What's the one case that would pull even the most cynical of detectives out of retirement and back into the fray?
Your writing challenge this week for is to create a hard-boiled mystery, and no - we're not talking eggs! This week's prompt is all about the character: a hard-boiled character is tough, cynical, and unsentimental, and often finds himself/herself as the only person for the job. Write us a classic antihero to do the detective genre justice (see what we did there?).
** This isn't a contest, but rather a PERSONAL WRITING CHALLENGE to give you inspiration and a new appreciation for the mystery genre. There is no winner or deadline for this challenge, but we will be adding some of our favourite stories to a new reading list at the end of the month, so if you'd like us to take a look, please tag your story so we can find it!

Why was the world’s most advanced AI dumped with a hundred year babysitting job for 50 million people speeding towards an uninhabitable planet? It made such little sense. My current productivity would indicate that I can maintain this schedule for well into the second story arch.
