"I swear to god Deku..." My voice is partially drowned out by the sound of my hurried footsteps echoing endlessly through the empty stairwell. I feel my legs getting tired. I cant stop now, what if that damn nerd is dead because of me.
The door to the roof is jammed. Using a bit of firepower from my blast, I manage to burst it open. What I see beyond that door is Something that will scar me for the rest of my life.
"D-Deku... DEKU YOU DAMN NERD GET OVER HERE!!" I cant help but choke on my words. He was looking at me as if he were in a daze. Standing in a puddle of what I can only assume to be his own blood. "DON'T JUST STAND THERE!!!, GET OVER HERE" I run towards him at full speed, he was leaning backward, as if falling unconscious. I reach out to grab something, ANYTHING that will keep him from falling but am greeted to a chest full of metal. I had run into the railing, my vision had gone blurry... Through the blur I could see a silhouette of Deku reaching out to grab me... To no avail. while I blink I hear something... The loud crack of my childhood friend hitting the pavement. There was no cry of pain. I open my eyes to my friend lying on the ground, with an increasingly large puddle of blood surrounding his arm and head. Immediately I break for the stairs. He had better be alive.
