark didn't blame him for doing it, but the younger just had the tendency to play with Mark's heart, and oh how stupid his heart was, beating faster and heavier every time.
Mark blamed himself for being so lonely and swore he would control himself and stay where he was because he didn't want to fall for the little creature that was laying on his chest. The situation was too complicated and serious for Mark's lonely heart to fall.
Too risky.
How typical it then is that Mark's heart loves risky things.
☾ ☼
Mark had found himself stroking Haechan's hair throughout the movie. It was as soft and fluffy as it looked and he could sit the way they did and play with it all day if he was allowed to. He was so lost in thoughts about the boy that he became slightly startled as the latter spoke.
"What are they doing?" was what left his tiny mouth as he pointed at the television.
Mark glanced up, having completely forgotten they were watching a movie. What showed on the screen made him gulp. "They're... They're kissing," he said and Haechan looked up at him.

"Why?"
Mark chuckled awkwardly. "It's a thing you can do to show your love."
The younger scrunched his nose. "Love?" he muttered for himself, moving his attention back to the movie.
"You know what love is, right?" Mark asked worriedly.
The younger tensed. "I don't remember," he said. "But I get sad when I think of it. Is love a bad thing?" he asked.
"No, it's not. Love is one of the best things someone can experience," Mark shivered, a little salty tear running down his cheek.
"Then why do I feel so sad just thinking about the word?"
The raven-haired kept quiet.
"Have you kissed before?" Haechan asked and reached out for Mark's hand which was resting lazily next to him. He took it, startling the older, and started playing with it, a sudden shy wave rushing over him. He had no idea why his cheeks were starting to burn and why he was starting to sweat.
"I have," Mark admitted.
"Did you feel love?" Haechan stopped, giving Mark's hand a little squeeze before letting go.
Mark gulped. His first and only kiss was with Jeno, a few years ago. It was a dare and Jeno and Mark were both tipsy, not thinking too much about it at the time. They were at Chenle's beach house, in a little sweaty room. Six teenage boys, all fun, but Mark feels so bad about it.
The kiss must've lasted an eternity because he remembers seeing the other's shocked faces as they pulled away. He remembers Jeno's swollen lips and how he was trying to catch his own breath. But what he remembers the most was the worst thing about it all.
Jaemin's heartbroken face.
That was the moment he knew something was going on between the two and he felt so awful for what he did.
That night was the last night they spend at the beach house, maybe that was partly why he didn't want to go back.
"Did you?" Haechan repeated.
"Yes," Mark whispered, his voice cracking.
That was a lie, but he wanted Haechan to know kisses were given out of love, not mindlessly given because of a stupid dare.
Haechan turned his eyes back onto the screen. He didn't know why he felt so sad when Mark said that. It was like his inner brain knew something he didn't. It was like he was reacting to a memory he doesn't remember.
It was like he hoped Mark would say he didn't feel the love in that kiss.
☾ ☼
"My eyes are taking baths again, Mark," Haechan whimpered as the movie came to an end.
The raven-haired chuckled and ruffled the latter's hair. "That's against the , Haechan! You can't cry over a movie,"
The brunette froze.
"Mark!"
"Mark, I remember something!"

The book isn’t done yet. Haha—SLAP!«Who put this guy in the synopsis narration?! Get him out of here and launch the warnings! Now!»***WARNINGS:— The MC is human. If you’re looking for a perfect MC, you’ll only be wasting your time here. However, if you’re looking for an MC who will LEARN, GROW because of his flaws. An MC who will try his hardest to overcome adversity, then you’re in the right place.— No harems. However, it doesn’t mean the characters can’t fool around without having love interests. A relationship isn’t necessary for people to satisfy their physical desires.— You will find a few typos, grammatical and wording issues, that’s certain. I’ll do my best to bring you guys quality content and such issues will either be nonexistent or extremely few. However, one man can only do so much. If I get enough support, I’ll hire an EDITOR that will look at the chaps with a fresh eye. And POOF! Issues no more. Improved quality. Happier author and reader. Not sure if the editor will be happy tho.— The first three chapters are fast-paced as to quickly get into the nitty-gritty but slow down afterward to give the story the time it needs to progress accordingly.— The book can, never mind, it will contain «strong» language, gore and violence.— Comedy, as you know it (and if you don’t, now you know) is subjective. So you might not like the jokes.— If you truly read that until the end you have my virtual congratulations ‘cause I sure as hell wouldn’t have done that.
