《Byakuya X Reader》🍙The mole🍙

I looked at the scene in front of me. Taka and Makoto laid there on the floor, surrounded in the bright pink blood that had escaped their bodies. I sat down next to their bodies, checking their pulses on the necks with my fingers. Gone. But yet, the bodies were still slightly warm, only now was it fading, the cold seeping in.
The temperature of the room stung to my skin like needles. It was refreshing to have a change, but the humid heat felt like needles being sucked into my skin. It made everything feel worse. The blood was still wet and it seemed into a skirt, staining it as I rested my hand on my friend's chest.
The greenery around us felt too bright. It was too beautiful and full of life compared to the tragedy that took place next to it. The chickens were squabbling and squawking in what I could only assume was fear. I could hear them scrabbling at the metal wire that surrounded them.
I felt the presences of my classmates standing behind me. I could heard Mondo walking up to me, passing me by as he stopped over Taka's body. I could see the tears streaming down his face and falling down onto the corpse. 'Why... why'd you have to leave me bro...? Weren't we going to... make it out together?' His voice was hoarse and the despair he was feeling radiated off of him in concerning heaps.
'Which ever one of you did this... you're going to pay,' I raised myself off the ground, turning myself to face everyone else. 'We were so close... so close to solving this mystery and finally getting out,' I gritted my teeth.
'It seems we will enter the trial room again,' Celeste sighed, her tone was fragile and shaky. Even she was shocked by this turn of events.
'Let's just... investigate... you know, before it's too late,' Leon shrugged it off, trying to act cool, but the pain in his voice slipped through.
Junko must be controlling someone inside the group. It was too perfect. The amount of despair that had been created, she had to be behind this murder. Yet, this wasn't by her own hand. One of these people I've been calling my friends, is a mole. I can only say so far that it isn't Byakuya, thank god, since he was with me all night.
'Sakura, you can guard again... and Mondo, if it's not too much, could you too?' I asked him, as he leant next to Taka's body.
'Protecting the crime scene to stop the killer destroying evidence... it's the least I could do to help bro...'
'Thank you Mondo... I'm sure he'd be happy that you're trying your best,' I tried to put a hand on his shoulder, suddenly realising they were still bound.

I walked over to Makoto's body, picking up the knife that laid next to him. I carefully examined it before I called Byakuya over. 'Can you cut my bonds with this?' I asked.
'I can try,' He picked up the helm of the knife, aiming it between both of my hands and slicing through the rope, freeing my hands before he dropped the knife.
'Thank god,' I stretched my arms out before I picked up the knife. 'Hold put your hands,' He followed my instructed before I cut his own bonds.
'Thank you, Y/N. I'll tell the others now,' He brushed his hand against my cheek before getting up and going towards everyone else. I felt butterflies jump around in my stomach before everyone else came over and I sliced through the bonds, freeing there hands and arms. I even took it upon myself to slice through Taka and Makoto's bonds.
I looked over the knife I still held. It was definitely from the kitchen. Honestly, we should really chain these up during the night. They seem way too easy to take.
However, Taka was definitely not killed with the knife. Makoto may have been, but by the looks of thinks, Taka has been hit over the head by something, similar to Chihiro's case. This proved even more this had to be the work of a mole in the group. Only they would have been able to be without bonds.
Then, I noticed something peculiar. The grass was wet. I remember someone telling me the sprinklers would turn on at 7am. But, the bodies were not wet. Which means they were killed within an hour's time frame. However, unless someone else was up there, this wouldn't be much help to us.
'Y/N, look at this,' Celeste called me over as she knelt down in the grass. As I made my way over I noticed how muddy it was, and that my footprints were sticking and then I saw the other set that she was sitting beside. 'These must be the Killer's foot prints,' She pointed out.
'Woah, those are big!' I exclaimed as I compared my own foot to them. 'At least I know it wasn't you, your feet are too small,'
'Ah, yes. But, only one of the boys feet would fit this, oh and Sakura. It could have been any of them,' She pointed out.
'Byakuya was with me all night. I think I would've noticed if he left,' I smiled.
'That narrows it down to three suspects. Sakura, Leon and Mondo,' She sighed 'Bear in mind, Mondo could be acting,'
'Yes, yes. But, I'm sure we'll figure it out,' I flashed a brief smile.
As I further examined the bodies I found a note in Makoto's pocket.
Hey Naegi!
I need some advice for stuff with Mondo, you know. I was wondering if we could talk about it? You and Maizono seemed to be perfect, but, sorry if I got the wrong idea. Could we meet on the 5th floor before the Monokuma announcement?

Taka
However, it was perfectly legible. If Taka wrote it, his hands would have been bound together and it would have been almost impossible to write as neatly as that. It again, points to the idea of a mole. But, if this was used to convince Makoto to come, why did Taka come?
I inspected him pockets before I found another note which read
Taka, I need to talk to you tomorrow, meet me at the 5th floor before the Monokuma announcement. I want to plan a surprise party for everyone and you'd be perfect to help organise it! Makoto
Again, it was too well written and had the same handwriting. Usually, I would inspect the suspects's rooms again, but, I don't want to hurt any friendships I have. I've managed to build them up and I don't want them to fall. But, I do remember the last time I looked at handwriting.
The only suspect here that was also a suspect then, is Leon. And to that I can remember, his hand writing is not at all like this. Which, could clear his name.
Which leaves us with two, Mondo or Sakura. Or just maybe, Junko really did do it again this time. It's for certain she was behind the last one, so why not this time? But, we can't be certain.
As I searched through some bushes I came across a cup. It was a coffee cup that had been thrown into the bush, it had blood on the side of it. I opened it to sniff it and it did not smell too good. It was a protein shake for sure. The killer or the victim must've had it with them when the murder happened. But, I don't see how this links to any of the suspects.
Then, it sounded. The same chimes as always. They rang in my ear as the monitor switched on and the all too familiar face of Monokuma appeared.
'It's time for the class trial!' He cheered and I heard people walking towards the door, their foot steps echoing with every step.
'I... I need to go to the bathroom,' I told Byakuya 'tell Monokuma I'll be there in a moment!' I ran off down the hall, sprinting down the stairs towards the second floor boys bathroom.
I carefully and quickly slid into the secret room and turned on Alter Ego.
'Good morning, Y/N! How can I help you?' He smiled up at me.
'There's been another murder. I need some intel, is there a mole amongst us?' I quickly typed.
'A mole? As in a traitor? Well, some of the files do mention someone working on the inside, but I could not decipher who, it either meant you, the remanent of despair or the mole,' He explained.
'You know I'm a remanent?!' I moved my hands across the keyboard swiftly. Alter Ego was really smart, it was impressive.
'Yes. I found several files on it. But, as to helping you with the murder, it talks about having leverage on the mole. Specifically, Hostages,' He explained.
'Thank you, Chihiro. This may help me, thank you!' I quickly got up as Alter Ego switched off and ran back to the rest of the my class.
I pushed open the red doors. 'Finally! We're all here! Now the class trial can begin!' Monokuma laughed, his voice echoing throughout the room. The lift/elevator doors slowly opened with a creak and we all stepped inside.
I rested my head against Byakuya's shoulder as we traveled down. 'Do you think we can actually survive this game?' I asked him.
'At this point, it's free range. It's not set wether we die or live. Each path is showing its potential, but this trial, I believe, will lead us to the right path we're meant to be one,' He looked down into my eyes.
'I love you,' I smiled.
'I'll never stop loving you, even if we do die here,' He brushed his hand through my hair. 'What's important is that we're trying. We can't stop now. We have to end this killing game. We'll do it together,'
'Together,' I smiled.
Of course, there is always light and darkness. You're able to choose between them, but sometimes, with the right words, you can go where you need to go. With help and support from the right people you can beat the despair and claim victory.
That's what we're going to do.
'I vow that I will not let another murder happen in this school. The next time we're here in this trial room, we'll take down the mastermind!' I announced as we entered the trial room.
'We'll be there to support you, Y/N,' Celeste smiled.
'Yeah.. bro wouldn't want me to give up now,' Mondo clenched his fist as he held it high.
'We've come this far, might as well make it to the end, you know,' Leon smiled.
'We can do it, if we put our minds to it,' Sakura smiled as she turned her head to the side.
'If we give in, we're feeding the despair. We have to prove hope is more powerful,' Byakuya held my hand as he spoke, holding his head up high.
'Even though one of us won't come out of here alive. We will never stop fighting,'

Omnipocalypse Monsters(Shelved Timeline)
System Edit: This timeline has been shelved, but the adventures of the Omegas and her kids will continue in the next System Update Timeline with additional foes and challenges early on to guide the Omegas into a less destructive path of protection. The Omnipocalypse was every apocalypse humans ever imagined all happening at once, zombies, plagues, nukes, EMPs, Robot uprisings. Not just the earth either, It happened to every World ever dreamed up by men too: heaven, hell, and every other afterlife or spirit world ended, plus the worlds of books and stories bled into reality. It all broke apart and either; became new places on the chaotic Earth or part of the even messier spirit world. Magic beasts mutated by radiation, Robots mastering Magic, the mixture of everything made the horrors... well, more horrible. Omega; A young Woman with few memories wakes to find she has spent 2500 years in stasis, in a basement of scientific horrors. Creatures and Things that could supposedly destroy the world if ever let free. Horrors of which she was the last to get free. Rather then Quest for world domination or destruction; Omega keeps getting drawn into a protective role over other orphans, lost monsters, and broken AIs. So she decides to build something to help all her little monster family be safe. -------This story is meant to be a behind the scenes look at stories about kids solving problems that should be beyond them. I always wanted to see a story about Professor Oak, Dumbledore, or any other mentor who trains the main characters. I like the idea of someone looking at the apocalyptic world and deciding to make it safe enough that a small child can wander off and make some monster their pet. The pokemon games have fun systems to consider the behind the scenes workings of, like what training a team rocket member goes through to become a villain cut out for children to defeat. how they prevent a deific pokemon from accidentally murdering some little rat with its immense psionic power. However, the story itself is not really meant to be a pokemon parody, I draw inspiration from every genre of fiction, any type of game, this story is the only one I plan of ever writing without a clear cut ending planned, I love the infinite storytelling capacity of things like Doctor who's TARDIS, the Stargate or Rick's portal gun. In this case, I wanted the setting itself to be one where any and every story might happen. Cover Image by kalli gruen from Pixabay Discord Image by Digital Photo and Design DigiPD.com from Pixabay
