(Y/n) POV
She stared at me as if I had grown 65 different heads.
"Come again?" She said, cupping her ear to emphasize her disbelief.
"Y'know, the angry ash blond dude, Balugou?" I said again, confused. How could she have not noticed him. I mean, he's loud, aggressive, and most importantly, the top student in class 1-A.
"Yeah, I know who he is but..wow!" She said, her sunflower yellow eyes widening. She cupped her chin with her hand, giving off some sort of pensive look.
"What?" I said, puzzled.
"Well I just didm't realize you and Bakugou were so..I don't know...close?" She said, elbowing my shoulder. She grinned at me, eyebrows wiggling suggestively.
I felt a heat rushing into my cheeks.
"We-we're not! He just helped me. No biggie." I said, trying ti play it off.
"Yeah..uhu.." She laughed as we stood in the field, surrounded by our classmates.
"Alright guys. Settle down." Aizawa said, glaring at all of us.
"Today, you will practice for the sports festival with a series of fights. As you loose, you get eliminated. You will fight each other one by one until I decide its enough and declare a winner."
Whispers of excitement were surrounding me, but all I could feel was nervousness. I found myself second guessing my abilities. Deep down, I knew I wasn't the weakest in our class, but I couldn't help but feel my stomach churn in its place. I didn't want to completely embarrass myself. Not here, not now.
"Here are the brackets." He spoke up, interrupting my self deprecating thoughts.
"Aoyama vs. Ojiro,
Iida vs. Sato,
Shoji vs. Sero,
Mineta vs. Jiro,
Hagakure vs. Asui,
Ashido vs. Yaoyorozu,
Tokoyami vs. Kaminari,
Uraraka vs. Todoroki,
Bakugou vs. Kirishima,

And (y/n) vs. Midoryia"
I heard many around me groan in fear of their matches. I was a bit worried sinceMidoryia knew quite a bit about my quirk while I on the other hand, didn't even know what his quirk was. He looked a bit scrawny but I didn't want to completely underestimate him just yet.
"Ohhhh! Looks like we both got some pretty good matches ey?? Especially you!"
Mina exclaimed excitedly.
"What do you mean? What's Midoryia's quirk?" I asked her, curiosity edging in my words.
"Well.. honestly..I'm not too sure? It's like a quirk that makes his body super strong. The problem is his limbs break when he uses it too much." She said as she began to stretch.
"Oh. I see." I said quietly as I began stretching a few feet away from her.
"Oi! Extra!" I heard a familiar gruff voice call in my direction. I turned my head towards the ash blonde boy walking over to me.
"You talkin' to me?" I said, raising an eyebrow in question.
"No shit, Idiot." He said. He was now standing over me. In fact, towering over me. He had his hero costume on and boy do I thank the universe for V-neck tank tops.
I shook my head, trying to get the vile thoughts out of my head,
"The fuck are you doing?" He growled.
"Nothing." I said plainly. "What's up?" I said, popping the 'p'.
"You're going against Deku, right?" He gritted his teeth.
"Um..yeah? Why?" I stared right into his crimson orbs.
"Don't loose to that loser."
What?
"Um okay. I'm not planning on it." I said slowly as he began walking away.
Just in time, Aizawa spoke up, his voice quickly diminishing the student's.
"Alright kids. It's time."

Rise of the First Necromancer
Asrael Nessarat awakes on a sandy dune with a mouthful of sand and nothing but tattered rags in his posession. As the High Magus of the school of Necromancy, he once aspired to prove to the Emperor that magic still held a place in their society. But that day came, passed and inevitably accelerated his kind's downfall. Now; they are hunted, strung up and burned on pyres throughout the Empire by the Emperor's holy Inquisition- an efficient and ruthless army hell-bent on bleeding every last droplet of magic from the lands. With nothing but a mouthful of sand and tattered rags; Asrael is determined to seek the one thing his cold, still heart desires. Vengeance. This story can, at times, get very dark. It is not recommended for the faint of heart. This is not a story of an overtly powerful wizard who can pulverize his enemies from across the world, nor is it in any way, shape or form a joyous tale. We follow Asrael as he and his companions explore and seek to change an unjust world, where kindness and acceptance are exceptions, rather than the rule. If you are looking for a story to inspire hope or joy, this is not it. If you wish to read about likeable, heroic people, turn around. If you wish to see good battle evil, where the cut in between is clear, then this is not for you.
