《[A Promise]>R. Tempest x Reader》Chapter 40×

Were you dead? No. You were still able to think. So what's that random pain in your stomach? A stab wound? How could you have possibly get that? Wait.. Did you faint? Why does everything seem so quiet? No.. It's not quiet.
You were struggling to move your head that was planted just on the grassy field. With mure strength, you raised your head up to see that your husband was still fighting Hinata. But.. That didn't looked much like him.. I mean.. It is him.. But.. It looked as if he was fused with Ranga? Is that Ranga fused with Rimuru? It was something that'd definitely haunt you for the rest of your life.
"Rimuru," You groaned. Your arms shook as you struggled to move yourself from the ground and near the tree to rest yourself against. "I have to hurry.. H-Heal myself before something happens t-to Rimuru." And here you thought getting stab wouldn't be as painful as your mom leaving you.
"Y/N," A soft voice called your name. "Y/N," It was quiet, but you were still able to hear it. You looked around you, wondering where the voice was coming from. "Okay, okay. You can't find me now, but I need you to play dead. I need you to go back in the spot your body was before." You knew that voice was Rimuru.. But if that was Rimuru, who was fighting Hinata? But in any case, you crawled back to your death spot and closed your eyes, faking your dead scene.
It was rather horrifying to hear that... The fusion Rimuru (what you decided to call it) was getting beaten by Hinata and you were controlling every bone in your body to hold back from attacking that woman even if you were going to lose.

It felt like hours.. Centuries.. When Fusion Rimuru was finally defeated. You were glad it all ended. You could hear the slight patterning of Hinata's feet as she walked away in possible satisfaction.
"Y/N. You can get up now." You slowly moved your body to sit up from you laying position. You wiped off the small speck of dirt from your face as you looked amongst the grass for Rimuru himself.
"Master, Lady Y/N! Are you guys alright?" You saw Ranga come running in the distance with a small huff.
"I guess I'm fine. I just healed my stab wound, so I should be good to go." You look around the grass to see if you can find your husband.
"I'm somehow fine." Rimuru answered. Good. You found him. "Are you okay, Y/N? You suddenly got stabbed. I was so worried."
"I've.. Had worst. A stab is nothing compared to what I had to deal with." You let out a long sigh. "But.. What was that thing that was fighting that woman?! Was that you?!"
"Yes, Master. How on earth-"
"That warning from Soei really saved me. I made a clone of myself as soon as he told me." Your husband explained to both you and Ranga.
"Well that kinda explains it." You let out a sigh.
"Yeah. Then I used one of my power; gluttony." Rimuru added.
"My lord. The truth is, I've been trying to get in touch with Benimaru a while ago, but my shadow step wouldn't connect."
"Huh? Impossible."
"What does this mean?" You wondered.
"The barrier should have already disappeared." Rimuru deliberately answered. He then transformed to his human form. "Let's get going."
"Yes, sir."
"I'll try contacting Elith or Zeldin to see what's going on." Rimuru nodded at your idea.
"Just what the heck is going on?"

Greg Veder vs The World
The average person can easily understand that when it comes to living in a villain-infested, crime-filled city like Brockton Bay, treating life like a game can get you killed. It's kind of ironic, then, that Greg Veder has always been far more serious about games than he ever has about life. (Worm/The Gamer AU)

Embers in the Ash
Four ordinary young people from four corners of the Earth wake up on a hill in another world. Here, their very presence is a crime against the Gods. On the fringes of civilization, life is often brief and always violent, but in the Empire's Heartland, implacable hunters seek to rectify their blasphemous existence with Blade and Fire. To return home, they will need to adapt to a place where their life will be earned in steel. But what will they be ready to sacrifice for their goal? Will their flame flicker out like so many others before them? Or will they thrive as Embers in the Ash? Hello, and welcome to my first fiction on this site! Embers in the Ash is an epic fantasy adventure story that aims to span quite a few chapters (I hope!). To set expectations, this isn't going to be a LitRPG or power fantasy-style story. I'm aiming for a fairly grounded story set in a fairly high-fantasy world. I hope you enjoy it! For this first month of publication, my aim is to give you, the reader, something to really bite into. I will be releasing a chapter every day at 9:15 AM EST (13:15 GMT), as well as the occasional double chapter (which will always be announced by a post-chapter author blurb). Check in fifteen minutes after the first chapter's release! After this first month of publication, the aim is to go for either a weekly or bi-weekly release schedule, depending on the sort of time I can reliably dedicate to writing. Either way, settle in for the long haul, and welcome to the story!
