《Kita Shinsuke》Chapter 3

I sat down at the desk and turned on the computer. "How do you have such good grades?" I asked him. My grades weren't the best so some tips would be good. "I guess I just study a lot." He said clueless that I needed help with that work. I scrolled through the lists of volleyball clubs.
No, no, no. These teams all seem like they wouldn't be able to do a match. I came across one team that I thought might be good. "Hey Kita?" I looked over at him. "Hmm?" He met eyes with me. "What do you think about Karasuno for a match?" I asked looking back at the screen.
"I heard they've been getting better." I scrolled through their players. "Sure." He looked at the screen with me. His face brushing against mine. "These players look pretty good." I tried to stay facing forward. His breath was warm against my cold face and he had one hand on my shoulder.
I looked up the phone number for the manager and dialled it in. It started to ring and vibrate. I held it against my ear and waited for an answer. "Hello?" A voice came through the phone. "Hi, is this Karasuno?" I asked pushing back my chair. "Yes that's us." The man answered. "Sorry to bother you but I am the coach of Inarizaki High and I am wondering if you would like to have a practice match, if your free?" I started to walk around the office waiting for an answer. "Of course we were actually going to try and find a practice match soon." He answered me. "Well. We were actually about to go to a camp with some other teams if you would like to join." He started again. "I would like that." I said smiling at this nice man through the phone.

He continued to tell me the details and I wrote them down. "Thank you very much." I said. "Goodbye." He said. "Goodbye." I replied. I hung up the phone and sat down. "I got us a camp." I laughed. "Great job." He answered putting a bit more emotion in it. I checked over the notes, two weeks from now for 5 days. 5 teams but with us it'll be 6. Sounds good anyway.
"Wanna grab a bite to eat?" I asked him. He was usually free most days. "Sure." He answered picking up his bag. "Does your face still hurt?" He asked holding open the door. "Not really to be honest," I said but I wasn't really telling the truth. We walked out of the school towards a coffee shop nearby. I sat down and started to talk again.
Kita and I had always been close ever since we met. He was always there for me and I enjoyed talking to him. He was never rude like a certain person I know. We were close enough that we could stay at each other houses. Whenever I needed help with studying or just a break from the two dickheads in my house I stayed with him.
"I'll have a tea please," he said to the waiter. He looked at me and I shook my head "I'm not that hungry," he lifted an eyebrow but didn't look into it. "Just a tea then?" The waiter asked. He nodded slowly. She walked off. "I thought you were hungry?" He turned his attention to me. "I-I changed my mind." I stuttered. "Alright but you really should eat something." He told me sounding a bit worried. I smiled "I'll eat when I'm hungry thanks." I sort of let out a laugh. I talked with him as he waited for his tea. "You know what I haven't seen you having any coffee recently." He turned his head.

Oh shoot, my coffee addiction. "Well you know I was finding it hard to sleep so I stopped." I mumbled. "Oh right of course." He stuttered which was weird. Kita never stuttered.
My head started to ache a bit so I put my hand to my head. "We should really go to the nurse for that." He said bringing his hand up to my head. His hand was warm and soft to the touch. "I have some stuff at home for that." I replied.
