《Bakugou X Kirishima's sister (Reader)》Chapter 13

"I'm so glad you decided to stay!" your mother gushed as she gathered everyone into the living room. "I think since we're all here we should have a family game night!" She walked to the coat closet picking a game out and bringing it to the coffee table.
"Monopoly? Mom that's going to take forever." Eijiro whined looking at you and then Bakugou, hoping you would help stop her.
"I mean, we could play for a little while, but I don't think we'll finish the game," You said as you took a seat on the couch.
"It's settled then!" your mom began setting up the game. Your brother giving you a "are you serious" kind of look from across the room. You picked up the dog game piece, your mother and father picking their usual pieces and Eijiro and Bakugou squabbled over who was going to be the racecar. "Eijiro he's our guest pick something else." Bakugou laughed in victory, your brother rolling his eyes pushing his shoulder as he grabbed a different piece.
The game went slow at first, each of you rolling the dice and moving around the board. Bakugou ended up with one of the Railroads. "Hey, I'll trade you for it? You can have any of my properties, just name your price." The railroads weren't worth much to most people, but you always tried to collect them, your brother had a knack for landing on them.
"Don't do it bro. She can't be trusted, she's pure evil." Your brother said to Bakugou, he knew what you were up to.
"Just because I made you go bankrupt last time doesn't make me evil," you threw the dice at your brother before turning back to Bakugou.
"Any property?" he asked.
"Anything I've got." You said with a sly smile.
He reached out picking up the green property you recently bought, dropping the railroad in its place. You hid your grimace, by keeping the smile. You'd have to get that back later. Not even a turn later, your brother rolled, landing on your newly owned railroad.
"Pay up, E. I own three of them." You smiled sweetly at your brother.
"I told you she was evil," He huffed tossing you the money.
"Even if I didn't trade it you still would have had to pay me instead."
"Yeah but you don't own three railroads."
The game continued, each of you taking your turn, buying property, adding houses, hotels, or paying the property owner. Your parents went broke fairly quickly, they didn't seem too interested in buying property and would always be one of the first out of the game. Bakugou, your brother and you were left, but Eijiro seemed on the verge of going broke as well.
Your brother checked his phone, looking at the time, "Woah its late, we gotta get going."
"Oh, don't worry honey, I already called the school and told them the three of you would be here. I figured you wouldn't mind. And can you blame me? I've just missed you guys so much." Your mother said with a grin.

"Aw mom," Eijiro went to give your mom a hug. She was definitely up to something.
"I'll go get you some pillows and blankets, it'll be like when you were young, and you guys had sleep overs all the time." Your mom disappeared into the house.
Once she was gone your brother spoke, "Well, I'm tired of this game," Your brother laid back on the floor.
"You only want to quit cause your losing," you laughed. "But honestly," you said with a yawn as you stretched your arms, "This game has been going on for far too long."
"Those in for scraping the game say I" your brother said from the floor.
The three of you spoke in unison, "I". You'd only agreed to play for your mothers' sake and now that she was out of the game none of you minded throwing in the towel.
You all put the game away and your brother and Bakugou went back to playing whatever video game they had played earlier. Grabbing your Switch, you and Sora went to your room. You flipped on the TV in your room as you sat on your bed, Sora curled up next to you as you went back to fixing your Island and talking with your villagers. A couple hours or so had passed when Sora got up and hopped off your bed, spinning she turned back to face you putting her head on the mattress and made a quiet whine. She wanted to go outside.
"Alright fine, but no barking, it's too late." You told her as she trotted after you towards the backdoor. You tiptoed around the house, the living room was dark and quiet, they must have gone to bed. You could see your brother made a makeshift bed on the floor by the coffee table, his red hair peeking out through the glass. You opened the sliding door as quietly as possible to let Sora out. You tiptoed towards the kitchen to get yourself a glass of water. Walking in you found Katsuki leaning against the counter with a glass of his own. You made a small yelp in surprise.
He gave you a confused look, "I didn't even sneak up on you this time."
"Yeah, well I wasn't expecting anyone to be in here."
"Didn't you see the light on?" He gave you a look like you were stupid.
"I just thought someone left it on," you muttered walking towards the cupboard.
He rolled his eyes as he side stepped so you could grab your cup. You filled it with water and hopped up to sit on the counter. You sat there a moment thinking to yourself. Katsuki always seemed to act different every time you saw him. It was annoying never knowing what to expect from him. Your mind wandered to earlier in the week, when he had ignored you for no reason.
"Hey," he glanced at you as he was taking a sip from his water, "the other day you said we were friends, right?"
"Yeah, what of it?"
"I was wondering, since we're friends, if I could ask you something?" you spoke slowly, looking at the water in the cup you held.

"Did you not just ask me something? Spit it out, dumbass."
"It's just, the other day, when you were acting moody, you completely ignored me. Like you were mad at me. Why?" You couldn't bring yourself to look at him. If you were being honest, you weren't sure why you were asking and you kind of felt stupid for doing so.
"I don't know, I guess I was just upset." He spoke in an unconvincing tone.
"But you didn't ignore anyone else. So why just me?" You found some courage to look over at him. He stood there with his arms crossed, he was staring at the wall, his face was blank, not giving you a clue as to what he was thinking. You didn't understand why you were so anxious waiting for him to answer.
"Tch, why do you have to ask such annoying questions?"
"Are you serious? If we're friends like you say, you at least owe me an answer."
He sighed, "I don't know."
"Oh, come on, Katsuki." He was starting to make you angry, dodging your questions like that.
"Ugh, you can be so annoying." He closed his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"If I'm so annoying, why do you even consider us friends?"
"It's the questions like that, that annoy me. Why can't you just accept the answer and move on?"
"Why can't you just treat me like a real friend and give me an honest answer?" you crossed your arms, not backing down.
"You know you just get under my skin, and your attitude gets on my nerves. You just have a way of getting me upset and confused." He took a step towards you, rushing through his words. "You even have to argue about stupid homework answers, I just don't understand how someone like you could get me to like you." He exhaled deeply, and then his face suddenly turned red as he realized what he said.
You sat frozen on the counter from his words. "What did you just say?" your brows furrowed in confusion.
"I-I didn't say anything," He stammered. "You just misheard me."
You heard Sora bark once, signaling she wanted to come back inside. "I should probably go let her in," you said. You went to hop off the counter, but your pant leg got caught on the knob of the drawer directly under your seat. Losing your balance, you started to fall face first onto the ground. But once again, Katsuki caught you before you could hit the ground. He put you back up on the counter before he untangled you from the drawer's knob.
"You need to start being more careful," He scolded you as he turned his head to look at you. Your breath became shallow, he was so close your foreheads were nearly touching. His eyes met yours and his usual hard expression faltered for a split second. Your heart was pounding in your chest, you needed to pull away, your brother could walk in at any second and you wouldn't know what to say if he caught you like this. Every rational part of you was screaming at you to move away. But you didn't, it felt as if there was some invisible force pulling the two of you together. Your eyes fluttered closed as the distance between you dwindled and his lips lightly brushed yours. It was a soft kiss, like you were testing the water before completely diving in. There was a slight pause giving you a second chance to end this now and go back.
"Katsuki, I-" But he didn't let you finish as his lips crashed to yours, he cupped your chin, pulling you closer. The words you were about to say lost even to you. You couldn't help but lean into him as you wrapped your arms around his neck. Your mind went completely blank and everything around you disappeared. In that moment it was just the two of you and the whole world ceased to exist. It didn't last long as you heard Sora bark once more and suddenly the sliding backdoor was opened. Your eyes shot open in surprise, you shoved Katsuki away from you and hopped off the counter. You walked into the living room and found your brother standing in the middle of the room, mid yawn.
"Didn't you hear her barking? Why didn't you get her?" You brother rubbed his eyes, trying to stay awake.
"Uh I was just in my room, I didn't hear her over the TV, sorry." You rambled.
"Oh okay," was all he said as he started to go back to bed.
You let out a breath. Katsuki was nowhere to be found and for that you were grateful, you really didn't know what to do or what even to think about what had just happened. You rushed to your room, Sora happily walking beside you. Once in your room you closed the door, leaning on it to support you. Sora hopped in your bed waiting for you to join her. You got into bed, laying down you covered your face with your hands, you could hear the sound of the TV still playing. Sighing to yourself, you knew there would be no way you were going to bed anytime soon.
It was at this moment you wished you had someone to talk to about this. Normally you would talk to your brother about crushes or what not, but this was not a normal situation. You couldn't exactly talk to the person who had told you to stay away from their best friend. You thought about your other friends, no offense to Mina but she would definitely let it slip to just about everyone. Sero and Denki were out, you weren't exactly close enough to them to talk about something like this. Under normal circumstances Bakugou would have told you to just ask someone else. There was always Jirou but looking at the clock you figured she was probably asleep. Sighing again you reached out to pet Sora. You closed your eyes hoping your thoughts would quiet down enough to let you sleep.

The Simulacrum
"He who fights with harem tropes should see to it that he himself does not become a harem protagonist. And if you gaze for long into a narrative, the narrative gazes also into you." --- Friedrich Nietzsche (probably?) How would you react if one day you woke up inside an environment running on tropes and clichés? For allegedly average high-schooler Leonard Dunning, this question became quite relevant when one day he woke up in a pristine city on a strange island in the middle of the Atlantic, without any memories, surrounded by classmates who are barely more than characterless placeholders, and with a classic indecisive harem protagonist and his impossibly beautiful love interests for friends. That would be hard to deal with already, yet his investigation into the tropes governing the world, trying to avoid harem shenanigans, and his odd blend of outside-context knowledge, unique abilities, and a penchant for causing trouble wherever he goes ends up dragging him into the center of the action anyway. Disclaimer: This is a tongue-in-cheek, slice of life romantic comedy, with occasional sprinkles of combat and mystery to spice things up. Please do not expect a straight up deconstruction beyond some in-universe meta-commentary by the characters.
