"I'm so sorry I couldn't avenge you, Elith." Your body was placed next to the girl as rest yourself next to her. "I really wanted to kill Mjurran for you, but... Rimuru... Gosh." You stared up at the sky. "Who knew he would betrayed me like that?" You moved your eyes back to the dead woman next to you. "Please say something, Elith."
Laying next to a dead body, do you not see how crazy you look?
"Y/N.." Zeldin wasn't too sure if he should interrupt your mourning session. "Um.. Lord Rimuru wanted me to-"
"Just leave me alone, Zeldin. I'm busy."
"Look... Y/N.." Zeldin walked up to and crouched next to your body. "You have to accept that she's dead. She's.. She's not coming back.."
"She is.."
"No she's not."
"Yes. She is." You rose up from your position and stare at Zeldin with an enraged look.
"No! She isn't!" Zeldin finally shouted. "I get it, Y/N. I miss her too. But what's the point in wasting tears on someone who's not going to come back." The brown head began sniffling as tears started to slowly fall from his eyes. "I want to kill them too. I want to kill the people who caused Elith's death.. But.. Is that something Elith would want?"
"I'm sure she wouldn't care." You stood up. Yours eyes locked away from his as you began walking away from the group of dead bodies. "You said Rimuru was looking for me? Right. I forgot about the meeting he wanted to hold."
Sadness was filled in Zeldin eyes as he soon realized that your cheery tone had dispersed into an angry one.
"And Elith, as well as everyone else, will be brought back to life. Rimuru said so himself." You look back at your friend. "Now let's go." Chills were send down the brunet's body at your new attitude.

"R-Right, M'lady."

"I'm sure you've all been informed by Rigurd beforehand, but now we need to discuss how we're going to deal with these humans, as well as resurrect those who're dead."
Seemed like the meeting had already started. You glued yourself near the door as Zeldin speed-walked to his seat near the table. "Sorry.." He apologized.
"Y/N, I'm glad you can make it here on time." You only hummed at his statement. Looked like Rimuru was pretending that whatever happened earlier never happened.
"Alright then, with those two agendas in mind, there's one more thing I need to tell you." Everyone sat patiently with churned stomachs as they waited for what Rimuru had to say. "I will become a demon lord." The slime started. "Y/N, too, will also become a demon lord as well. And with that in mind, let us begin."

fter the sudden explanation of Rimuru being a human in his past life, everything started to click.
Never in your life would you thought that your slime of a husband would've been a human in his past life. Ha. That explains it.
You remembered very well that a villager spoke about listening to Rimuru's request about not killing humans.
Was that the reason why Elith died? The kids died? Shion died? Was it because they were killed by humans? It was because they listened to Rimuru.
"Although you were the ones hurt by my rules, that was never my intention." The slime continued to speak. "Although I'm a monster I've always believed that my heart was of a human. So with my mindset, I ended up spending a long time within a human city." You listened silently to your husband with your arms folded. "All of this is my fault."
Everyone sat quietly as they took in everything their master had to say.
You released a loud sigh and exited out of the room. If you were to stay in there any longer, who knew what would've happen to the people in there.

A Titan's Crusade
Erik Thayne spent most of his life being brutally ridiculed and tormented for his weight and physical appearance, among other things. A social pariah and diagnosed with an eating disorder no one has an explanation or treatment for, Erik spent years trying to overcome his issues with his personal image and escape the ridicule and vicious torment of his peers. After years of dedicated effort, and a fresh start in a town away from his childhood and adolescent tormentors, he had finally begun to truly realize what he'd been striving for all along. Only, fate apparently has other plans because in the blink of an eye, Erik found himself snatched from Earth and taken to another universe, another world, where he is offered the chance to be more than he'd ever imagined. Now, he has to fight to restore the Balance between Chaos and Order on a world of swords and magic, in a universe governed by the System's laws, which resemble those of RPGs from Earth. Erik learned to embrace the things about himself that others taught him to hate, using them to reforge his physical identity into something more removed from his old self-loathing. But can he learn to embrace the darkest parts of his mind just as he did the reviled aspects of his body and become who he needs to be to succeed in the task set before him? It might just prove easier to stalk in the dark as a monster than to walk in the light as a man... *This is my first time publishing anything I've written to a public audience. Due to formatting issues, I forwent traditional stat-screens for something a little less problematic, delineating stat screens by separating them from regular text with horizontal lines in a lighter-grey coloration. Let me know if you like them or not. Criticism is entirely welcome, but please don't hate on my work after only reading 1 chapter. This is a writing project I intend to complete but I have committment problems so we'll see how long this goes on. Also, fair warning, as the description implies, the main protagonist is intended to be someone who has been treated cruelly, developed antisocial tendencies, and ultimately has to question his own humanity--or lack thereof. This story is not intended to be brutally dark but I will definitely be trying to follow a darker theme. It is intended to be violent and some scenes later in the story might be...alarming. There will likely also be some light, non-graphic (think more implied with crude jokes and conversation than actual details, there will be no full-blown sex scenes)relationship scenes planned later and if you're opposed to either a bisexual or gay main character, stay away. I haven't yet decided which way he's going to swing but the odds on him being straight are relatively miniscule, and I've always wanted to write a story about a gay man who basically looks like a lumberjack because who doesn't like giving conventional stereo-types the middle finger? This will NOT be a harem story, and I have no intention to focus on romance over action--it's a consequence of character development where I'm concerned, not the be-all-end-all of the story. The cover-art does not, in any way, belong to me. It was an image titled the Druid King (by duskanmarkovic according to the file name) which I found on Google Images. Until I can get something commissioned, this is the best stand-in image I could find.
