《Byakuya X Reader》🕊The Girl in the Trash🕊

I arrived back to the ground floor and made my way to the cafeteria/canteen, my stomach was growling at me. I guess skipping breakfast was kind of dumb, but we did have a murder to investigate.
I walked in and sat down next to Byakuya, grabbing a few sandwiches and eating them hastily. It almost reminded me of Akane. 'You're very hungry, aren't you?' Celeste laughed.
'What do you expect? I haven't eaten all day!' I grinned.
'What now?' Mondo looked up, his eyes were red and puffy for the tears.
'Survive. It's all we can do,' I sighed, my face softening into a comforting smile.
'How do we know someone won't kill again?' Leon asked. 'I mean, no one expected Sakura to, you know,'
'We just have to cling onto the hope,' Celeste smiled.
'I'm sure we can find a way to end this without everyone having to die!' I tried to cheer everyone up. 'The least we can do is smile. We can't give in to the mastermind. If we give in, it's all over,'
'Yeah, that's probably good, we should just keep a level head,' Leon agreed.
'Hey, I'll clean all this up, I have some trash to get rid of anyway,' I smiled as we finished breakfast.
'You sure?' Celeste looked up at me as she stacked the plates on top of each other while I gathered trash together.
'Positive. It won't take long, I'll just meet you back here or somewhere,' I shrugged as I picked up the plates, carrying them to the kitchen.
Once I had cleaned up the plates and cutlery, I took all of the trash and made my way to the trash room. When I was inside, I opened the trash chute and looked down into it. It was dark and was defiantly deep. It was going to one nasty fall, but it seemed the fastest way to get to Kyoko. I tossed doesn't the trash first before I started to climb into the trash chute.

I clutched onto the sides, taking a deep breath before I let go, holding my arms above my head as I slid down the chute. Although I felt prepared, I was not completely ready for the sudden drop. Nothing supported me as I fell and I let out a long and exasperated scream. I fell into a pile of trash, feeling it submerge me.
I climbed out and slipped onto the floor, picking out the pieces of trash in my hair. 'Kyoko?' I called out, hearing the voice echo around the room.
'Y/N?' I heard her responding to me.
'Where are you?' I climbed back onto the trash to look around.
'Follow the sound of my voice,'
'Can you tell me where you are from... landmarks?' I chuckled awkwardly as my voice echoed around the room.
'A big wardrobe on top of a pile, do you see it?' I glanced around, spotting it and running over and seeing her lying there.
'Kyoko!' I grinned 'Thank god your alright,'
'Do you have they key on you? It's the way out of this place,' she cut straight to the point.
'Yep! I used it to get to the Second floor dorms.. they were a reck,' I explained.
'It's a skeleton key, it can open any door in the school and it will be our way to escape, follow me,' She walked away and I followed her, still brushing off the trash. 'Also, if you don't mind me asking... why is there blood on your clothes?' I looked down at my skirt, it was soaked with Makoto's and Taka's blood.
'There was another murder... I leant down next to the body, it must've stained,' I shrugged.
'Another murder? This quickly,' She exclaimed 'Who have we lost?'

'Makoto and Taka were the victims, Sakura killed them,' I explained 'she was working for the mastermind,'
'I see, well, let's get out of here quickly,' We arrived at a long ladder.
'At the top is the way out,' She pointed up. 'It needs a key to open,'
'Alright, I'll go first, catch me if I fall,' I laugh as I start to climb.
As we climbed we were silent. There wasn't too much to talk about.
'Do you have any clues on who the Mastermind is? Did Alter Ego find anything?' She broke the silence.
'No..' I lied 'But, he found some old files and stuff. No escape route, however,'
'I see. The mastermind has managed to be very discreet. It will take a great deal of work to take them down,'
'Yeah..' I bit my lip as we reached the top. 'Here we are,' I pulled the key out of my pocket and twisted it in the lock, opening the hatch and climbing out.
'We should go find the others, the sooner we start this investigation, the better. We need to take the mastermind down now. I believe if we revisit Hifumi's murder we may find exactly what we need,' She instructed.
'Come with me, I know where they are,' I lead her through the halls and into the Cafeteria/Canteen.
'Y/N, you took your time,' Byakuya looked up from the book he was reading.
'Sorry, I mean, falling down the trash chute and getting back up wasn't the quickest thing in the world,' I laughed as I pushed Kyoko forward 'But, look whose back!'
'Kyoko? Didn't you murder Hifumi? Why are you here?' Leon raised an eyebrow.
'Kyoko wasn't the killer. It was a trap set by the mastermind, which is why we will start investigating to take down the mastermind... as soon as I've had a shower,' I grinned.
'So, the final battle begins?' Byakuya asked.
'Yes, and we need whatever evidence and clues everyone has to solve this puzzle and end this once and for all,' Kyoko stated.
...
I'm lying to everyone, but how can I tell them? I know why we're here and I know who the mastermind is, I'm even one of the remnants of despair.
I need to find a way out of this mess. I need to protect them all even if it costs me my own life. They're all so kind, so full of life, so talented and brilliant. None of them deserve to die.
