The day after Theresa's fathers funeral, Bella dragged her to go dress shopping for prom, even though she wasn't going, with Alice and Rosalie. Theresa really had no say in the matter.
"What do you guys think?" Alice asked, as she walked out of the dressing room, wearing a pink dress.
"It's nice" Theresa said, quietly, trying to make conversation, since Bella just stood against the wall on her phone.
"I know right!" Alice yelled as she looked at herself in the mirror.
"I don't know about this-" Rosalie said, walking out of her dressing room, wearing a blue dress that Alice had picked out for her, but was cut off by Bella.
"Actually guys, I gotta go. Edward needs me" Bella said as Theresa stood up from her seat, "Wait-" Theresa said, but was cut off by Bella, "I'll pick you up later Tess!"
Bella left so quickly that Theresa, Alice, and Rosalie didn't even have time to say good bye.
"Of course our brother needs to ruin girl time" Alice said to Rosalie before turning back around to look at herself in the mirror.

Theresa left the dress store a little bit earlier than the other girls. She lied that she had to be home for dinner with Charlie, but in all actuality she just couldn't sit in that dress shop any longer.
Theresa was walking down the street towards the parking lot that Bella said she would pick her up from, stopping to window shop once in a while to kill time.
After about fifteen minutes of walking Theresa noticed that a group of men were following her.
Theresa was used to being catcalled and harassed on the streets of New York, but was she ever followed? No. She didn't know what to do in this situation except to walk faster. So that's exactly what she did.

As Theresa began to walk faster, so did the men.
Her heart began to beat faster, adrenaline began to run through her veins, and it became hard for her to catch her breath.
She turned her head to look behind her and to her confusion, the men were gone, no where to be seen.
Maybe she was just paranoid, maybe they weren't even following her.
Whatever the case was Theresa didn't care. She let out a sigh of relief and smiled before beginning to walk at a normal pace again.
"Hey!" A man yelled, stepping in front of her, causing Theresa to suddenly stop in her tracks.
"What's your name?" He asked her as she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in.
She could smell the alcohol on his breath.
Theresa didn't answer as she turned around with the intent to walk away from the man, but instead was met face to face with the other men who were following her moments before.
"My mom is waiting for me, I have to go" Theresa lied, her mother didn't give two shits about her, but they didn't need to know that.
Theresa tried to push her way through the two men, but was stopped by one of them pushing her back in to the chest of the other man.
"Why would your mom let you walk alone at this time of night?" He asked, causing Theresa's eyes to start tearing up, knowing that she had no way to get out of this situation.
"There, um, there was no-" Theresa said, but was cut off by another man, "There was no what?"
Theresa swallowed before answering him, "There was no parking."
"Please just take my purse" Theresa said as she handed the man her purse.

The man laughed before taking her purse and throwing it behind him, "We don't want your purse."
"Please-" Theresa said as the man walked closer and closer towards her causing her to step back until her back hit the wall of a building.
Tears began to fall from her eyes as she knew she had no way out.
"She's crying!" One of the men yelled before laughing.
The man put his hand on her cheek, caressing it, as Theresa brought her knee up to his stomach quickly in a last attempt to run away.
"Ow! Shit!" The man yelled as Theresa tried to run away, but was stopped by another man grabbing her by her wrists and pulling her back into his chest.
"You think that's funny?" The man that Theresa kneed in the stomach asked as he punched her in the face.
The punch caused her head to hit the man's chest.
"Hold her up" The man said as the grip around her arms tightened and she stood up straighter.
"Please-" Theresa said, but was cut off by a punch to her stomach. Theresa got her hand out of the man's grip before the man hit her again. She closed her eyes and put her hand out to protect herself and all of the sudden the man flew back.
The man holding Theresa let her go. She brought her hands up to her face and looked at them, confused as to what she had just done.
"What-" The man that was holding her said, but was cut off by a silver Volvo driving towards the alleyway.
It stopped at the beginning of the alleyway and Theresa smiled when she saw who got out of the car.
"Jasper."
"She's fucking nuts man! Don't go near her!" The man yelled to Jasper as Theresa fell to the ground, in shock, as the men ran off.
"Tess!" Bella yelled as she got out of the car and ran towards her. She kneeled down on the ground next to her.
"I wanna go home" Theresa said as she sobbed, her cheek still laying against the ground.
"We're gonna go home and tell Charlie-" Bella said as she helped Theresa sit up and lay her head against her chest.
"No! I wanna go home!" Theresa sobbed as Bella ran her fingers through her hair.
Jasper just stood there, watching Theresa sob, wondering what she did that scared the group of full grown men who could have easily taken advantage of her run away like scared children.
Edward put his hand on Jasper's shoulder, trying to comfort him as Bella looked at the Cullen brothers, scared.
