We got to my dads work and quickly found our way towards where we knew Tylers storage unit.
Carmen and Chuy stood behind me as I pulled it open. I groaned when I saw absolutely nothing inside. Which meant they had already moved. Max quickly ran inside and started sniffing everything.
"What's in there?" Chuy asked.
"I don't know" I said following Max inside. "Did you find something boy?"
"Hey found this on the floor" Chuy said showing it to me.
"What is that" Carmen asked still seated on her bike.
"Its my Dads holster" perfect, I looked towards Max. "Max...go search" he came towards it and sniffed it. "Go search" i said again and he sprinted off.
I threw the holster on the ground and ran to the bike. "Man that dog is fast, yo" Chuy said as we tried catching up to Max.
"Then peddle faster, third wheel" Carmen said. Gotta remind myself to make fun of him later.

We came up to the clearing and turned right. Max was scratching at my Dads work truck.
I put the bike down and walked towards it. "Hey, Dad, Jen?" I looked inside and neither of them were there. I turned away from it. "Hey, Dad" I shouted. "Jenna" Max walked over towards the grass. He barked before picking something up off the ground.
I grabbed the bike and towards him before taking it out of his mouth.
"Hey guys look" I held up the charm braclet Kyle gave Jenna for her birthday. "They were definitely here" I put it in my pocket for safe keeping.
Max looked at me as I climbed on the bike then took off. "Y'all having second thoughts" I asked them.
"My second thoughts are having second thoughts" Chuy said.
"So if we find Jenna and we told her you had second thoughts and left" Carmen said with a smirk.
"Shut up Carmen" Chuy said making me roll my eyes. Instead of responding I peddled after Max into the dark woods.

It was pitch black outside. My Dads pocket knife was behind my back cutting threw this stupid stuff around my wrists. Cause a little girl couldnt be trusted with her hands tied infront of her.
The ride was extremely bumpy. Especially since there were no seat belt. Oh yeah about an hour ago he moved my Dad up front with the sheriff and shoved me in the back with Emilio and the dogs.
"Ya know sooner or later the kids gonna find out" the sheriff said. The dog was staring at Emilio and growling. "How far are we planing on taking this?" the Sheriff asked.
"When a marine hits the beach he never stops and he never looks back" I scoffed at Tyler.
"You're not a marine" I heard my Dad say from the front. I smirked and then my smirk grew bigger as the rope around my wrists snapped.
I know that had to hit Tyler hard. He always saw our Dad as his second Dad.
We turned a sharp corner making the dog slide right into Emilio. I laughed at his scared look making him glare at me. Ha serves you right.

It was finally morning after hours of following Max up and down hills and through the trees.
We had riden up to the water fall when Max stopped.
He barks wanting us to keep going but we were all tired.
"Oh man hes not gonna do what I think hes gonna do" Chuy said.
Max then walked straight into the water making Carmen and I glare over at Chuy.
"Why y'all looking at me? Im with the dog." He got off his bike first and headed towards the water. Carmen and I followed behind him.
"Whoa this waters cold b" Chuy complained getting into it.
Max was first to the other side of the water. "Hope you guys know how to swim if it gets deep" Carmen said lifting her bike up.

"I can swim" I said pulling my bike up following behind her.
"When'd you ever swim" Chuy asked me turning around.
"Its just something you know man" I said going infront of him.
"Careful yo its gettin deep" Chuy said. By now my hair was completely soaked along with my clothes.
"If Max can do it we can-" before I could finish the current pulled me under along with the weight of the bike.
Something grabbed me and pulled me out of the water and I gasped for air. "Your brothers bike" I said choking on the left over water.
"Dont worry about it i got it" I tried to go back under and get it but Chuy pulled me back up. "I got it" ge said again pushing me towards shore.
I made it towards the shore with Max as Chuy went back under. Max licked me as tried to catch my breath.
"Thank you" I said to Chuy.
"Just dont expect me to lick your face and we're good" he said making us laugh.
"Hey Chuy ya know you would be good for my sister" he looked at me shocked as we made it up the hill.
"Um thanks b but your sister wouldnt go for me" he said with a sad look on his face.
"Wouldnt be to sure about that" I said patting his back.
"This was a bad idea" I said as Carmen came up to us.
"You think?" They both said.
Max barked at the top of the hill. "Let go see whats at the top of that rise" I started my way up with them dragging the bikes behind me.
I got to the top and looked around a bit not seeing anything.
"NO STOP IT" I quickly looked down to see Emilio holding my sister back.
"HEY LET GO OF HER" my Dad yelled having to be held back by both the Sheriff and some other guys i didnt know.
Chuy and Carmen ran up beside me. Watching the scene with worried looks on our faces. Emilio chucked my sister over to the Sheriff making him let go of my Dad.
Tyler quickly shoved my Dad in the truck then turned to talk to Emilio.
My sister looked really mad. The dog next to her bit at her heel making her jump. Max growled trying to go over there but I held him back.
"We need to get to that highway" Carmen said as we walked away from the cliff. "Get someone to call the cops or something." She said pointing down the hill.
"How about a bunch of navy seals" Chuy suggested leaning over his bike.
"Im not gonna leave here without them" I said then pointed at Chuy. "I'm gonna stay here with Chuy. You go get help okay" she nodded and went back down the hill.
Carmen turned back walking towards me. She dropped her bike and put her lips against mine. I was shocked at first but melted into it.
"I am not seeing this" I heard Chuy whisper.
Carmen pulled away, picked up her bike and raced down the hill. I was still stuck in a daze from that.
"Yo we dont talk about this" Chuy said. "Never" I laughed as he waved his finger in my face.
"Same goes for you and my sister" he blushed and backed off. His cell phone rang and I heard shouts from down the cliff.
"HEY GRAB HER" Chuy and I ran over to the cliff.
Jenna had back handed the Sheriff than kneed him in the nuts before running as fast as she could. Max growled as she ran. Tyler was getting frustrated. Thats when the dog ran after her.
"Max go, go" he heard me and raced down the hill to help my sister.
Hopefully he gets there in time.

Contact First
2039 - Earth A narrow beam energy signal appeared aimed squarely at earth from the TRAPPIST system. The communication consisted of a layered set of repeating data over several thousand wavelengths. Over the next few months scientists discovered that the lower wavelengths carried an encoded numerical language which could then be used to interpret the more complicated messages carried on the higher wavelengths. After half a year of painstaking work the signal was fully decoded. It described a small satellite launched along a precise trajectory towards the fourth planet of our solar system. Included was a package of advanced research that humanity would need to have ready in order to receive the satellite and decelerate it safely. The alien data provided the kick that humanity needed to turn from petty squabbling and unite to explore the final frontier. Major government and corporate leaders worked together to create the framework for the United Federation of Sol. UFS spaceports went from scaffolding to daily launches in every major city around the globe. Ships floated like dandelion seeds, spreading on solar wind to grow into colonies. 2397 - Mars orbit, Egeria Station The command center was a hive of activity as checks were conducted and systems initialized. Scientists flitted by like mayflies as communicators beeped and holoscreens spat out green tinted readouts. Nervous energy was thick in the air as everyone anticipated the culmination of over three hundred years of work. Massive fusion reactors under the planet's surface thrummed with barely restrained power as energy fed into a gleaming metallic maze criss crossing the planet. Metal fingers reached up, overshadowing the mighty olympus mons and trying to grab the stars. All over the solar system, people quickly turned to look as gigantic energy lances shot from the dusty fourth planet. Two years later. The same people that clapped loudly at the successful activation of project Hermes now wait with baited breath. A silver capsule trailing bright photonic sails is captured by a net of grav beams and guided with care bordering on reverence into the station. Holoscreens across the headquarters project an image of the sleek craft settling in the bay. Data connections are established and the holoscreens blink to white. Slowly an image forms on the screen. Across the headquarters people stare in wonder as a wholly alien face stares back. "Contact established. Welcome to the universe."
