Haechan walks down the rainy streets, bright red roses in his hands. The red roses were always Mark's favorite. He learned that through the many years they were together.
34 years to be exact.
Yes, for that many years Haechan had been Mark's sun and Mark had been Haechan's moon.
They adopted a child a few years after Mark got his first job at a library. He soon quit the job though and started publishing books. The first two did okay, but the third book he published did amazing. Mark then proceeded to travel the world where he voluntarily told kids stories.
Kids who never had someone tell them a story before. Kids who didn't have a proper home. Kids who just needed someone to put them to sleep.
And throughout the whole journey, Haechan was by his side.
And the kid they adopted, they named him Jeongin, named after Haechan's best friend's wish. He did really well in school and had the best two dads in the world. He graduated and is now working as a doctor, has a sweet wife, and is expecting his second child.
Haechan smiles and clenches the red roses closer to his heart, a tear trailing down his cheek. He arrives at his destination and pushes open the gate to the place.
He walks in and goes straight towards the familiar stone. Haechan stops before it and glances down, taking a deep breath before placing the red roses onto the grave.
"Hi, love," he whispers, watching the tombstone that has Mark Lee engraved into it.
Mark died to cancer two months ago. A sickness, not even a guardian angel can prevent.

"What do you say?" Mark asks.
"Adopting a child sounds great," Haechan answers him and nuzzles his small body closer to Mark's slightly firmer one. "We'll adopt a boy and you'll keep publishing more books. Then we'll grow old together and love each other till the very end."

"We will," Mark whispers. He turns his head and looks down at Haechan who's laying next to him. "I love you."
Haechan moves his face up to Mark's. "I love you too," he sings and gives Mark's smiling lips a peck.

Reincarnated, let's be a pirate.
Oh, does it sound familiar? That's not really a surprise. After my death, God, bored by watching the worlds, choose to send me to a new world. I wonder does he know this is an over-used trope? Oh well, I will be alright. For now, let's find my first event. I'm sure it's around here somewhere. "It's like a trope wrapped in a cliché." "It's great and despite the ''over-used trope'' actually original." "Refreshing, dare I say pretty original too." "One hell of a plot twist." MAY CONTAIN BLATANT FANSERVICE. 15+ Suggested.

A Prose of Years
For decades, spiritualist Evert Kallstrom and his team have joined in humanity’s millennia-long fight against the beasts. Wielding their weapons and their ki, they fought and killed these great threats to civilization. And yet, despite their efforts, humanity was losing traction in the war. In the last fifty years alone, more cities had been overrun than in all of known history. While most thought the great beasts natural, a few knew the terrible truth. They were the product of a dark lord, who desired neither fame nor wealth nor power. Instead, his sole purpose was the genocide of humanity. While their peers dithered, a small faction of the strongest mankind had to offer—including Evert Kallstrom and his team—set out towards the Deadlands to find and confront this dark lord. After weeks of travel, twenty-one spiritualists found themselves approaching an ancient fortress wherein rested a being known only as the Eastern Guardian. All they found was death. But death has other plans for Evert. Evert bolts awake in his 16 year old body near his hometown, decades in the past. He is confused, poor and weak. But with grit, sweat, and years of experience, he won't let the future repeat itself. That level of strength won't be enough by itself (it wasn’t last time) and victory is hardly assured (he’ll need to reach farther and higher than he ever did), but Evert refuses to squander a second chance. [Other tags: First Person POV, Hard Magic, Faulty Memory] Volume 1 is complete and has been fully released. My current intention is not to write any sequel volumes. That said, I have also released appendices (SPOILERS) that cover the worldbuilding and future story-that-never-was. Comments suggesting fixes for grammar, misspellings, etc. appreciated. Note: If you came here from Candlelit Lives, these stories have nothing in common.
