《Byakuya X Reader》🌸Blooming Despair🌸

Everyone stood there, no noise could be heard. I felt as if my heart had been ripped out of my chest. I felt like I couldn't breath. The only thing I could feel was the pain building up in my eyes as they began to water. But, how was this different to what I do? I kill people for a living, this time someone else killed and payed the price. They just happened to be someone I knew this time. But still, these thoughts didn't stop the stream of tears flowing down my cheeks. I wanted to rip my eyes out. Here I was, a successful hitman, crying over someone's death.
'Well... now,' Celeste cleared her through before speaking up. 'I suppose we should... go back to the school,' She sighed before walking over to the lift and stepping up. Carefully, we all entered, some of us still shaking in our shoes. As it rattled upwards, I sniffled, of course the pompous idiot told me to shut up while glaring at me. My mistake for being sad.
As we all walked solemnly along the corridor, Monokuma came once again to burden us. We had spent the whole day investigating and arguing and it was already night time.
We all returned to our respective dorms. I closed the door behind me before falling down onto the ground, tears spewing from my eyes. I allowed the emotions I had been bottling up to burst like a balloon.
My whole life, death seemed like a job to me, it was something I considered a friend. I spent my life killing innocents for money. As I compared my situation to the recent murder, I saw, I was the one who was vile and cruel. Hina only felt that way because of the motive, she wanted everyone else to live, or, at least, herself. But me, I just wanted the money. I was selfish and cruel. Hina committed one murder while I've committed so many I can't count.
I hugged myself as I leaned against the wall, trying to breath to regain my posture before I slept. But, when I had calmed down, another problem hit me, I was starving. But, as the rules said, the dining hall doors would be locked. I hadn't eaten all day. No one had. I can only assume tomorrow's breakfast will be big.

As I crawled over to my bed, I huddled in the blankets I had received from Aoi. I cried into them until my eyes felt sore and I drifted off to sleep once more.
—————————
As I heard the familiar bells of the wake up call, I rolled out of bed, my stomach growling for me to listen. I threw on a change of clothes and dashed towards the dining hall, ignoring the few who were coming out of there rooms.
As I ran into the kitchen, I sped towards the fridge, opening the door to be hit by the refreshing cold air and the sight of food. I gathered together some strawberries and a packet of biscuits before returning to the hall where I sat down next to my classmates. 'Yes, my food may be odd, but what do you expect? I'm starving,' I announced as I crammed the fruit into my mouth, pushing the negative thought's out and replacing them with a happy mask.
'You're eating like a p-pig,' Toko glared at me.
'So?' I mumbled through a stuffed mouth.
'I-It's disgusting,' She grew frustrated so I stopped and chewed before swallowing.
'That better, Miss perfect?' I mocked as I rolled my eyes.
Eventually everyone had arrived in the hall. As expected, we were all hungry, well, most of us. Everyone started to talk to each other, having our own conversations to try to put our minds of yesterday's events.
'Everyone, listen up!' Taka announced. 'Before I came here this morning, I noticed, the stair case was open! I suggest we all explore the new areas,'
'Oh yeah! I also saw the bath house was open,' Sayaka smiled softly.
'Hm, I hope there's a lab,' I mumbled to myself. 'Maybe I can cut something up, like a frog,'
'Right then, I suggest we all split into groups and explore,' said Sakura.
'You think I would work with you plebeians? Most of you haven't even got half a brain. I'll explore on my own,' Byakuya retorted.
'Okay, mr stuck up rich kid,' I taunted at him before sticking my tongue out at him. He gave me a disgusted look and walked out of the room.

'Well now, y/n, Would you accompany me around the school?' Celeste smiled at me as she offered her hand.
'Oh, yeah sure!' I took it with delight as she walked out the door with me in close pursuit. 'Where to first?' I grinned, trying to place the thoughts of yesterday in the back of my head.
'Well... Let's try true bathhouse, like Sayaka said, I would love to take a bath and just relax at some point,' she sighed as we walked over.
The first room we came across was a locker room. It had wood panelled walls and a tiled floor. As well as 48 separate lockers and wooden benches to change on. The plants situated in the room have it a very calm and soothing aura. As I looked around I spotted two more rooms off to the side, a bathroom and a sauna. The bathroom was huge with big marble baths in the floor and mirrors on the walls.
'Oh wow! This is amazing,' I sighed as I walked back over to Celeste.
'Yes, indeed, perhaps we should organise a bathing session later with the rest of the girls, yet, the boys might get jealous,' she smiled sweetly as we exited and walked over towards the stairs.
'Wait, look, that door is open!' I pointed to the door on the way to the stairs that had been closed up until now.
'Oh, even that had escaped me. Well, then, you first,' she laughed lightly as I pushed the door open.
It was a tall room with many boxes and items littered over the floor, but most notable was the tall metal shelves that were stocked piled with more items.
'Woah, that's a lot of stuff,' I went over a knelt down to a box that was full of... sweets?
'Ah yes, it seems so,' She picked up a small deck of cards. 'Maybe we could play some time,'
'As if I could beat the ultimate gambler! I'm just a forensic scientist, I have no talent in your world,' I laughed as I picked up a microscope that had been thrown on the floor.
'Still, it would be entertaining,' she slid the pack in her pocket before grabbing my arm and leading me out. 'We still have to check the next floor,'
As I ran up the stairs, Celeste followed while walking with slow elegance and grace. 'You can run, you know,' I smirked.
'I do not wish to use my energy on useless matters,' she titled her head towards a door on the left as she led me towards it.
'Is that a gun?' I pointed towards the obvious gun hanging from the ceiling. Celeste gave me a blank look before continuing to head towards the pink door with the word 'girl's my written on it. She swiped her hand card and entered and I copied her actions.
The walls were a magenta colour with a wooden floor and a rug. There was some exercise equipment as well as some lockers for changing. Additionally, on the other side was a pool. Unfortunately, it just made me think of Hina, she would have loved to see it, being the ultimate swimmer and all.
'Hey, Y/N,' Celeste put her hand on my shoulder, making me jump 'are you okay, you seem... off,'
'Oh.. yeah,' I sighed 'it's just, after yesterday, it feels all surreal... I mean, I've seen death... but never like that. It makes me wonder who I can really trust here, seeing how quickly she turned on Chihiro,' I sat down on the bench and curled up into a ball, placing me head between my knees.
'Y/N, it wasn't your fault, you get that?' Celeste didn't sound like her normal self, she seemed to have dropped the European accent. 'You seem like a trust worthy person, so I'll tell you this. My real name is Taeko Yasuhiro,' I looked up at her.
'Well, if we're telling secrets, I'm not really the ultimate forensic scientist. I'm the ultimate hitman,'
