《Falling For You {Kita Shinsuke}》{Chapter 2: It's Only The First Day}

I was getting ready for school, already dreading it and wanting to go back to sleep.
I made my way downstairs to make breakfast and bento boxes for myself and my brothers.
Okaa-san and Otou-san must've already left for work...
I thought, seeing the kitchen empty while getting ingredients out.
I guess I'll make some extra food for Nina since she always either forgets to eat breakfast or forgets her bento box...
After making breakfast and the bento boxes, I went upstairs to wake up the twins.
I opened the wooden door, hearing loud snoring noises coming from the bunkbed.
Even in their sleep they're loud...
I thought while sweat-dropping.
"Tsumu, Samu, time to get up, it's yer first day of high school"
The only responses I got was more loud snoring, making me sigh a little.
"...I made breakfa-"
"Oh good morning, Nee-san" Samu said, waking up.
"Food???" Tsumu questioned, half-asleep and his hair a mess.
"Yes and it'll all be gone if yer don't wake up and get ready, yer uniforms are on the desk by the way" I told them while chuckling, going back downstairs.
*THUD*
"AH MY BACK"
"Yer so dumb..."
"AM NOT, I'M JUST TIRED"
I rolled my eyes.
Here we go...
"BYE, NEE-SAN!!!" Atsumu yelled happily while waving.
"See ya later" Osamu said normally before walking inside with his brother.
I dropped off my brothers at the gymnasium for their first year orientation before going to see the board for what class I was in this year.
"Hana-chan~~~" a sing-song voice called out from behind me.
I turned to see a familiar face.
"Oh hey..." I replied indifferently.
"IS THAT WHAT YOU SAY TO YOUR FRIEND AFTER NOT SEEING HER FOR A LONG TIME!!!???!?!?!" Nina shouted, walking to my side.
"Eh..."
"You're hopeless, Hana-chan" Nina sighed out, her hair deflating a little.
We walked towards the board to see what classes we were in, not many students were there as it was still pretty early.
"Ooo, I'm in class 2-6, what about you, Hana-chan?" Nina questioned.
"I'm in 2-6 too..." I replied, already tired of going to school.
"YAYYYY, WE'RE IN THE SAME CLASS" Nina cheered hugging me, swinging me side-to-side.
"Oi, don't be so loud" I reprimanded, smacking her head lightly.
"Ehehe, sorry" Nina sheepishly replied, rubbing the back of her head.
I read over the never ending words on my various sheets of paper, a pen in my hand as I took notes.
It's only the first day back and they're already giving us a project to do...how generous...
I thought sarcastically, hearing Nina sigh loudly from the other side of the classroom.
"Is something wrong, Yamazaki?" Fujiwara-sensei asked.
"E-eh? N-no, nothing's wrong..." Nina stuttered, avoiding eye-contact with our teacher/coach.
"Are yer sure?"
"H-hai"
I never thought that coach Fujiwara would be our science teacher...this is going to be an eventful year...
I let out a small laugh, making my seat-mate, Haruko, turn to me with a knowing look.

"This is the only reason why science is my favourite subject" Haruko whispered, trying not to laugh at Nina's stuff up.
I nodded in agreement.
After our science class ended, Fujiwara-sensei left the room, moving along to her next class while Nina walked up to Haruko and I's desk.
"Ughhh, Fujiwara-sensei is so mean to me" Nina whined, recalling how the teacher called her out for her slacking and shenanigans all throughout class.
"Well maybe that's because yer annoying and slightly stupid" Haruko says with a teasing voice.
"Hey!!! I am NOT annoying!! Hana-chan, she called me annoying and stupid!!!" Nina complained, pointing at Haruko.
"Yer a baby now? It's like Hana's yer mum" Haruko continues to tease, rolling her eyes a bit.
"EHHH!!! Hana-chan! Are you just going to sit there and let this monster bully me?!?!" Nina whines.
"Stop being so loud and Haruko-chan please stop teasing her, she's going to blow up my ear drums" I scolded.
What are they? Tsumu and Samu?...
I thought while sweat-dropping.
After dealing with more teasing and whining, the teacher finally arrived and started the class.
"Ok everyone! I'm going to hand out your assignments now, this will be due in a few weeks and you'll be working with another person" the teacher explains.
I see Nina from the other side of the classroom waving at me, smiling.
"I'll be choosing your partners, by the way" the teacher finishes, handing out the papers.
I saw Nina's face fall while she wallowed in her sadness as Haruko and I watched from our seats.
"When I call out your name and your partner's name please go sit with each other and start your task" the teacher finished.
"Yamazaki and Nagisa" the teacher called.
"Well, wish me luck" Haruko said.
"Good luck with her, Haru" I replied, trying not to laugh.
"Miya and Kita" the teacher called.
A boy with light grey hair with black tips stood up and walked towards the empty desk beside me.
"Hello, I'm Kita Shinsuke, pleasure to be working with you" he said politely.
"Hey, I'm Miya Hana, the pleasure is all mine, Kita-san" I replied.
We started to go over the assignment, taking notes and starting on our draft.
The bell for lunch rang as the students placed their writing equipment down and started to pack up.
"I'll see yer later, Miya-san" Kita said, after packing away his materials.
"See yer later, Kita-san" I waved, finishing packing up.
"Hana-chan~ lets go and eat~" Nina cheered loudly, gaining some attention from our classmates as Haruko stood next to her, pretending to not know who she was.
We found a quiet area on the rooftop as Haruko and I took out our bento boxes and started to eat.
*grumble*
"Eh? Didn't yer bring any food, Nina?" Haruko asked, looking at Nina's empty hands.
"N-no..." Nina replied, looking off to the side avoiding looking at our food.
"Oh, I see...yer know...for some reason my teriyaki beef tastes awfully good today..." Haruko said, eating her food right in front of Nina's face.

"H-hey!! You're doing this on purpose!! Stop!!!" Nina shouts.
The teasing went on for a couple of more minutes, while I watched, amused at the scene.
"Alright, alright...here" I said, bringing out some onigiris I made this morning.
Nina's eyes sparkled at the sight of food.
"AHHH YOU'RE SUCH A LIFESAVER HANA-CHAN!!!" Nina thanked me as she munched on the food.
"HA!!! I HAVE FOOD NOW, YOU CAN'T BULLY ME ANYMORE" Nina exclaimed, while Haruko rolled her eyes.
"So Hana, yer joining the girl's volleyball club I assume? " Haruko questioned, ignoring Nina.
"Hm...I was thinking of joining the home economics club, but I won't hear the end of it from my brothers if I change..." I replied, finishing my lunch.
"Oh speaking of food, Hana-chan, you should make me some!!! I missed your homemade meals over the break!!!!" Nina chimed in.
"I swear all yer ever think about is food, volleyball and Hana" Haruko sighed out, leaning back a bit.
"H-hey!! I think about other things too, ya know!!!" Nina shot back.
"Like what?" Haruko raised her brows, challenging her.
"I'm going to get something to drink, I'll be back" I told them before standing up and dusting off my skirt.
I don't want to deal with Haruko's teasing and Nina's whining again...
I thought while walking around, trying to find a vending machine.
.
.
.
Choosing the drink I wanted, I pushed in some coins and pressed the button, the drink making some clanging noises as it dropped into the pit.
I grabbed it and made my way to back to the rooftop, until I stopped in my tracks, hearing someone call my name.
"Miya-senpai!!!!" they called as I turned around.
"May I help you?" I politely replied to the first year.
"H-hai, please follow me, it's your brothers, they got into a fight and no one seems to know how to break it up!!!" they frantically explained, huffing a little.
...it's only their first day and they're already causing trouble...Otou-san and Okaa-san won't be pleased about this...
"Please lead the way" I said, feeling the grey hairs growing already.
I walked into the first year's building, getting some stares from some students.
"Isn't she the Guardian Fox of Inarizaki?"
"They won Nationals last year, ya know?"
"That's so cool!"
Ugh...already gaining attention....
I thought while walking, hearing a loud commotion ahead.
I saw the twins fighting each other on the floor of the hallway through the sea of students as they gathered around, spectating.
"YER BETTER TAKE THAT BACK, YER PIG" Samu shouted, grabbing onto Tsumu's collar, shaking him angrily.
"WHAT? I'M JUST SAYING IT LIKE IT IS! IF YER CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH, THATS YER OWN PROBLEM" Tsumu shouted back, equally angry.
"P-please help us, Miya-san" the teacher begged me, while students in the background continued to watch, entertained by the fight.
"Of course, I apologise for the trouble my brothers caused" I replied, feeling sorry for the teacher.
"Excuse me, please let me through" I told the first years, monotonously.
They turned around, eyes widening as they moved out of the way.
'She's so intimidating!!!!' they simultaneously thought.
"Oi, you two, stop it" I told them, walking closer to them.
They continued to fight, totally lost in their anger, I asked the teacher for some papers.
I rolled them up and smacked tho two idiots with it.
*BONK* *SMACK*
"OUCH" they both exclaimed holding their heads in their hands, glaring up at the culprit who dared to hit them.
"...yer glarin' at me now?" I raised my eyebrows.
Their facial expression dropped as they stuttered out apologies, regretting their life decisions.
"W-WE'RE SORRY NEE-SAN"
I walked home with Nina because the twins had a club meeting to attend at school.
"So I heard that the twins got into a fight today?" Nina chirped while laughing.
"Yea...my parents won't be very happy about that.." I commented while looking at the path in front of us.
"Hm I could imagine..oh and by the way, some first year managed to record the whole fight and even got the part where you smacked them and uploaded it to social media, it's actually really funny" Nina told me.
I could only sigh in response.
The twins got an earful from Okaa-san and Otou-san when they came back from their club meeting. I heard yelling of disapproval and disappointment as I was reading a book for my English class.
The lecture that seemed to last for hours finally stopped before I heard footsteps coming upstairs as the twins proceeded to go into their room.
A while later, my door opened, mops of dark grey and blonde hair in the doorway with crestfallen faces.
Looking up from my book, I motioned them to come in, putting the book aside.
The twins hugged my figure after they laid down beside me, their faces buried in my hair as I rubbed their backs, comforting them.
I didn't say anything as I waited for them to start talking whenever they were ready.
"They told us..." Tsumu started, unable to finish his sentence.
"To quit volleyball..." Samu finished, quietly.
What?...
"That's a bit harsh" I replied softly, continuing to comfort the heartbroken twins.
"Mhm" they both replied, continuing to embrace me while burying their heads in my hair.
"Hmm, I'll talk to them for ya" I volunteered.
"Thanks...Nee-san" the twins replied, dozing off.
I continued to caress their hair as they fell asleep.
Yer poor things...can't survive without volleyball can ya...
I thought a bit amused before I too fell asleep alongside my brothers.

Though don't worry this doesn't mean you can't enjoy this one before I write the first. This is the first story I've actually published so I appreciate any feedback, be it good or bad just let me know what you think.
